This cozy log cabin is located on the Swan River nestled between the Swan Mountain Range and Mission Mountain Wilderness at mile post 42 on MT Hwy 83. It has a full furnished kitchen. The living space is small and therefore works great for 2 singles. There are 2 bedrooms (both queens) and there is a covered porch with a glider chair. You can enjoy beautiful views, a BBQ or camp fire behind the cabin. Hiking trails and lakes are nearby and if your interested in a day trip, Glacier National Park is100 miles away. This is a perfect location for family reunions, weddings, hunting parties, etc. when combining your reservation with our other cabins, camp sites, R.V. spots, river site and community hall reservations. Swan Valley Cafe located across the highway is available for event catering as well. Missoula and Kalispell airports are both about an hour drive away.
Great location for a few days at Holland Lake. Very quiet at night. The beds were not great and need an update. The towels were super old and thin - wouldnât take much to fix that. But honestly it was fine for us, cool cabin, and still had a great vacation. Worth the location and Hungry Bear down the way has great food!
Darling cabin & great hospitality! Iâd love to give it 5 stars, but the mattresses on both beds were awful! My daughterâs mattress sunk in the center and mine was as hard as a rock.
Quick weekend stay for a wedding. Rustic but served our needs well. Small but nice little kitchen. Walked to store next door for fresh brownies in the morning. Every one we talked to on site very friendly. Setting is 3 cabins along side store set back from street.
Stayed two nights at Docs Log Cabin while we hiked some of the local trails. The cabin was small but clean and very functional with everything we needed to enjoy our time there. The store next door had a nice beverage selection and the folks were very friendly and helpful
The lodging was great and having the convenience store right there on the premises was invaluable, along with the laundrymat in the back. Super nice and helpful host! Highly recommend!!!
The cabin and location were both for our trip. Checking in was a breeze and the people at the store were very friendly and helpful. The cabin itself was cute but hadnât been cleaned for some time. There was pretty hair all over the furniture and dust and bugs. The needs were comfy, the internet sketchy but all in all I would stay there again
Doc's cabin is a nice place for a relaxing stay host was pleasant and let us check in early. There was some confusion on cleaning fee as we added an extra day but were charged an additional fee,not sure if we will ever see a refund on that but oh well.
The hosts were very friendly, and the cabin was clean. However, it was about 200 feet from a 70 mile per hour highway, the waterfront that it was supposedly on was a dried out river bed, and, most disturbing was the fact that the cleaning lady was evidently spying on us and reporting conversations that we didnât even have to the hosts.
Staff was amazing. Cabin was ok. Not worth the 178 that we paid for the night. It was clean, hair all over. Shower had mold. Bar of soap left in the shower with hair on it. Couch was full of hair. Beds uncomfortable.
Cabin was nice noise from highway was loud and there was a propane smell in the house. Owners were nice as was older person living next door who helped get fire started. Very smart and kind person
I made arrangements with host some months ago to have my good friend and his family take over the cabin for the stay. (We were going to a wedding down the road). Anyway all went well the first night, that is they checked in and stayed the first night out of three. The next day they were informed that another group was booked in for biking event and the shower. My friend being extremely chill and flexible he agreed to move his family to another location that the wedding host had access to. Imagine my surprise when he told me that about what occurred. Bottom line a little refund is in order.
We show up to the property and pick up the key from the store next door, no property manager on site. The âcabinâ is adjacent to a busy highway(loud). There is a derelict trailer right next to the cabin with two men living there who creeped out the wife immediately. We go into the cabin, immediately we smell raw propane indicating a propane leak in the cabin, the kitchen range was leaking, and there was an ancient propane heater in the cabin as well that could have been leaking gas. While I was checking that out the wife looked at the beds which were dirty with hair all over them. The property manager would not answer their phone when we called them. We had to rent another accommodation. Do not rentâŠ.
