For the benefit of future guests, I would like to clarify a few of the statements in your review. The digital house guide, including instructions for the home and your door code, is automatically sent prior to check-in. The lawn is professionally maintained every two weeks. During your stay, and still as I write this, our area is under statewide drought emergency restrictions that significantly limit lawn watering. Because of these restrictions, mowing have to be carefully managed to avoid damaging the lawn. The property was serviced on June 27, shortly after your departure. The pond was intentionally drained after the fish were removed because it had become too difficult to maintain. It was not an abandoned or neglected feature. New cushions had already been ordered for the two lounge chairs prior to your stay. One day into your stay, you requested manual control of the thermostat. I immediately disabled the preset schedule, giving you full control of the air conditioning for the remainder of your stay. Throughout your stay, I checked in with you multiple times via text to make sure you had everything you needed. Each time, you assured me that you were happy, even commenting that we had a "beautiful home" and that you were "enjoying your stay." Had you shared any of the other concerns during your visit, I would have done everything I could to address them. Unfortunately, the refrigerator compressor failed unexpectedly on the evening of June 24. A repair technician was at the home first thing on the morning of your checkout, June 25, to address the issue. While appliance failures are beyond anyone's control, I immediately offered to reimburse you for the groceries you reported losing. Although you estimated your loss at approximately $30, I sent you $40 as a goodwill gesture. After I assured you the reimbursement had been submitted, you advised that you would report me to VRBO if the refund was not received immediately. The reimbursement was completed within 24 hours of your checkout. I was never upset about providing the reimbursement—in fact, I was the one who offered it. Finally, I'd also like to clarify that the home is not for sale and has not been "let go." We take great pride in maintaining our property and in responding promptly whenever an unexpected issue arises. We appreciate all guest feedback and remain committed to providing a comfortable experience for future visitors.

The cameras were installed due tot he fact that we live out of town. The indoor cameras have been permanently disabled with no way at all for me to enable them remotely. (I sent a photo to the guest to assure him of this). The outdoor cameras are for security purposes. I explained to the guest that he was free to cover the pool cameras during his stay. I am disappointed that you decided to leave these comments as a review.

To describe the home as being in “a state of disrepair” is simply not accurate. Lightbulbs burn out and batteries die — that’s part of normal home maintenance — and both items were addressed immediately once you informed us. Our house manager arrived right away, fixed the door handle, and replaced the smoke alarm battery on the spot. Regarding the chipped dishes, thank you for bringing that to our attention. They have since been removed and replaced. The landscaper has also been notified about the weeds. We take pride in maintaining our home and responding promptly to guests’ needs, so it’s disappointing to receive comments that don’t reflect the reality of how quickly everything was resolved.

We’re so glad you enjoyed the space, especially the lanai and the pool at night. Those are some of our favorite features as well. We completely understand your disappointment regarding the hot tub expectations and the functionality of the jetted tub. We’re sorry for any confusion there and will be updating our listing to better clarify these features so future guests know exactly what to expect. We also apologize for the delay in our response to your message during your stay. That is not the level of communication we aim to provide, and we are addressing this internally to ensure quicker, more consistent responses moving forward. Regarding the guest manual, we do have one that explains how everything works throughout the home. It appears it may have been misplaced by a previous guest, and unfortunately we were not aware it was missing during your stay. We are putting measures in place to ensure it is always available, along with exploring a digital version for easy access. In terms of amenities, we typically do not provide coffee, but that is a great suggestion and something we will take into consideration moving forward. Beach chairs are also a great idea, and we will be looking into adding those as well to enhance the overall guest experience. Your suggestions are extremely helpful. We agree that clear guidance and well communicated amenities make a big difference, especially for guests expecting a more elevated experience. We are actively reviewing these areas so we can improve. Thank you again for your honest review. It helps us improve. Hi There.. Thank You for the review. We really enjoyed hosting you. To answer your concern about the heater i just wanted to point out that we never listed a Pool Heater as an amenity nor a hot tub. What we mentioned was that there is a jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom. But never mentioned a pool heater. I am sorry for the confusion. Hope you had a great stay with us.
