The historic Harding Residence is an original home in Virginia City with stunning views off the front porch. Completely refurbished this home is located 1 1/2 blocks from the historic district. This 3 bedroom home sleep 5 with a 3/4 bath, fully furnished kitchen and a relaxing living room. Beautiful views, very quiet location, this is a very unique property.
**The stairs to the second level can be hard to navigate. Not suggested for those who may have mobility issues.
Amazing location, host friendly/prompt in replies and a beautifully decorated historic home. So glad we stayed over in Virginia City - Virginia Players not to be missed, Wells Fargo and Cowboy BBQ (Triple M Carriages) awesome dinner options. Star Bakery serves amazing breakfast. Good to understand house layout prior to booking - 1 bedroom and only bathroom downstairs and other 2 bedrooms upstairs. As noted by others the stairs are very narrow, steep and uneven on certain stairs. Hold onto rail at all times. It would be great if there were fans in all bedrooms as AC loud at night.
The house was as pictured except the stairs. We are all over 65 and might have tried a different booking had those been shown in the photos. Everything else was great.
The opportunity to stay in a historic home that has been beautifully restored was amazing. The home is clean and has everything you need. This home is on the ghost tour which was fun for us. The stairs to the two rooms upstairs are steep and narrow, but that was expected in an 1800's home. Our only issue was that the outside door handle was a little loose. This is a beautifully restored home, only a block from all the downtown fun and I highly recommend it!
Someone did a beautiful job of decorating this adorable little home. Four adults were very comfortable here. It was so nice to be able to walk through the town of Virginia City and up into the hills early every morning before the crowds.
Our stay in VC was great! Kaytlin was very responsive to anything we needed. The house was clean, well restored, and the location perfect for sunsets on the porch. Weâll be back!
What a great little gem in the gem capital of Montana! This historic house was just perfect. While there were just two of us, it does sleep 5. It stayed cool all day as well so no need for the air conditioners. Which in the West are rare! Yes, the stairway up to the top floor is narrow, but for anyone without a serious disability should be no issue. We stayed on the first floor mainly to stay cooler but that didnât become an issue anyway. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. Close to downtown and food and entertainment. Just lovely!

Well decorated, clean. It is a VERY OLD house, so keep in mind when making your decision, no insulation and voids and cracks in some areas. Upstairs was inaccessible to us: stairs VERY narrow, stair height too high, handrail only on one side. One of us slept on the couch. One in the bedroom off the living room; bed uncomfortable.
Bathroom: shower is 2x2 feet max. Toilet is NOT comfort height, very low. No hooks or shelving in the bathroom, so we used the kitchen sink for our bath supplies.
Very nice gas wood stove in front room. Front area stairs do not go to the street, although pictures make it seem that they do.
Somewhat noisy late afternoon, early evening, as you can hear street sounds, people, etc., even in its more remote location.
Very cute and clean house. Great location and lots of history in this home. Some even say itâs haunted. ;) Enjoyed our stay very much. The only issue is with the bed downstairs. Very squeaky and small but we survived it. :)
We loved staying at this historic house. It being within walking distance of everything was perfect. The stairs are original so if there is someone with mobility issues itâs nice that there is a bedroom on the main floor. Great spot!
