Our stay was short and we had to come and go a lot but the property was very clean. The pool staff was always cleaning and making everything look very organized. The bar and grill at the pool was very good. Good service, good food, and great selection of draft beers.
It's really a hotel room not a villa. The kitchen is not a kitchen but just a microwave and no dishwasher. Pretty cramped and the view is of other buildings unless you go on patio. It was high season so that was our only option. So if not high season and no big event, then I'm sure there are better options.
Property was great.. communication between Expedia (Vrbo) and Marriott was poor. I received a message saying to check in at the Marriott dessert Springs resort front desk through Vrbo, upon arrival, I was told that i was at the wrong location and that I needed to check in at the Marriot Villas so we loaded up and drove to the other location.
Also our checkout time through Expedia was listed as 11 am. I had the cleaning lady show up at our door this morning saying that check out was at 10 AM and that we needed to vacate asap to avoid late checkout charges. We were completely unprepared and had to scramble to pack in 15 min. I had bought $50 worth of groceries and was just starting to make breakfast for my daughter and myself. All of our groceries went to waste, and I ended up having to buy breakfast elsewhere. Iâve been using Expedia for at least 10 years and this is the first time Iâve had an issue, but it was extremely stressful and we had to use the hotel lobby bathroom to finish getting ready once we vacated the room.
