The only thing that we didn't like was that the alarm for the sewer kept going off every time someone showered. Overall it was nice

Awesome vacation

We loved the location being away from the high traffic areas but still being close to beach access. The house was pretty much just as shown on the listing and met all of our expectations! The freight elevator would’ve been very convenient when unpacking and packing to leave. But we would definitely stay again!

Beautiful home, beautiful bay view

Overall, the home was well-furnished, nicely decorated, and convenient, and offers a TV in each room, extra capacity washer and dryer, freight elevator, h/c garage shower, PLENTY of outdoor seating, on-site fishing and crabbing.

Down by the bay!

This is a beautiful property in a nice location. Checkin and checkout were very easy. We loved watching the dolphins in the bay everyday. The house was very clean and the kitchen was perfect for cooking in some nights. My granddaughters loved the "bunk room" upstairs. They were not ready to leave. We would definitely like to vacation here again.

Great location.

Great location and views! Not a good place to swim. We had a few hiccups like alarms going off, electrical breakers and old trash piled up. After contacting the company a few times they sent someone out to pick up the trash. Everything was taken care and the workers were very nice.

Wonderful family vacation

Everything about this house was awesome! Very spacious, with a beautiful view. Just as pictured. Only a couple of complaints. The lift/elevator wasn't working. We stayed three nights, therefore we had lots of luggage and food to bring up. We also had a couple of elderly visitors. So, going up and down those stairs was torture! The other thing was that the floor in my bedroom was gritty from the sand. Other than that everything else was very clean, welcoming, and in order. There was plenty of space to accommodate our large family, and visiting friends. We had a blast, and would love to return!

Beautiful house

First let me say, The house and the view are amazing. There were some things that I wasn’t very happy about. When we checked in the lady told me she was sorry for the over flowing garbage cans by the road bc the people that checked out that morning trashed the place. Garbage by the street isn’t a big deal but a pile of beer cans by our pier and glass bottle tops everywhere was. The pictures on the walls were hanging sideways and not just a little, I guess they really partied. Knob on closet door fell off and a cabinet door on outside sink area was laying on the countertop. Over all our kids had a great time fishing off the pier and playing in the sand Neighbors were very nice.

Stay started off rough, but we ended it well

The size of and amenities of this cabin were suitable for our 3 families with elementary aged children and below. From the looks of advertised pictures I believed the cabin had a walk down beach of it’s own, but it does not. Older kids may have been willing to jump in from the dock, but no one from our bunch wanted to. The management company fixed the AC issues we had upon arriving to the cabin. This was a great spot for our fisherman, they enjoyed the dock frequently. Maybe I’m overly clean l, but baseboards needed to be dusted and removal of dead bugs on the walls would’ve been nice. We also had a few small spiders inside. Make sure you bring your own trash bags, they don’t provide too many extras.

Unfortunately we have to leave a one star review in an effort to let other people know what they are getting into if they rent this property. The photos do not show the actual physical condition of this property nor does it let you know the numerous operating issues associated with it and how long it takes customer service and maintenance to respond. Upon our arrival on a Sunday, none of the TVs would work correctly. Living room tv would turn on but not operate, none of the dvd players provided work or are plugged in or are able to plug in. TVs in the rooms have apps locked. The half bath light was still out when we left 6 days later, you essentially cannot use this bathroom. The AC unit is directly outside of the master bedroom, since this is an older unit it vibrates the walls of the room. You will not get any sleep/rest in this room. We had to shut the AC off. None of the beds are comfortable, rock hard. The place was not clean, floors are filthy and haven’t been properly or thoroughly cleaned in ages. The dock should be condemned. Boards are flipping up and loose. It’s sad to see a property like this not being up-kept. We’ve been renting properties for 6 years now in the area, and this was the worst one. We won’t be returning for this price point.

Spring Get-a-way at Pelican Roost

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at this location. The house was modern, bright, clean and plenty of room. The location off the beaten path provided us with an abundance of privacy. If there were an negatives it would be that we did not expect to have to buy toilet paper (4 people 6 days with 3 rolls of TP) or to also have to purchase trash bags (Just 1 bag for each trash can for 6 days). We would probably rebook this location for future visits.
