This place is absolutely perfect for us! We continue to choose this property along with its sister property next door when vacationing on the White River. We look forward to returning next year.
Great time staying in the little red cabin. Place was clean and stocked well with kitchen necessities, towels and linens. Great location for fishing in the white river with easy river access. Will be back.
This little place was just perfect for my wife and I. Very clean. Awesome location. I was told the cold river was full of trout. The weather just happened to be extremely hot so we really enjoyed the air conditioning.
Just a great location on a great river and the neighborhood was real quiet. Rented a boat to fish at White Hole and we could pull in and change was conveinient. Would love to stay in the fall when the water is lower
Beautiful and comfortable newer cottage, fully stocked with linens, dishes, cookware, etc., everything but food! Relaxing covered patio that looks over the river. Beautiful view. We saw a fox across the river two mornings in a row. We would stay here again!
In January we experienced the minimum low flow, 750 cf/sec and now have seen 26000 cf/sec. We were able to coax 7 big browns to the bank during stay. Weather was beautiful.
We had an excellent visit. Check-in was very easy. The house is perfect for a couple or small family of 4.
The main bedroom was comfortable and the second bedroom has a set of bunk beds for the children.
The house is located on the White River and is very quiet and peaceful.
Plenty of firewood available.
You can fish from the river bank or just sit outside and enjoy nature.
The house was very clean and had everything we needed to eat in.
If we are ever back that way, we would not hesitate to stay here again.
My son (19) and I spent a couple days fly fishing on the White River and stayed in the smaller of the two houses located on this property. It worked perfectly for us, and itâs nice, clean and modern. WI-FI is fast, two TVâs with Roku are new, kitchen and eating area is one room and well stocked. Bedrooms are a single queen and two twin beds. Property affronts a large shoal on the White, itâs wadable/fishable when the water is not running. Large, well maintained lot, beautiful trees and view of the river. The owner is very nice and quick with replies. Less than 500 yards from the White Hole Public Access.
My family and I stayed here for spring break and loved it. Everything in Jenniferâs description of the property is 100% accurate. The cabin is newer, clean and had all of the kitchen and bathroom basics. (No dishwasher). The views are amazing, the wildlife abundant- and if youâre a birder like me, this is the place to stay.
For groceries, or anything you might have forgotten, there is a Walmart Supercenter 15-20 min away and there are plenty of restaurants close by as well.
When we arrived my boys were so taken aback by how close we were to the River that they had their waders on and lines in the water before we even had a chance to unload the car. 6-8 generators were running the entire time so the water was up pretty high and flowing fast. This made it a little tricky to fish from behind the house, but my oldest son still managed to catch 4 rainbows that were about 8-10â. We rented a boat right down the road at the White Hole Resort- nice boats and very reasonable rates for a 5 hour rental.
In all we had a wonderful time and will definitely recommend staying here to everyone we know!
We stayed at the property for 2 nights, somewhat last minute. The cottage was clean and stocked with ample needed supplies. The property was well maintained and had a nice stairway down to River. The river was operating at minimum flows and we were able to wade out in the river and fly fish right in front of the house. We caught a bunch of fish right out front of the property.
The host was super accommodating. We had a different property booked on the day of check out as we were meeting up with our family, since there was no one checking in that afternoon, she let us stay in the house until 2:30pm so we weren't transients with our dogs for 6 hours in between the two properties. We offered to pay her for the extra time which she would not take from us.
The bed was comfortable, couches were comfortable, and everything worked as needed. We didn't do laundry there, but there was laundry available.
We loved this house and would stay here again. The host was responsive, accommodating, and runs a very nice cottage on the White River. Thanks again for everything
Our family was looking for a relaxing getaway and this cabin fit the bill. Most of our vacations are more hustle and bustle and we eat out for every meal. We were looking for something that would allow us to fish, get out on the lake and cook in. I will say we brought all of our food with us, and I didnât notice any big grocery stores around. There also werenât any restaurants that I noticed had we wanted to eat out. The only down side I felt was not having a dishwasher or disposal. I did more dishes than I would care to on a vacation. Thatâs also the chore at home that I dislike the most. Not a big deal though. We did boat rentals from both lake view cove marina and bull shoals lake marina. Both were wonderful. The cabin is small and quant but it fit our family of 5 just fine. Kids are 3, 6 and 9. We enjoyed the fire pit and river. It was low and had some shoreline when we first got there and then rose after the rain. The road in was very quiet leading to the cabin so I was able to safely get some walking in as well. All in all a great time!
We arrived at a wonderful cabin on the White River that was the perfect size for our family of 4 (three adults and our miniature Schnauzer Lily).
We had a fishing trip set up for Bull Shoals Lake with a guide named Crazy Mike. He was awesome and provided a wonderful day of fishing. We were able to catch a few and bring a small amount home to cook. We are used to Bass fishing, and this is different from Bass fishing. It was a neat experience that I am glad we had.
The next day we went to Bull Shoals Caverns and enjoyed a beautiful tour of the cavern. We showed up around 10:30 in the morning and the tour takes around 45 minutes.
We walked around the White River shores right behind our cabin. There were many boats going up and down the river for people to Trout fish. We may need to try that out next time.
We were able to pick up groceries in Flippin Arkansas and bought food from Subway and Pizza Hut. The accommodations allowed for meal preparation, but we mostly ate sandwiches and food that did not require cooking.
We drove a little over 6 hours to get to the cabin and again the 6 plus hours home. We enjoyed the trip and that it was not that far to drive to enjoy the beautiful area around Flippin and Bull Shoals Arkansas.
Thank you for the special experience and the feeling of home and comfort during our stay. :)
We spent four days here and it was great! My husband had just finished chemo and radiation and it was a celebratory trip! He ended up not being able to fish but our 10 year old grandson and sister in law and brother in law did get to enjoy the river. Hopefully we can make another trip there when Jerry gets his strength back!
