Kevin was a great host. Very accommodating and a prompt communicator. My family would definitely stay again. Close to very good scalloping and fishing.
It was exactly as it was described a slice of paradise with a canal in the backyard that leads to the Gulf of Mexico. We had kayaks and paddle boards. There was enough lifejackets and paddles for everyone to enjoy. The owner. Provided us with local knowledge and inside tips to make sure that our vacation was over the top! Thank you
We had an excellent time! First off pulling up to the house you can see that it's well maintained and the yard look great. When you walk into the house it smelled good I'm big on smells, and you can see that it was very clean. The kitchen is very very well stocked actually first home we've stayed at that is this well stocked. I like that there was a split plan and the master was on one side and the bedrooms on the other. Also you have the living room and the family room which was nice for the adults. I loved the patio. We did have an issue with one of The kayaks fortunately it was low tide but Kevin you need a new kayak but it was worth going out because of the beautiful dolphin swimming by us. My granddaughter loved the paddle board, she's going to get one for Christmas. It was very handy having the boat ramp but it is very very slippery at the end. Another great aspect was there's a boat rental right down the canal and we thought was very inexpensive, so we had a beautiful day on the Gulf. The grandkids had an excellent time exploring and to have so many different types of water around you was really cool. Oh my and kayaking to the water hole wow! Just know that this is Florida and there are gators! Kevin was quick to respond to all our questions. So if you have a large group this home would be very comfortable for you. Thanks again for the use of your home!
() Lovely location, so fun! Perfect for a small group or two couples. Quiet neighborhood with a fun waterway in the back. The use of the kayaks was great!! (-) very limited toilet paper, was unable to get a working remote for one of the tvs, no pillows, sheet sets(only two fitted sheets, one thin bedspread and an old hand-me-down blanket)for the couch and futon. The futon should not be included in the number of beds because it is really hard. Also...there are some roaches but you are on water. Overall, the positives outweighed the negatives and we made beautiful memories.
We had an amazing time making great memories. Canal slightly murky but that didnât not stop any of the six kids from getting in and enjoying! We rented to John boats and went to the springs and made it an all day affair other than that we never left the house except for groceries. Thank you!
We have stayed at a lot of vacation rentals and Kevin is by far the best host we have ever had! The home has everything you need. The home has lots of space. The canal in the back is nice. We saw lots of fish. Its a very quiet and nice neighborhood.
The canal front property is great! It's conveniently located to the river and state park. We were able to launch the kayaks from the property's own boat ramp. We had everything we needed for a fun family getaway.
Owner has a very fast response; we do jets ski use the home ramp and from there we easily get to Weekee Wachee river that my family and I have too much relaxing time. if you need to relax this is your place 100% recommended.
Very down home, old Florida neighborhood. Loved the boat ramp; made the water easily accessible, although it is VERY slippery down by the water. Quiet neighborhood, just a short kayak trip up the creek (or walk) to a local swimming hole. Cozy house, just needs a few updates. We had a very nice stay with the family. Spent most of our time on the water and enjoying the outdoor back yard and dock area.
My family had a such a great time! Loved the house, didnât want to leave. Loved being on the water. The area was great, whatever we needed was near by. Host was easy to talk to and responded fast. Will definitely be back!
Our stay was great love the place and also easy to use kayaks and or JetSki . The host always answers us when contacted and also the kids love watching the manatees in the canal. We will stay again this year
This was our first family vacation to Weeki Wachee. We were unsure about the areas that surrounded Palm Grove colony, but Iâm very excited to say that Palm Grove colony has its own little treasure. With the kayaks and paddle boards that the owner provided at our house, we were able to explore the area and find a natural spring in the neighborhood. This natural spring is close to the local swimming hole which was beautiful. We were also about a 15 to 20 minute paddle to Weeki Wachee springs. We were able to experience paddling with a mother dolphin and her baby, watching them Hunt in the mud River, and we were also able to paddle with tons of manatees. If you are looking for a more quiet approach to vacation, this is the perfect spot for you, however, if you want to be in the middle of all the action, I would recommend getting closer to Weeki Wachee springs.
