NEW! Bluewater Cottage at White Lake! Pet-Friendly: Quick walk to the Lake
Have fun with the whole family at this stylish Lake Cottage! We have a lovely modern home at White Lake that accommodates 8 guests comfortably. Our home sits on a private street just a few houses down from the lake. We share 2 private/community piers and a small beach which is great for sunbathing, swimming and playing!
The space Our Cottage is very spacious ! The den is surrounded with large wrap around windows and provides plenty of light. The Master Bedroom and bath are located on the main floor and there are two more bedrooms on the top level of our 3 story home. We have a very comfortable screened in porch and a lovely wrap around open porch with comfortable loungers for sunbathing.
Guest access Bluewater Cottage has a carport that accomodates 3-4 cars. Our home is a very short walk (about 5 houses ) down the street to the beautiful White Lake where we have not 1 but 2 private/community piers for your enjoyment!
We enjoyed our stay very much. I and my kids grew up coming to White Lake all summer long but our family house was sold a few years ago. I wanted my kids to show their kids the fun they had growing up there. Everyone had a wonderful time! The kids had a blast!
Was there to attend family functions. Location to our events was just what we wanted. The plus was the view of the beautiful lake. Would definitely return there in the future. Host were great in communication. House was beautiful.
Great place to stay while visiting White Lake. The house was very clean and the host, Heather, is so sweet. We had a great stay and really enjoyed sitting on the screened-in porch!
My wife and I are very happy with our stay at Bluewater Cottage in White Lake,NC. It was a combination of our wedding anniversary and Valentine's Day getaway,. Mr. and Mrs. Knight are awesome hosts.I strongly recommend it.
We enjoyed our stay at Bluewater Cottage. It was an and relaxing place.
The cottage was beautiful and the hosts supplied everything we needed for our time there.
The lake had two piers that were nice with water and boat access.
The property was nice and met the needs of my family. There was plenty of room for everyone. The owners were great on communication and helped me figure out the process (first time vrbo user).
We really enjoyed staying here. Very quiet, short walk to the lake, and very comfortable.
The only issues we had were, bedroom carpets need cleaning, a lot of steps, and no TVâs in the bedrooms and TV in living room is too small.
However, we did enjoy our stay and if we are ever back in that area, we would stay there again.
There are always two things you can never tell about a property until you get there. And that is: how comfortable the beds are, and is the property properly temperature controlled. Iâm happy to report that this place has both a comfortable king master bed, and cool comfortable atmosphere; even in a triple-digit heat wave! We cooked (or grilled) dinner at the house every night and had no problems with needing equipment or utensils. The house is a very acceptable distance from the lake and there is a nice covered area with chairs and a swing. We actually broke down on our way home just outside of town and the owners very graciously offered to let us stay at the property while we waited for our tow. If we ever come back to White Lake we would definitely try to stay here again.
The VRBO website and owners were not in sync. The house itself was nice. The upstairs bedroom had a broken overhead fan with poor air flow. Make sure you bring laundry detergent, shampoo/conditioners, coffee and basic necessities, for they were not offered. There is only one (Roku) television in the entire house. Having a separate master bedroom on a different floor was nice. Best thing--screened in porch (overlooked parking lot). The grill was unusable and broken glass was outside under one set of the stairs. Access to two piers was lovely, however the house is located on the more "murky" side of the lake. There was no white sand or clear water within walking distance. We actually left earlier than our booked departure date. I would recommend this area for families that have children under 10 years of age. There are not a lot of things to do in the area. Prices were VERY reasonable, locally. The neighborhood was extremely quiet, the private drive was quaint and you could drive to places around, within 10 minutes. Goldston's Beach was the only good place we found for entertainment (arcade, Mexican restaurant, Dairy Queen, Original Orange Putt Putt). There was a water park, splash pad and rental places near by. The only shopping we did was at a local "Mermaid" store that was going out of business. We tried the Burney's Sweets which was worth the visit. Everything in the area closes by 5pm (lake access) or by 10pm (restaurants). There is a Food Lion & WalMart nearby.
Our host. And hostess went beyond average to accommodate us.From fresh flowers coffee of our choice muffins and waters in fridge. Very thoughtful the best I have had and we travel alot
Our family vacationed at White Lake every year when our children were growing up. They learned to swim at White Lake. It was great to be back after 40 years. The house was as beautiful and well maintained as pictured & described on VRBO. Owner was easy to communicate with and responded to our needs. Would definitely recommend others to stay here.
Wonderful place to stay for vacation. My family loved the home and access to the lake. Robert and Heather were very responsive and were a pleasure to speak with. We will definitely be back!
