Spacious, clean, and beautiful house in a good location. We had a great time. My husband enjoyed the beach cruisers. Super easy walk to the beach. Playground close by as well. Our kids had a great time as well.

Great Stay

Everything was clean and organized at the property. It was a short walk to the beach, and a ten minute drive or less to both bays. Would love to stay here again.

Always a wonderful stay at Deena and John’s! This is our third time and it feels like home! We missed last year, so it was great to be back! I think I’ve written a review every time we’ve stayed there, but again, the beach amenities are excellent… everything you need for a great day at the beach! We love the space itself which is so comfortable as well as the wonderful bedding, pillow options and cotton sheets, and the comfy beds, this house is just beautiful. It feels like a home, it’s a quick walk to many conveniences or a quick bike ride. Having bikes is awesome and having a ping-pong table is even better! We love this place and will be back!

We had a wonderful stay in Oxnard. The house and property is just as described and pictured. The Primary bedroom and bathroom are amazing! Wait until you try the shower!! The short walk to the beach and grilling on the patio were highlights of our stay. Owners quickly responded to a question we had. We will definitely be back!

This is certainly a home worth considering for those who enjoy casual and comfortable (not stiff and formal) accommodations in a well equipped and conveniently located Beach house. The website photos and description are certainly accurate. Master Bedroom and private bath are superb. The two other bedrooms are well equipped and share a hallway full bathroom This could work for up to 3 adult couples, or for a family of 6. It's truly a beach house in the sense that it is about 100 yard walk to the beach, but it is not water view. It is conveniently equipped with beach chairs, cooler, multiple bikes. 2 patios--one off the master bedroom for sunning and morning coffee, one off the kitchen for outdoor dining is truly a mancave with gas BBQ, firepit (our favorite for cocktails) and 6-8 person dining table.Hosts John and Deena are extremely responsive and want to make your stay hassle free. They made it clear that they live only 20 minutes away and could troubleshoot any problem almost immediately. As an example, the Wi-fi connection to the large TV went down 24 hours before Superbowl Sunday. John was there in less than an hour and had it fixed within minutes. We mentioned to Deena that since we were not Nespresso people (the machine that came with the home) but preferred Keurig. She traded out one machine for the other that same day.! John and Deena are supremely available, genuinely anxious to offer guidance and want your stay in this truly functional beach house to be seamless.

Wonderful and Stylish Beach Cottage

I can't recommend this lovely beach retreat enough! Deena and John have done an amazing job with the space and have clearly put a lot of thought into what makes a vacation rental comfortable and fun - they really have thought of everything! My children and I enjoyed a wonderful stay and will, no doubt, look to book this lovely property again the next time we're in the area.

Wonderful home for a getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home in a perfect location near the beach in Oxnard. The house was beautifully furnished and decorated - it showed how much care the owners put into the home. Very clean, and incredibly well equipped. Everything we could have wanted was there.

Stay in Oxnard

Our trip was visiting Malibu, as well as northern cities along the coast, seeing Hearst Castle and Reagan library- both MUST sees. The house was perfect- VERY clean, looks as pretty as it does on line, anything pretty much you would need, and the owners were very responsive and kind! Location was perfect-close to all sorts of things. If we ever go back, I would stay there in a heart beat!

Loved being so close to the beach

Absolutely loved the home decor, outdoor vibe and everything about the neighborhood. A short walk to the beach and…heaven, toes in the sand and limitless beach fun. You won’t be disappointed in renting this gem! Great hosts, comfy beds and everything you need to grill or cook at home. Loved it!

Another great stay in Oxnard!

This was our second visit to John and Dennas property, and another excellent stay! The house is in great shape, roomy and comfy, the property is wonderful, the access to the beach was perfect, their bedding and living space very comfortable, and well thought out, and fun additions like ping ping table, bicycles and fire pit make this a true gem! I had to leave early due to a death in our family and was SO sad to leave!!! Also, check out the tours to Channel Islands, Unreal stuff!!

The owners were great, communicating was easy & fast. Due to westher we couldn’t enjoy the equipment, but the property is well equipped with all the outside essentials!! The inside has all you need as well, very well done.

An Absolute Gem

This property was a new listing on VRBO with no reviews but it was in the location we were looking, and the pictures seemed nice, so we took a chance. I'm so glad we did. The pictures are excellent, but the property is so much more! Incredibly decorated, comfortable beds, sparkling clean, and the owners are very helpful and responsive. Thank you for providing accommodations that exceeded expectations.

I came with two life-long friends to attend the Skull & Roses Music Festival. Not only was this fabulous home clean, but it also came with a very well stocked kitchen and garage and that made our trip a real treat. Flying in, the three of us couldn't bring chairs, coolers, and a cart for us to wheel everything we needed into the beautiful Ventura County Fairgrounds for a day long festival. But Deena and John graciously had everything we needed in their well-appointed home. Should I ever come back to the Oxnard/Ventura area again, I wouldn't look any further and rent this home again for sure!

Perfect location and the house was clean and had practically everything we needed. Three couples shared the house and we all were very pleased with the beach gear available for use in the garage. Please know there is no air conditioning in the house so if that’s a must for you perhaps consider staying elsewhere. Be careful of the spiders in the front courtyard. We swept every morning and night but still found many spiders under the fire table seating and around the outdoor dining area. These things were manageable and are small disadvantages to what was a wonderful stay.

Absolutely Wonderful!

This rental far exceeded expectations! We wanted to explore Oxnard, get some Sun, and most importantly, get serious beach time! This vacation rental was fantastic! Great digs: comfy beds with high quality cotton sheets and excellent bedding, two choices of outdoor space, lots of light, comfy living room and a well stocked kitchen. The master bath has wonderful shower, and other bedrooms/bath great as well! The neighborhood is very quiet, the house well situated, outdoor dining and lounging areas perfect, and location close to the beach is excellent! They provided a little trolley to take all the great beach toys (provided)down to the ocean, making it easy. Owner was very accessible and responsive. We will be back, and highly recommend this house. Oh, and a ping pong table in garage, yay! I know there is more, but I don’t want to ruin all the great surprises!

Wonderful beach house

This home is so lovely! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness and the comfortable and welcoming extras that our hosts provided. Beautiful kitchen and bed/bathrooms, comfy beds and just a short 3 block walk to the beach. A bonus was friendly people all over the neighborhood when we took walks. We loved watching the sunset from the beach at night. We hope to be back!

Just as promised

What a fabulous place to get together with family members who have not been able to see each other for over 3 years! Check-in was seamless with ample parking. There was everything you need for a day at he beach which is 2 blocks away. The outdoor living spaces (two separate areas) were so comfortable and amenable to just kicking back and visiting! The kitchen had enough equipment to be able to eat in when we desired. Spent one day over at the Channel Islands, an easy 10 minute drive to the ferry port. Spectacular with hundreds of dolphins following along the boat! Exactly what we were looking for! The hosts were very responsive.

Beautiful home base!

Two girlfriends and myself absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful space! The host has it well stocked with everything your heart could desire! We enjoyed walks on the beach and the cruiser bikes available to us in the garage were great for a ride down to farmers market! We spent our days in Ventura and Ojai! We can’t recommend this space enough.
