This is a GLAMPING CABIN , Please Read listing all the way thru.!!
One Mile from Crystal Mountain Family Resort and a half mile from Kayak Launch Site and a Bike Trail that go all the way to Frankfort Via Beulah along the Crystal Lake and the Betsie River.
PLEASE REVIEW PHOTOS. it is insulated and has Electric for HEAT
and Coffee , Micowave and apt. refrig. it has a regular queen Bed It also has a outdoor screen tent with 2 chairs so you can be out doors with out the bugs. and a small front porch see photos. You will have access to a shared 18 ft. Circle Fire Pit, or a privet Fire pit Weber Grill and picnic table with umbella ,
2 frisbee cages and a corn hole game to practice your throws
There is water and extra electric for a set up for outdoor cooking
It has a portable Toilet that is out side.
a Bath and shower is available in the Main House when the owner is home

My stay was perfect from phone conversations before & after booking all the way to check-out.I even added a tour of the area for an additional charge. With Alfred’s knowledge of the area, I was able to see so much in just a few short days. Excellent!

This Lady was a very pleasant Guest, and it was a joy to show her the great sites here in NW Michigan ( Pierce Stocking Dr, The Point Betsie Light House, Misty Acre and Old Facefull.) and a great Breakfast Acadia dunes Golf Course. She will be welcomed back anytime

Weekend trip

Was so happy to stay with Mr Lake. The cabin was just what we needed and the community feel of the campground was so welcoming. Great advice on things to see in the local area. We loved hanging around the fire pit. Will definitely stay there again!

Great host and location!

Alfred was a great host and tended to all of our needs. We enjoyed the quaint cottage and the proximity to so many places we wanted to visit. We plan to go back! Thanks Alfred!

Home away from home

We had such a great experience! Loved the place,comfy,cozy and clean, close to everything we needed. Alfred(the host) was amazing! Very friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend this place and definitely would love to come back. Everything was perfect!

Personable, attentive and kind, Alfred eagerly introduced us to local spots we would not have found ourselves, while ensuring that we were accommodated in every sense of the word. Cute and comfy cabin

This cabin was so adorable and comfy! Alfred the host was so accommodating and has a wonderful property! We enjoyed the fire pit and grill and sitting out in the many offered chairs and enjoying the huge lawn the cabin is on. The a/c in the cabin was wonderful and the location was nice, Alfred even drew us a map of the area and gave us suggestions on where to explore and kayak as first timers at sleeping bear dunes. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it here!

Amazing!!!

I couldn’t recommend this place more. Alfred was amazing, he greeted us right when we got there and he even upgraded us to the nicer cabin since there was a cancellation. Everything was perfectly clean, there was plenty of wood for the fire pit and the property was beautiful. Alfred told us his goal is to treat everyone who stays there like family and it definitely shows.

Great place to stay!

My daughter and I were looking for a quiet place that wasn’t too expensive to stay at night and travel around during the day. This was the perfect spot for us! Alfred is kind and accommodating and a gracious host. He upgraded us for free because there was a cabin with bathroom available. We weren’t there during the day so this was perfect for us! Al was knowledgeable and gave us any information we needed about where to eat and visit! We would definitely choose this location (any of the available rentals) again!

Our host, Alfred, was very magnanimous. Because the Travelocity listing was incorrect about the accommodations, he upgraded us to his nicer cabin. I can't find this cabin on the Travelocity website. Alfred was very generous and helpful throughout our stay. And he makes delicious chocolate chip cookies which he shared with us. A wonderful experience all around.

The property owner is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met in my life and the property is gorgeous! We were met by Al after our 6 hour drive to get there drive turned into a 9 hour drive. He immediately notified us of a cancellation he had and we were able to pay for an upgrade. The little ‘suite’ was so cozy and the ambiance was perfect! I would have had to pay double for a hotel and this place is better than any hotel I’ve ever been in.

My gf and I rented this at the spur of the moment for a quick weekend getaway and don’t regret it all! Alfred was an absolute charming host! He told us about some great tourist spots and knew all the good restaurants. He really is amazing! The community feel between the other two rental spots on the property, situated about 70-80 yards away, was a nice touch. Although we only meet one other couple for a brief moment it was nice hanging with them at the central fire pit and grill spot. The cabin was very nice although small. Well built and up to date. Besides the bed it also had a small tv, a single cup coffee maker, a small fridge, a microwave, and a ceiling fan and an AC unit! Everything we needed except for bedding (which the ad says to bring your own but I somehow missed that part x) ) and curtains. I Will definitely go back and see Grandpa Al! 3

The owner is a great guy a little overprotective but ultimately the ad is all wrong its just a bed in a room no running water let alone a water park i honestly would like Travelocity to refund my stay i dont like that you can't talk to property owners before purchasing

Our stay was very pleasant. Found the property to be very charming, clean and comfortable. The host/owner, Al was very friendly, pleasant and gracious. He treated us like family. The cabin we rented was mistakenly advertised on Expedia as having an indoor bathroom but did not. Al called me the week before to inform me of the difference and offered us a camper with bathroom shower and kitchen instead. When we got there he offered us either place depending on where we felt most comfortable. We appreciated very much that he made sure we had a shower to use as we were there to go to a wedding. But after showing us the cabin, we loved that too and paid extra for some family to use it who also came for the wedding. We shared some Mackinaw Island fudge with him and he gave us some apples and a Christmas decoration. His prices were VERY REASONABLE. We found both Al and his place to be very delightful and we will definitely book from him if we ever return to the area, as well as pass the word to friends & family. Had a great time staying and visiting with Al!! Thanks for everything!! God bless!! 😀
