The proximity to the beach was the best thing about this property, otherwise, not a good experience. 1) no communication with check in instructions. Had to call Expedia from the airplane after attempts to communicate with owners via VRBO msg and text failed. Did get a door code and property/owner did call but it was difficult to communicate while trying to navigate the airport. 2) Property was dirty and in need of updates (IE: bathroom floor, shower was stained, sticky substance on the walls behind the kitchen sink, etc.) 3) Not provided any check out instructions and had to ask for these to ensure check out went as the owners needed. 4) Initially, not given the full refund of our deposit. We were told that a shelf in the refrigerator was broken. The shelf was already broken upon our arrival, and we didn't end up using the kitchen at all as we had planned due to it not being clean/no dishwasher. We only knew of the shelf because we put a water bottle on the large shelf in the main compartment of the fridge (not the door shelf that was broken/only knew as heard the broken piece rattle when opening/closing the door). 5) Called owners about refund /shelf not our issue, owners did reimburse the full amount of the deposit, but we were told this needed to be reported when we checked in. Not our first VRBO rental. This was vastly different experience. So many places to stay in this area - advise finding somewhere else.