Kevin was an amazing host and he was available at all times. There was a small issue at the house that I needed to contact him about and he was very fast at getting back with me and fixing the issue immediately without hindering our vacation.
What a relaxing time we had! Quiet neighborhood, 20 minute paddling from the springs and from `party town`. Kayaks and SUPs are in perfect shape! Kevin is an awesome host, responded with no hesitations to our questions.
We rented the house for my boyfriend's mom's 50th birthday and we absolutely loved it. The house was cozy and the scenery was beautiful. Everything was great!
It was truly an amazing stay! First time on the river and my kids want to go back already Beautiful location and wonderful quiet neighborhood. The neighbors were talkative and we all enjoyed a few laughs together Kevin was fantastic to speak with and we had a few problems which he instantly took care of. (Non of which was he or mine fault) His thoughtfulness of letting us know of the all of the sight seeing and places to eat was fantastic. This home was a home away from home. My family came down to stay with us the last day we were there& was memorized of the beauty there. Warm&inviting and if your looking to to a getaway with property you will not be disappointed.
Thanks for all the memories and look forward to coming in the future.
Great house, so comfortable and the house was everything we hoped it would be and more. Kayaks were a major bonus and had lots of fun. Enjoyed the brand new salt water hot tub and the beds were very comfy. Very homie and decorated so cute. Canât wait to come back again. 5 Stars
Kevin was a good host and when we had issues, he called us right away. GPS could not seem to find his place. I sent him a message and he promptly called us.
This was a trip with grandparents, parents and 3 kids ages 4, 7 and 9. When we first got to the house, they found manatees passing thru and a couple of dolphins. The 7 year old and his dad spent most of their time fishing. The kayaks were a hit for all of us and we used them more than once.
All 3 kids slept in one bedroom and the adults took the other 2. There was more than enough room in the kids bedroom.
The only negative was there was only 1 roll of toilet paper under the sinks and just a small amount of paper towels. I would have thought that was provided. But I admit, I didn't bother to ask and just went a bought some.
If you are looking for a quieter place to stay off the beaten path, then this place is for you. If you are looking for something of a more party atmosphere, then look elsewhere. We were even able to meet some of the locals which was very nice.
This was exactly what we were looking for. We were able to see a few of the sights but still relax and keep the kids occupied.
Thank you Kevin!
Murky canal, and buggy/unmanaged back yard, dated interior with sloping floors
The property is on the drab side (e.g., old tile in main house bathroom; wall to wall dirty carpet). A few improvements could help: have someone blow the pollen off the back yard, change the bedding to white sheets, and have cold-not hot- water come out of the fridge dispenser). It was unpleasant to be outside and the pollen made a mess tracking it back in the house. The "new hot tub" is a blow up one that was dirty on arrival-likely from previous guests and pollen noted above. Not worth getting into, so disappointed we booked for this amenity. When we tried to clean it via the self cleaning feature, we then got an error and abandoned even using it.
The canal is murky, and it was a haul to the Weeki Wache river. Doable, but not easy with little ones so we ended up driving to Rogers. There are rentals in this neighborhood that back up to a swimable canal/spring-fed river that we will look for next time.
Was ok for the price and ok neighborhood.
Retired nature lover. First time to visit Weeki Wachee hooked me. I immediately bought a home , and now have three. All my vacation homes cater to completely different lifestyle needs. One home is in the quiet area with access to Mud River by Mary's Fish Camp. Has a boat ramp and very fast access to fishing and scalloping in the gulf. Another home has access to Weeki Wachee with a heated, salt water pool that is screened in. And the third is a super modern living home with beautiful king master suite and two levels that look over the canal with quick access to the Weeki Wachee river.
Much easier access to gulf for fishing and scalloping than homes directly on the Weeki Wachee River. Idle zone is only past the homes then safe speed can be utilized all the way to gulf.
Very nice dock for your boat. Ramp is perfect for smaller craft, but recommend high tide for launch. Super close to Bayport ramp as well as Pine Island Beach. Exceptionally quiet area that is very wooded and mature. A real ground level home for easy accessibility.
