There is a bedroom on the first floor with a queen sized bed and three beds on the second floor, 2 queen futons and a twin bed. The bathroom has a shower stall and full size clothes washer and dryer. The kitchen has a full size frig, electric stove, oven and microwave with a table that seats 4. Heat is provided by an LP furnace and cooling by a window AC unit.
High speed WiFi is provided by a Starlink satellite dish and entertainment is provided by a 50 inch Roku TV and a desktop computer.
Several restaurants, bars, antique shops and hiking trails are located a short drive away. Black Canyon Lake is located less than 40 minutes drive away for fishing and kayaking.
The cabin had everything we needed (we cooked a lot), including a turntable and great albums. The neighbors we met were super friendly. All in all a great location from which to explore the Mogollon Rim. The local Mexican restaurant (Casa Ramos) was excellent. Perfect place to escape the Tucson heat.
We stayed here a total of 8 nights in the summer months. This place had everything we needed- If youâre a sucker for chapter books, vintage music, and good old fashioned outdoor fun, this is the place for you! We had everything we needed in our home-away-from-home. My husband and I both agreed that we would love to stay here again- A nice place to stay on our vacation when we were between outdoor adventures. Our only complaint would be the innerspring mattress in the main bedroom - If youâve never slept on an innerspring coil mattress, google it. (Itâs a great bed for an individual, not so great when sharing a bed with a partner)The kitchen had everything we needed, and check-in/out was a breeze. Joe is awesome, his place is awesome, and our stay was awesome. Definitely a vintage style cabin that won over our hearts We look forward to staying here again in the future.
While the sign out front says "Nut N Fancy", it might be true that it's not fancy, but I would definitely stay here again, and recommend to anyone, definitely for the price. Clean, warm, and plenty of room. We stayed for about 5 nights, cozy cabin, great location, and quiet.
Peaceful and quiet, no distractions, neighbors must have been on vacation. Highly recommend staying here and would return in a heartbeat. couldn't ask for a nicer host!
Beautiful property, great lodge, very well supplied, comfortable, difficult to use Smart TV, wasn't able to turn off the heat, but overall very pleased
This was my first vacation rental and I am very pleased with how it all went: from reservation to check out. My host, Joe, was in contact. Instructions were easy and accessible. Notes were placed throughout the cabin with operating instructions such as for internet and tv, etc... The cabin is in a nice quiet neighborhood. I felt welcomed and at ease when I arrived. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and Joe provided the exact accomodation I needed. Thank you!!Instructiond
Stayed with my two teenage boys for a weekâŠLoved the space straight awayâŠit had everything we could possibly need and even an awesome record player with a cool tubular Tesla looking sound system :) I love how it felt at home and loads of character and was not just a sterile space with general amenities to lay your head down . Joe was always super helpful and fast with his responses. We got to know the cool folks at the local Market down the street and the burgers at the Red Onion (2mins down the road) were delicious. We would definitely recommend and stay here again. Thanks Joe for sharing your space.
We very much enjoyed our stay. The A-Frame cabin had just the vibe we were looking for - nothing fancy, but definitely suited our needs.
The bed in the downstairs room was very comfortable and had a nice big window above it for nice airflow. The upstairs beds are suitable for kids but adults may find them a little hard on the back. The shower is quite tiny but has decent water pressure and nice hot water. If you are larger or taller, it might be tough to shower in that space.
The neighborhood is densely populated but everyone was extremely friendly. If you have a dog, they will be right at home as most of the homes in the neighborhood have at least two dogs each.
Joe was very easy to communicate with and highly responsive. We had small issues the first and second day but he responded quickly and we were able to remedy things instantly.
My husband and I spent the majority of our two weeks there on the front deck which is very large and nicely shaded.
If you are looking for a cool weather getaway that is comfortable and nothing fancy, this is the place for you!
Trees, brisk air, adorable cabin, and Ravens. This A-Frame Cabin was everything our family was looking for to spend Christmas away from home. It had all the amenities we needed to cook home-cooked meals, the check-in process was a breeze, and the location was an excellent, quiet little neighborhood in the pines.
As a former AirBnB user I know what I didn't like about renting rooms on their website. Even though I visit my cabin regularly you won't find the dressers and closets full of clothes or the frig with old food in it. Everything there is for your use. All the usual things you would expect at a fine hotel, clean beds, clean rooms, and high speed Internet you will find here except an ironing board and iron. You are suppose to be on vacation after all. Dogs OK, no cats.
A very large front deck for entertaining and watching the sun set. The 2nd floor is all open, has several beds and would be great for a kids sleepover party. Overgaard is 20 degrees cooler than the valley and is great for antiquing, hiking and visiting one of the rim lakes for fishing and boating.
