This is the perfect get away spot only 15 minutes from the pickwick dam. There is a carport for parking your boat and if you want to do a little fishing closer to the cabin the Bruton branch campground is only 3 miles away which also has a boat ramp! At the cabin you can hang out at the multiple fire pits, swing on the porch swing, and fire up that grill for a juicy meal. DVDs on site as well as multiple board games suitable for all. Run around and explore the grounds and you will find a little pebble path the kids will enjoy. You wonât regret spending time in nature!
The cabin was as described, comfortable and clean. The location was good except for my Verizon service provider had no reception. My husband and I enjoyed the time together and especially the Buford Pusser museum. Thanks,Theresa
We loved the cabin. It was in a beautiful area & just as described. We did contact Keri a few times, and she was always quick to respond and to offer help. We would love to come back in the summer and see what the area is like then.
Nice place, clean and comfortable 5 mins from a good boat ramp.
All went well overall. Disappointed that any phone number for the site was hidden. Not sure how I found the host phone number but I did, once. Was going to call a different time and couldn't find it. Should be on the VRBO notifications I got but not there.
I would stay t
Here again. Glad I found it.
It was great for what we needed for the weekend. Weather was a little cold for outdoor activities. When reliable internet is available it will be perfect.
The cabin was very clean (my kids still talk about how good the cabin smelled), it was just the perfect size for our large family! Overall, beds slept great, stocked well with games, kitchen appliances, towels, etc. We enjoyed our long weekend and plan on returning in the future! Only downside (wasnât that big of a downside) was my phone didnât have good service. I didnât understand the hotspot booster, but that wasnât owners fault!
Communication is fantastic with the owner. The cabin is spacious and served its purpose well for our fishing trip. As has been mentioned, your cellphone service and wifi is pretty much non-existent in this location and may locations in the area so just be aware of that. Outside of that, the value of this VRBO is very good. I would consider staying again.
It was easy access to Pickwick Lake, house was perfect for our family of 6, and communication with host was in a timely manner. Our only complaint was the grass needed a trim due to it being snake seaon.
Location pics not accurate (not boat friendly like outdoor pic's depicted) ... TV didn't work ... No Kuerig coffeemaker ... No toaster ... not very clean ... cell service spotty at best
It was an awesome cabin but no wifi was the worse problem as could not contact family back home to chk.on them.we would have to drive into town to be able to call or text.No tv just some old movies to watch.
I'm a fun loving Tennessean through and through. I grew up camping with my family religiously every weekend that I wasn't playing travel ball. This is where the theme came from (vintage camp). I can't tell you how many hours my dad drug me through antique stores and many of the pieces inside the cabin come from pickwick's very own ANTIQUE store. I was an outdoorsy girl very involved in sports and being girly.
This perfect little spot spoke to me when it came up for sale. I am in real estate and dreamed of having an air bnb. I came out to see the property and knew this was the spot. IF not for renting out, a second spot for my family that isn't too far from Memphis. Only thing we are missing is a boat đ¶ đ
I think the decor makes it a fun vibe. Most decorate with the traditional farmhouse style with lake written on a big picture, or boats and buoys, cranes... I wanted to take it a different way to make you feel like a scout out in the woods... I do plan on adding put put... and some more outdoor lawn games and swings!!! Can't wait to add that addition!!
