Amazing location of the house along the Mississippi River, with very easy access to the lovely dirt roads in the region for gravel bicycle riding. The house was amazingly quiet except for when the train was passing through, but if the windows are closed, the train noise is very much minimized. The kitchen has everything you need to make simple meals, and the garage was an amazing place for us to work on our bikes.

Loved being right on the river

Very nice, clean and comfortable. We would have liked shades or curtains on the sun facing windows, but we loved the view of the river.

Beautiful!! Will be back!

Wonderful little stay on the Mississippi River. The most AMAZING sunrises to wake up to ... as well as beautiful moon rises over the river. We will definitely be back! Fun little bars in town if you wish to step out ... had a blast. Ran down to the meat market across the border in IA, and that was a hoot! Very CLEAN and had every thing you need in a kitchen to cook anything. Wonderful host!

Wonderful Little River getaway

We had a wonderful two night stay at the river house. Communication was great. The house is just as advertised, clean, pretty a great location, and fully stocked for anything we would need. We definitely look forward to coming back for another visit.

Being right on the water was spectacular. Saw giant river barges and small kayaks go past. Very relaxing and the house was perfect.

Rest & Relax

My girlfriend and I chose this rental for a weekend get away to unwind and decompress from our jobs. This place was exactly what we needed. Not too big and not too small. Located right on the water with it’s own boat dock making this a perfect place if you plan boat/water activities. The morning sunrises here are perfect!

Riverside getaway

This property is so cute! And the views are beautiful! The sunrise is worth getting up for! The property owner is great with communication and very nice. The fishing off the dock was great and will for sure be back again!

Wonderful Place

This place was amazing and we would definitely stay again! The property is very clean and you can't beat the view! We loved hanging out on the back patio in front of the fire table watching all of the boats go by on the river.

Couples getaway weekend

This is a perfect spot for 2 people to enjoy quiet time with the gorgeous river views. We loved sitting outside on the patio and enjoying view, watching the barges on the river and fishing from the dock. Nearby La Crosse Wisconsin had hiking and shopping and restaurants as well as the local restaurants in Brownsville. Would recommend for a couple getaway for sure.

Family get away

This property is beautiful and right on the Mississippi River. The views were amazing and I bet it is beautiful with the fall colors. This would make a great place to stay for a visit the University of LaCross or just to get away.

Very Awesome Place

This is our 4th time staying at this property and already booked again. It is very comfortable and in a great location for boating and visiting Lawrence Lake Marina. The property has everything you need.

Perfect little getaway

We loved the location right on the river! The most beautiful views and sunrises in the morning. Lots of boat action to watch also. House was great, clean, simple and stocked with all the essentials. We stopped at the gas station a few times and it was very cute and the people were very friendly. Saxon Hall had the best pizza and entertaining atmosphere. We definitely recommend this place to stay if you looking for a relaxing yet entertaining stay.

Beautiful sunrises and wonderful views of the Mississippi

This property is definitely a couples romantic retreat! Both the sunrises in the morning and the moon glistening on the river at night were quit spectacular! We didn’t have a lot of time to sit in the back and enjoy the views, or fish from the dock but both were available. The property was clean, smartly decorated and the place was quiet and peaceful. Entertainment, good restaurants and marinas close by. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful Place for Couples

This place was perfect for two people with three fully-stocked living areas. (living room, kitchen, bedroom.) The view of the Mississippi River is spectacular! It feels like you're in the water as the home has a ramp right off of the patio leading down to the river. Accommodations were very nice with a comfortable sofa, nice pub table & chairs, and a comfortable mattress on the king-sized bed. Kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and cookware. Towels were thick and soft; unlike some VRBO,'s with thin, well-used linens and towels. Washer/dryer, ice maker, outdoor gas firepit, and thickly padded deck furniture were all pluses. This is a great place to stay!

Very relaxing!

My husband and myself spent the week at the cabin and enjoyed the waterfront view with private deck! Everything was as described and Cathy was a gem!!! We spent our time between the water and near by attractions! High stars for this cabin! Thank you Cathy!
