This newly refurbished property is located in the 'Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community'. A mountain oasis that offers a perfect blend of both modern conveniences (high speed wireless internet, smart televisions throughout, a hot tub, pool table, gas fireplace and MORE!) with the quaint atmosphere of the woodlands of the Great Smoky Mountains!
Loved the area of the rental. Very peaceful. The hot tub only had one side of the jets working but still very relaxing. We even got to see some local wildlife. A bear walked up the road beside the property.
Excellent house, excellent location. Had everything we needed and then some. Clean, comfortable and I would highly recommend this property for a family visiting Gatlinburg. Outstanding base of operations for day trips to Gatlinburg and Smokey Mountain National Park. Can't say enough good things about our stay. We would stay there again for sure.
This cabin was the perfect gathering spot for my family to use as a home base as we explored Gatlinburg and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The 5 year old loved the swing set. Everyone loved the bean bags. The hot tub was great after a long day of hiking.
Overall great cabin with a nice location. We enjoyed our stay. Could use an update to the dishwasher and would be nice to have a supply of kitchen towels/dishcloths. Overall though we highly recommend.
Beautiful place. We had a boys weekend get together and had a great time. All the amenities were proper and nothing in the house disappointed or took away from the weekend fun.
Over all we enjoyed our stay. Checking in was delayed about 30-45 minutes due to the cleaner still being there, which I am sure was a one off. However, The pictures on VRBO were misleading in terms of location and view. There are houses all around and the pictures give the impression that it is secluded. As far as space and comfort and location to Gatlinburg, it was great.
It was a great place, the only thing was the hot tub was not functional, was really looking forward to the hot tub. But overall it was a great week end.
We brought 5 teenage girls for my daughterâs birthday. The bunk room was perfect for them to all stay in. We all had plenty of room. The hot tub and the pool table was a hit. My only complaint would be the garage door didnât close all the way which made me a little uneasy. But other than that, everything was very nice. Would definitely recommend this property to others.
We were very happy with our stay, the house was just what we needed! The hot tub was clean and fun for all. The location is close to everything yet far enough away. Michael the host was very responsive and willing to help. A few things could be updated at the property but overall nice for the price. My only minor complaint is that one of the bedrooms is listed as having a king bed and there was not a king bed in any of the bedrooms. So be aware if you are expecting that for sleeping arrangements. Overall it was a nice place to stay for the week.
Nice place but couldn't use some maintenance on the house, gutters were stopped up on the house, no lights to walk up to entrance of house it was really dark. Wife fell over timbers and hurt her knees, hands and chin prase good nothing broke. Living room needs some extra seating and the lower level. The faucets in bath tub not really functional so everyone had to use upstairs shower. Lower level the toilet doesn't flush as it should ether. But over all i doubt i would stay there again unless improvements are made.
This was a nice place. Most everything was as expected. We enjoyed the amenities. The house was fully stocked. The firepit, the pool table, and the hot tub was a plus. We couldn't get the fireplace working, it seems like a fire hazard, and that was something we wanted initially. It wasn't far from downtown and a couple good places to eat was really close. The area was quiet, but there are a lot of rentals, so in the warm months, I don't think it would be so peaceful. Not any good walking trails and some of the neighbors seem unfriendly, so don't miss the driveway and the driveway is a bit of a hassle. You can't pull straight in. You have to turn, back up, turn....repeat until you have it. (picture Austin Powers in the tunnel) Or, come in the other direction, which is the long way, then you can pull straight in. (If you have a small car, maybe not.) Overall, it was not bad! It isn't perfect, but it isn't terrible.
We had 12 people stay - 4 adults, 8 kids. Plenty of room for everyone.
Layout: You enter and can go down to the basement, which has a pool table, a bathroom, and a pull-out couch, and access to the garage (laundry) and outside to the hot tub. Or go upstairs to the main living room, kitchen with large table, and then down a hall to three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Kids room: One set of bunk beds was a full size so we could put two kids in those beds. Others: Two other bedrooms, one with access to the deck and a bathroom, one regular room. Both queen beds. Comfortable. Thin walls!
Check-in: We asked if we could show up 30-60 minutes early and that was fine, but the cleaning crew was still there, and weren't done until after check-in time. Otherwise, all is well.
Check-out: No instructions given so we tried to clean up as best as possible and gather linens.
Kitchen: Well stocked, though not enough plates for all the people we had, so we got paper plates. Two grills were provided but no propane, which we had to provide on our own.
Outside: Steep driveway that you had to back into, so keep that in mind. Not easy to get out. But that's the terrain there! Firepit was great. Kids liked the playground. Hot tub was good enough, could've been hotter. We saw bears every single night and some mornings!
Location: Close to Gatlinburg. Easy to get to. It's not really a cabin but a home in a neighborhood, so keep that in mind. It was quiet and we have no complaints.
Thanks!!
