The perfect, private lake retreat, less than 1 mile from Richard B. Russell State Park, public beach, boat ramps, golf course and more! Only 8 miles from the charming town of Elberton, GA. Come stay, play and retreat from the every day hustle. Cozy living space, plenty of room to enjoy nature and only a short walk to the lakeshore. Great for couples, families or even a weekend away with friends!

Living space is on the 2nd story, accessed by an interior set of stairs.

Georgia Coldwater Retreat is cozy, clean and quiet. Hardwoods throughout, plantation shutters, granite countertops and new furnishings for your stay. We have a sprawling 3-car garage with a ping-pong table and will be adding more entertainment options soon!

The kitchen was well equipped, parking was great, we like being off the road, we didn't feel like we had to take fishing equipment in. We had a dining table light go out, texting with the host he got it straightened out.

Great getaway spot

We loved our stay here. It is such a comfortable cottage. We stayed here because our daughter was playing in a golf tournament at Lake Russell State Park and this could not have been more convenient. It was a wonderful home away from home!

Excellent experience! We had a great check in proccess, the cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway, and the scenery was beautiful! Highly reccomend!

Perfect quiet getaway

We loved this place and the location convenience of it, few miles from a super cute winery. Minutes from the state park, and walking distance to the beautiful lake! We will definitely be back

Great little property on the river.

Fun quick weekend playing disc golf in nearby richard b russell park, house was perfect. If they ever put a dock on the property it will be amazing.

Great place to kayak

Enjoyed being a short walk to the water and using the kayaks, playing ping pong, roasting marshmallows over a fire, and resting easy on the comfy beds. Very peaceful!

Just what we needed

The check in was smooth as butter and the house is super cute. The kids had a wonderful time and watching Bambi and his family graze in the mornings was a plus! The owners were easy to talk to and everything was just what we needed. Will definitely stay again!

Nice small garage lake home. Like a home away from home it has everything we needed for a few days of fishing. Comfortable couch and beds after all day on the lake. Our second time using the home...... We'll be back.

Old friends fishing on Lake Russell

Plenty of room to park our boat. The living area was great, clean, nice refrigerator, the kitchen was supplied very well. Plenty of room.

Great Place!

We own property across the road that does not have enough space for our modest family of 16 so we rented this for our children and grandchilden. It was way better than expected! Beautiful place! Thank you! Very clean and modern!

House right next to the state park

Perfect location for spending time in Richard Russell state park. Make sure to check the Nest thermostat and make sure the schedule isn’t set to heat every 3 hours!!
