THE BIG YELLOW HOUSE

Welcome to The Big Yellow House, a Cape Cod-style waterfront home on Lake Couchiching designed for families and respectful groups looking to relax, reconnect and enjoy cottage life right on the water!

The home features four bedrooms, a spacious open-concept kitchen and living area, a large waterfront deck, beautiful lake views and plenty of room to enjoy time together.

In the summer, guests can relax on the seasonal L-shaped dock, sit back in a Muskoka chair and enjoy the water, wildlife and peaceful surroundings. From the rear of the property, you can also see Big Chief Island.

The home is located in Cumberland Beach, a quiet lakeside community just north of Orillia. It is approximately 2 km from the famous Weber’s Burgers and about 20 minutes from Casino Rama.

Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living space and a large-screen television with streaming capability for rainy days or quiet evenings.

The water is generally shallow near shore and gradually becomes deeper farther out. Water shoes are recommended because the lake bottom can be soft and sandy in places.

The home accommodates up to 10 guests.

Bedroom layout:

• Primary bedroom with king-size bed
• Second bedroom with queen-size bed
• Third bedroom with two queen-size beds
• Main-floor bunk room for guests who prefer additional sleeping space or privacy

Three bedrooms are located upstairs, and the bunk room is on the main floor.

The property is ideal for families and peaceful getaways. It is not suitable for parties, loud music or large gatherings. The home is located in a quiet community with nearby neighbours, so we ask guests to respect the surroundings at all times.

Guests planning to use the fire pit should bring or purchase firewood on the way up Highway 11. We also recommend bringing water shoes for the swimmers!
