Very quiet neighborhood. Great place if you are a fisherman. Be prepared to drive to shops and restaurants as the town doesnât really host much of anything.
Antonio was very friendly and easy to communicate with. The property is in a great location with a short walk to a nice quiet beach. Stayed here to visit Cape May and the weekend was very comfortable thanks to this VRBO!
The 1 bedroom suite was big and had everything I needed. The host Antonio was very kind and helpful. Antonio had bikes to use which was a great way to bike around the small town. Enjoyed the quiet stay and pool that had just been set up. The only drawback were the bugs. Apparently the beginning of July is a bad time for bugs which made it difficult to be outside. Other than that, highly recommend it if you are looking to get away from the city as itâs very quiet and remote.
We arrived on Thanksgiving. We were visiting family in Millville and Fortescue for the holiday and a class reunion. As soon as we walked in, we noticed a strong chemical smell, but it was 8pm on Thanksgiving so we lit a candle and went to sleep. By the next morning we were getting headaches and sore throats. The owner Antonio was very kind and responsive. We discovered the smell was mothballs being used to deter critters. I am aware of this since my mom lived around the corner. As a fishing town, skunks, muskrats, cats, etc. are attracted to the bait and fish. Unfortunately, the smell was too much and was making us feel sick so we left and stayed with family and ultimately cut our trip short. This place is cute, clean, affordable and convenient to have some personal space while visiting family. We would stay again of we could be sure the smell was taken care of.
This cottage provided a relaxing retreat on a quiet side street, a short walk from the water, or a short drive to a swimmable beach. The host met us on arrival and gave us a quick tour. He was friendly and easy going. The place was clean, and all appliances seemed to work fine. The small cottage was at the back of the property and was not the house pictured online. It appeared that the owner was working on updates on this and adjacent properties. There is not much around that is actually open, so unless you are there to fish, it's very quiet. We had some difficulty with the reservation system - it does not like changes! - but the VRBO customer service folks eventually got it sorted.
My mother and I stayed in the 1bd/1ba unit at the back of the property (which has outdoor amenities such as a gazebo, fire pit, and a pool that will be installed by next year). The unit was perfect for the two of us! Everything was clean, the air conditioners worked wonderfully (it was literally 90 degrees outside), and it has a perfect little kitchenette for drinks and snacks.
Tony was incredibly hospitable and personable, and Fortescue is a perfect little fishing town with two private beaches, I highly recommend booking with him!

Great host but property needs an upgrade
Host was great. We were supposed to reach by 4 PM, but we were stuck in casinos of Atlantic city and couldn't realize time. We made to this place at 1:25 AM. Host was generous to guide us through the way and show the property. But it is located little inside and backside of the property shown in the image. you will like it when you are expecing a country side living
