Sunrise Forest is a peaceful retreat for family vacations, romantic getaways, special occasions or simply a place to chill. Guests have access to the entire house, 1,400 sq. ft., 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and loft with 2 twin beds. The great room is the place to relax & recharge with a wood burning fireplace and a 55” curve smart tv. It is the ideal spot for nature lovers with 35 acres of abundant wildlife, walking trails and is pet friendly. Outdoor fire pit with 9 Adirondack chairs, swing set for the kids & 6-person hot tub overlooking a scenic ravine. The property is adjacent to Wayne National Forest with immediate access to explore 275 acres. The Wi-Fi service was upgraded on1/1/22, average speeds of 25 Mbps to 40 Mbps, the improved Wi-Fi service provides the ability to stream HD videos or conduct a video call. An exterior Wi-Fi extender has been installed to provide Wi-Fi service outside of the cabin.
Although this property is remote, it is located off a main state route and is approximately a 15 to 30 minute drive to 7 of Hocking Hills "Premier" state parks. The quaint town of Logan is 10 miles from the cabin which has many seasonal attractions and dining options or the historic college town of Ohio University in Athens is only 17 miles from the cabin. The classic Appalachian town of Nelsonville, with endless discoveries, is only 8 miles away.

Wonderful Time-Will Book Again

My sisters and I loved this house. It was so cozy and comfortable. It offered more than we needed but was so peaceful. I really liked that it was far away from the road so you had quiet. We enjoyed the hot tub and visiting in the cozy living room. The generous supply of wood on hand was so nice, as we enjoyed a fire most of the time we were there. I will definitely book this place again for my family.

Beautiful cabin, clean, full of amenities just as if we were in our own homes. Comfy and cozy. Did not need or want for anything. Really enjoyed our downtime here. Most of us are in healthcare and this was a great place to get away and decompress!

Weekend Getaway

This place was perfect! My friends and I take an annual trip and this had all we needed. We made snacks, played games, hung out in the hot tub, by the campfire and more. Visited the Hocking Hills Winery and took a walk through nearby Ash Cave. Great communication with the host. A wonderful weekend!

We fell in love with the home and property. Everything was wonderful, intentional, and thoughtful. We loved the land and views they were just gorgeous! The beds were comfy We have been coming to Hocking for a long time and this is our fave place we have stayed. Will be back!!

The cabin was excellent. There was nothing more you could ask for except better weather. It rained everyday we were there but the cabin had everything anyone could want to make the stay great. It was clean and beautiful. We will definitely come back again.

Beautiful property. Clean and cozy.

The property was very secluded and private. One of the cleanest properties we have stayed in. Plenty of space for our family. Kitchen well stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed the outdoor firepit, it was setup nice with all the seating you need. Hosts are very responsive If we return to the area we would not hesitate to book here again

We love this house we stayed in. We stayed two nights. It was very clean and we had no issues. This was a girls weekend. We enjoyed the caves, lake, shops, restaurants and beautiful scenic drives.

Three Days of Bliss!

Sunrise Forest is a beautiful, immaculate, spacious rental!! It is such a well-cared for home on a gorgeous piece of property. We loved the privacy, the peacefulness of the woods, and all of the detailed, personal touches that made our stay extra special. Excellent Private Getaway

Our stay was one of the best rental experiences we’ve had. The house was exceptionally clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. The hot tub was also super clean. The outdoor space was charming and well equipped with several chairs, a few hammocks, and a fire pit and was very cozy at night with all the accent lighting. The location is very private, secluded, and quiet. It was a pleasant 25 minute drive to the Hocking Hills area. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would stay again in a heartbeat the next time we’re in the area. Highly recommended!

Great family weekend

We loved everything about the cabin plenty of room, very nice kitchen and plenty of room for everyone to relax. The fire-pit area was great and the kids enjoyed the hot tub. The cabin was very clean and the showers were great. We will try to stay there the next time we come to Hocking Hills!!!

A lovely get-away!

As a family, we most enjoyed the family room with plenty of comfortable, attractive furniture for nine people (2 were daily visitors who live in the area). The family room includes the kitchen and dining area so everyone could participate in conversations. The many windows in the cathedral-ceiling family room brought beautiful light and added to the ambiance of the house. The lighting around the fire ring made the space look magical at night. Thank you for all the little touches. We are likely to come back again!

Blissful Tranquillity

Each and every member of our party found Sunrise Forest exceeded their expectations. We came with the objection to celebrate our 10 year old grandson’s birthday and we all found so much more than we had hoped for. The grounds of the property was park like setting, kids enjoyed swinging and the play area, family enjoyed the campfire setting with hammocks. We had a corn hole tournament in another out door space. The outdoor lighting was charming even with viewing from indoors. The indoors felt like an extension of the outdoors because of the expansive window setting that allowed the views of the hilltop clearing. We also got to see the elusive yellow blue skink among the wildlife. We all agreed that we need to return to this beautiful haven in the hill country.

Having been a lifelong resident of Columbus, Ohio I have always enjoyed getting away from the ‘big city life’ to enjoy one of the most scenic parts of Ohio. This cabin is located approximately 1 hour southeast of Columbus, Ohio. Sunrise Forest sits on 35 acres in Hocking County. Our family owns adjacent properties which allows us to enjoy family, friends and the great outdoors. The property line at Sunrise Forest is adjacent to Wayne National Forest which provides additional tranquility and privacy.
