The property was the perfect place for a family of 5 to stay while here for a family wedding. The owners were great at communicating and the property was in stellar condition.

Great Location

We loved the home, yard and lake! The location is close to the city but you feel like you’re in Northern Minnesota. The owners were easy to reach and very nice. We will definitely stay here again!

Outstanding Cabin

This cabin has everything we were hoping for and more. It combines all of the things you would want in a stay at the lake, inside and out: lakefront access for swimming, a yard for our grandkids to play in, and beautiful views of the lake from the big windows. The cabin is spacious, with enough room for a family. The owners have thoughtfully provided necessities in the kitchen and throughout. It was a wonderful stay!

Laidback Loon was absolutely amazing and every detail was thought of. Would give more than 10/10 if I could. The location was so ideal, not too far from town but felt like away from it all. Decor is so welcoming and lake front is beautiful. Would love to stay again. Thank you!

Great time at the Laid Back Loon

We stayed at the Laid Back Loon for a family vacation and had a great time. My boys loved tubing on the lake and the fishing off of the dock kept us busy for hours. We are looking forward to staying here in the future. The home was great, very clean, comfortable beds, and enough bathrooms and showers for all 5 of us. The home is also close to grocery stores, so you can take a 15 minute drive and stock up for your stay.

Perfect place to decompress

This was our first vacation in years and was exactly what we were looking for! The house was clean, quiet and not far from all the thing on our list. Wished we’d of stayed longer! We saw loons and even had an eagle land in the backyard to enjoy a fish. Totally recommend this place and would absolutely stay again if we were in the area.

Room with a view

My family used this beautiful property as a hub for my daughters wedding that was in the area. Their is a beautiful view of the Lake from two of the bedrooms, the master bathroom as well as the living area. Was very very nice! The property was clean, well stocked and welcoming. During our down time, the kids took out some of the water toys and enjoyed a nice kayak paddle around the shoreline and paddle boat ride. Our family from Alaska was thrilled the water was shallow and warm so the kids could play. I can only imagine how beautiful the views will be in the fall. Would love to stay again!

Clean and Comfortable

Lake house was perfect size for 4 adults and 2 toddlers. New. Clean. Comfortable. All the amenities. Fully stocked. The 3 bedrooms attach to separate bathrooms. Access to pier, kayak, paddleboat, paddleboard, fire pit, grill, patio furniture all on property. Friendly owners - nice decorating touch. Playground across street. Fully enjoyed our stay!

Weekend Family Stay

Laidback Loon was a perfect place for our family get-together. (We heard and saw loons, so the house is appropriately named.) It was so relaxing having a well-designed, new, and very clean house with plenty of bathrooms and space for five adults and a child. Although it rained a bit when we were there, we could still enjoy the lake view through the wide back door and windows. The lake is shallow but was good for our grandson. (A bonus for our grandson was the small park right across the road.) The patio with table and grill and the firepit area were both good backyard hangout spots. Thank you, Chuck and Darcy, it was good!

We had a great day at this property. I love that the rooms all have Roku connected TVs. It was nice that the lake was shallow by the dock for the kids. Place was extremely clean and comfortable. We would stay here again.

Super Relaxing

We stayed for just a few nights but wish it could have been longer. Everything was very clean, plenty of kitchen gadgets and bathroom towel situation was perfect. From the pictures I thought the house was situated further away from lake but it was closer, so a happy surprise.

Sweet Lake Views

Immaculately clean, thoughtfully decorated, with comfy beds, well-equipped kitchen, located in a quiet spot, yet with easy access to the metro area. One note: grandma and grandpa could not navigate the 10 or so steps down to the patio and lake (no handrail). Our hosts were very timely with communications and information. A great stay!

Beautiful home!

This is a beautiful home with a beautiful view. This would be a perfect young family vacation home! Nice shallow shore for kids (do not bring a deep boat, pontoon and shallow boat ok). The house was obviously remodeled or even maybe rebuilt because it was perfection.

Above and Beyond!

The Laid-Back Loon was an impeccable home! Beautiful location right on the lake! The hosts were wonderful and very attentive to any needs we may have had. They also showed a great interest in making sure our time spent there was relaxing and up to our expectations. Our family (including 7 grandchildren ages 5-17) absolutely loved this home and all the amenities it had to offer. We were so fortunate to have selected this property for our 19-day stay. Perfect family getaway

We had a wonderful time at the Laidback Loon. The home had everything we needed. The shallow lake was ideal for our grandsons (ages 1-1/2 and 3-1/2) and they loved running around on the back lawn area. Thank you for a great visit!
