Private Studio * Fenced Yard * Dogs FREE * 30 min to Asheville
This private studio is the perfect size for solo travelers and couples looking for a stylish place to stay with their dogs, who want the convenience of a house with a fenced yard, BBQ area and kitchenette.
Located on a flat lot in the mountain foothills, the house is set in a residential wooded area just minutes from a vibrant small town Main Street and tons of hiking trails.
We arrived with our two schnauzers to find a big fenced yard for them to run around in , and immaculately clean house, and anything you would possibly need to relax and have a comfortable stay. The neighborhood is clean and quiet, it's close to multiple choices of restaurants and shopping. The yard is beautiful ! We had a wonderful time!
We were very comfortable at Karenâs cottage. It was stocked with everything!
Bentley, our dog, had a fenced in yard , cookies, toys and a bed supplied.
The location is very quiet and convenient to everything.
Karen is an excellent host and Bentley enjoyed playing with her pups.
We hope to return soon .
After living and working in St. Louis MO most of my life, I moved to the NC mountains in 2020.
I love quaint small towns and unique city experiences. I'm into dogs, having fostered over 30 from newborns to seniors. I also have an antique booth/eBay business.
I usually travel with friends or my mom, and while I'm not a drinker, I'm a fan of breweries and wineries.
I've travelled with my dogs many times, and it's a real hassle to put them on leashes 3-4 times a day so they can go outside. Hotels also lead to unfamiliar noises that gets my dogs barking, which makes me nervous during the day, and is annoying at night. My goal is to offer you a place you and your dog(s) can vacation where the dogs are welcomed, and I've made traveling with them easy.
The studio was built in 2020, so everything is nearly new. It was designed as a place I could live full-time, and I did for over a year! Pull the curtain for privacy in the sleeping area, or open it up to see the fireplace and TV from bed.
While the kitchen doesn't have an oven/stove, you shouldn't have any trouble preparing meals with 2 outside cooking options, a microwave and crockpot.
But the fenced yard is what makes this property truly unique. Open your front door (or the doggy door) and the dogs are already inside the fenced yard. In nice weather, feel free to leave the front door open when you are home and give the dogs a vacation where they can go in and out as much as they want. Tucked in the back of the yard is a totally private covered sitting area right next to a wood firepit/BBQ. The area has twinkle lights at night and it's right next to the wood shed.
