Cozy lakefront log cabin retreat with pier and kayaks

Enjoy a cozy stay at our luxury lakefront log cabin! You’ll have lake access with three kayaks and a paddle boat in the backyard. Stand up paddle board (hard plastic) as of 8/1/22. Be aware that with low water levels this year floating and boating on the lake are best, there is significant muck which makes swimming not a good option. There is a lovely swimming beach with white sand just a five minute walk or one minute bike ride from the house. Sit around the outdoor firepit or enjoy an indoor fire in stone fireplace. Four beds, four baths, great communal central space with gas stove and new fridge. In kitchen is a great coffee area with keurig, tea, and hot cocoa. Kitchen is stocked with pantry essentials and basic cookware, bakeware, and tableware. Master bedroom has its own screened porch with seating and fireplace. There is also a great screened porch off the kitchen for a peaceful breakfast or coffee. Gas powered grill on back deck with lots of seating. Front porch has log cabin style rockers and swing. Enjoy a get away from the city drinking coffee on the back deck with a view of sunrise and sunset. Sit on the beautiful pier and enjoy a picnic on the picnic table or do some yoga on your retreat!

Keep in mind that the cabin is in a private gated community, and ONLY ONE gate pass is provided. No loud parties and no use of private pool or gym.

WiFi is available on site and there are televisions in master bedroom, living room, and downstairs pool table room. It is recommended that you bring your own Amazon fire stick, Roku, etc.

In addition to four spacious bedrooms and bathrooms our house is well set up for families with a small crib, pack n play, high chair, booster seat, bouncer, and books/toys for small children. Bedroom four has a twin bunk bed which is only for use of children ten and under. We also have some floats, board games, and puzzles for families. There is also a nice community playground and a large white sand beach within walking distance. Bring bikes to enjoy in our beautiful flat neighborhood with very little traffic.

We are triathletes ourselves and this is a multi sport paradise! You can swim from the backyard as well as access great running and biking areas. The house is close to White Lake and Elizabethtown. Grocery stores and restaurants about 15 mins away in Elizabethtown as well as beautiful Jones Lake State Park for swimming boating and hiking.

Wilmington beaches are about an hour away and Myrtle Beach is an easy day trip.

Please be aware that we charge extra $50 per night for more than six guests a night due to additional cleaning and laundering.

The home was perfect for our needs. We had a group of 10 adults. It fit us comfortably and we had plenty to do. Awesome neighborhood. The water in the lake is really funky. Looks like sweet tea, but doesn’t smell bad.

I can't say enough good things about this property and host. The pictures do not do this home justice. It is truly a beautiful spacious home with all the comfort of a well loved family lake house. The beds were comfortable and there was more than enough space to gather together or to split off to claim some quiet time for yourself. The neighborhood was peaceful and felt very safe - great for walking and riding bikes. We loved looking at all the different designs of homes in the community. The water was shallow and the kids enjoyed playing in the sand along the edge as well as swimming, kayaking, and paddle boating (all available on the property - including a few life jackets). The water is tea-colored due to tannins and the bottom of the lake feels a little mucky - so water shoes are recommended, but it did not take away from our enjoyment. Kelly was so kind and very quick to respond to all of my communication. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but just know that if you book this place you won't be disappointed!!

We loved it!

I booked for a friends birthday to have some time of relaxation which we definitely got here! Very clean, the dock is great to fish or relax on. Neighbors are very nice. If you want to grill out like we did they have a great grill. Enjoyed the kayaking & the water is very shallow which is great for young kids! Definitely recommend. 😊

Beautiful lakehouse

This property is so beautiful and accommodating. Me, my teenage kids and a friend stayed here and all loved it. My family came to visit and everyone was asking how I found it. The host was very helpful and sweet. I will definitely be back!

Very Beautiful summer Lake Getaway

The place is so clean ,lots of space! The pictures in the website is a little bit not really giving me a real picture of the place coz that place in very amazing and so so beautiful.Looking to be there next summer as matter of fact I’ll book it in the spring time to make sure I’ll be able to be there on summer with my family. Great time

Massive house in a quiet neighborhood. We have a small row boat we were able to put in right from the yard and was able to take kid out on. The lake is shallow like 4 feet in the middle when we went. Kids were able to swim right in the yard. We also took them to the beach close by at the other lake. Sunsets were spectacular. Hope to come again.

Peace and quiet

This house is large and lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. The view is so relaxing and the neighborhood is very quiet. Communication with the owner was great. Kelly was quick to answer any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.

Great quiet get away

The property is just as listed on VRBO. Very quiet and beautiful community, lots of amenities at the house to utilize which was very nice. The only complaint that we had was the beds could use an upgrade. But, even that didn’t dampen our enjoyment. All in all excellent property and wouldn’t mind another stay.

Nice getaway

What an absolutely beautiful home and view! It was just the relaxation our family needed. There were so many “kid necessities” available at the house (pack n play, nightlights, toys, rubber bowls/plates, etc) which helps cut down how much people with little ones have to pack- VERY helpful! The house had cubby areas too which gives little ones a fun place to play- so even if a rainy day came along, there is plenty to do IN the house. The sandy beach and yard provided ample play space. Wish the water was a little deeper for fishing- but the nearby pier was fun. Unfortunately the water level was so low that the lake water was a bit brown, but we made the best of it. The big lake (with a big sandy beach) was only a 5-minute drive away and was quite nice- quiet, and not crowded at all. Playground across street. :) The owners texted such great suggestions for things to do and places to eat that were appropriate for kids and adults. Owner responded quickly and was very helpful any and every time we asked about anything. We would definitely come back!

Great Place!

We had a wonderful time at this property. The listing pictures are accurate. The house was clean and stocked with everything we could need. We greatly appreciated the extra towels and blankets. The neighborhood is quiet and private. This house is toward the back of the neighborhood so there is hardly anyone around you. The private dock was so nice to sit out on and includes kayaks, a paddle boat, and floats. Beware, the water is very muddy, you’ll come out looking like you swam in coffee grounds. Lol But it’s super shallow water so it felt very safe for kids. There’s a covered area with a picnic table on the dock so if you didn’t want to be out in the hot sun, you could hang out under there. For things to do, Barefoot Brews is a must visit coffee shop about 20 minutes away in Elizabeth town and the Mexican restaurant San Jose is great. The host was very nice and responsive. Would certainly stay here again!

Great weekend at this beautiful lake house.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. Our group was in town for a nearby event and it served as a great home base for us for the weekend. We only wished we had more time to enjoy relaxing at the house and enjoying the lake. If we return for the same event next year we would definitely come back to this house again. Owner/host was great about staying in touch and answering questions. Thanks!
