Tucked away in the 24-7 gated community of Shagbark; enjoy the serene wooded and mountain views. This cabin is perfect for the entire family to enjoy the Smoky Mountains. It is a combination of luxury and privacy. Cabin sits on just under 3 acres with plenty of outdoor area for sitting and relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view of the mountain.

The family can spend countless hours indoors playing games, sitting on the deck enjoying the sounds of nature or sitting in the hammock and reading your favorite novel. Maybe enjoy a game of horseshoes or corn hole if you are feeling competitive.

Natural sunlight streams into the living space through floor to ceiling A-frame windows, with plenty of seating for the entire family. Turn on your gas fireplace and unwind after a long fun filled day of making memories with loved ones. Perhaps a soak in the 6 person hot tub on the deck or enjoy some downtime in one of the jacuzzi tubs.

Kitchen is fully equipped with all cookware and utensils needed for all of your home cooked meals your family desires.

Cabin has sleeping capacity for 15, guests have a choice of two Kings, two queens, a pull out couch, 2 regular couches and a 3 twin bunk beds (6 twin beds).

The cabin was beautiful and so spacious! The kids loved having their own area downstairs, especially the cute playhouse under the steps. The host was super nice and responded quickly to any questions we had. Definitely recommend!

A MUST STAY!

This is the BEST house that we’ve ever stayed in!! We’ve always had one or multiple things not right in the houses we’ve stayed in, but not this one! It was spotless which is rare and the furnishings were tasteful and beautiful. The views are to die for. Just gorgeous. It is a must stay!

Spectacular getaway

We had such a great time at the cabin. The owners were very responsive. We had 4 veteran families come together and was more than enough room. The cabin had everything we needed, plus more. We have been already talking about coming back out to this place. We did 2 nights, but will definitely do 3-4 nights next time. Fully recommended this place to anyone looking for a getaway.

Ripken Pigeon Forge Week-Long Stay

Two families, 11 total (6 adults, 5 kids). Beautiful views, plenty of space, ~25-30 minute drive to Ripken Park. Would stay again.

Family Vacation

Many different family members converged here for a week of relaxation and boy was it. The views are breathtaking and it's so peaceful. They have everything you need there, so just pack a car full of groceries and you will be set for a restful week away. I would definitely recommend and like to go back. The owner was very helpful and responsive.

The house was very comfortable. We had multiple bear sightings. A gas grill on the deck would have been nice. There were plenty of activities for the children that were offered.

Summer fun

Great property! Plenty of space for our large group. Easy communication with Cary, Chris and Corinne, who graciously answered all of our questions fully and promptly. And they're not kidding about the bears. Saw three different ones while there, which made the kids exceptionally happy! Definitely recommend this wonderful home!

Amazingly beautiful

Awesome Family Getaway

This was as good as advertised. We had 15 in our family and the place was so roomy and had amazing views. Everything about the house and property was perfect and we had zero issues. Chris and his wife were quick to answer questions and help us if he had anything we needed. 10/10 would do it again!

PERFECT GETAWAY!

This property is all that it claims and more. This was our third trip to the area in the last year and this property was hands down our favorite. Something to do for all ages and my grandchildren loved playing on the huge deck. And Chris the property owner was amazing to work with. We are already planning our next trip back for next year.

The property was in great shape and we had a blast as a family. We were graced with a male and a few female turkeys most of the week and a visit from a bear one night while eating dinner on the deck. We would recommend the property to anyone looking for a stay in the mountains. If we are looking for a place in the area in the future we will try to be repeat customers!

Family Vacation

The Cabin and property were exactly as advertised. The Cabin was beautifully decorated and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. We loved the fact that each bedroom had a private bath; except the bunk room. We often found our 7 year old tucked away in the play area underneath the stairs, either reading or gaming. Our hosts Chris and Corinne were very helpful with our questions. We enjoyed our visit and the cabin was perfect for our needs!

Beautiful location! Great Host!

Great home that sleeps a lot of people! Beautiful spot in the mountains in a great neighborhood. Chris, the host, is extremely responsive and was helpful when we needed something. Open floor plan made it easy to move about. The windows provide a beautiful way to see nature. We loved being away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist trap towns located near by. The big porch had a lot of seating and worked out great for eating outside, lots of tables (but wear your shoes as the wood is dry and our kids got a lot of splinters). The community areas for kids to play in were beautifully kept and had balls for all the sports!

Our first family vacation in Tennessee!

Our stay was everything we had hoped. The home was as large as it looked in the photos. Our family of 11 fit great and we never felt on top of each other. The play area kept the kids busy during our free time. All the activities were close by. The area was in a good location to visit Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the National Park. We had several visits from bears and turkeys! And the sunset views were amazing. We can't wait to come back! This is a great home to rent and we definitely recommend it.

Great Stay in the Mountains

We had a great stay at Haven of Rest! The house was beautiful, clean, great location, and beautiful view. Plenty of room for our group of 11. The kids had a great time in the playhouse and using the theater seats. Adults enjoyed the hot tub and hanging out on the deck. Location is a short drive to a lot of attractions and hiking but far enough that it is quiet and private. Make sure to follow all the food rules because we saw two bears walk right through the yard. I would highly recommend this property to anyone!

Dying to go back!!

My husband and I invited our immediate family for a small wedding in TN. While we were there, Becky was kinda enough to share her cabin with us! I couldn’t get my little brothers away from the pool table & video games. My mom was glued to the balcony, enjoying the view, while my dad melted his worries away in the hot tub. My husband and I quickly assigned ourselves to the King Suite with included an emerald and gold decorated bathroom with a jets in the tub. My family had to drag me away from this place and I cannot WAIT to go back!! Becky was only a message away. She replied promptly and kindly! Thank you, Becky!

Paradise in the mountains

Haven of Rest is such a beautiful cabin with breathtaking views and so much spacious land. The cabin was well kept, and fully equipped with your basic essential items such as plates, cups, utensils, pots/pans, wine glasses, and even a griddle(this was extremely convenient)! All bedrooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. Every bedroom had a full bathroom available except for the bedroom with the bunks. Although I did not have any children with my group during this stay, the cabin had a cute play area for children along with board games and chalk... I thought that was amazing! Chris was quick with responding to my messages when I had questions. My only suggestion for the host is to have cleaning products and garbage bags available for use. There were no wipes or cleaning sprays available to clean the counters or stove, I had to purchase my own cleaning wipes simply because I did not want to leave the counters looking messy. Other than this minor issue, my stay here in this cabin was everything I could have imagined to be. I highly recommend staying here with your family or a group of friends, you are guaranteed to have an amazing time! Thank you Chris for providing a cozy, beautiful, homey cabin!

My wife (Corinne) and I are from Tennessee. I grew up in Sevier County and she is from the Nashville area. We love meeting and hosting people and spending relaxing weekends at the cabin. We also have a historic Victorian house we renovated in Knoxville.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We love the beautiful sunsets from this cabin and the comfort of this neighborhood. We also love the safety of having a 24 hour security gate. About 50% of the cabins in the neighborhood are long term private residences so it creates a more comfortable local feel vs a big touristy complex.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The cabin was built by a family over the course of 4 years. The husband loved designing the place and picking out different woods for the stairs, floor, doors, window casings, etc. He was very passionate about building the place to last and have character. The cabin has great insulation and so much peacefulness about it and the property.
