My goal here was to provide a great location and create a space that heightens every one of your creative senses when you stay. In this I strived for "New York BoHo high rise on the water. " I have used local artists for a creative cozy retreat. There is 1 large screen tv in the main area and 1 tv in the bedroom and 1 tv in lower level. We sleep 4 comfortably with 2 bedrooms but can sleep 6 if needed with sofa bed. I would suggest only children after 4 adults. It is way too tight for 6 adults. The main floor bedroom is the master and it is on the upper level with en suite bathroom. The 2nd bedroom is on the lower level and shares space with the game area and slider to the deck. It has a room divider and the lower level can lock for privacy. Hot tub on the water, fire pit, grill, kayaks, paddle boatâŠall you need for a great getaway. The hot tub is treated at every stay. The kitchen is fully supplied for all your cooking needs. Access to the water, 5 min from great restaurants and boutique shopping in Peoria Heights. Pet friendly for 1 small dog. Pets MUST be crated when at the house alone. It is fenced but no grass so they must be walked for relief. Not allowed on furniture. Only registered guests allowed on property. No parties. Quiet time 10pm to 8am. No tampering with security equipment . No smoking, vaping. (any kind). Parking for 2 cars only. One to the side in the slip and one directly in front. Your request to book must include a message with information, especially if you have no reviews. Full names and addresses.Where are you coming from? Who will be staying? Have you used VRBO before? Etc. if there is no message, I will not accept.
Our host exceeded our expectations at every opportunity. Pillows, snacks and eclectic decoration... everything was wonderful. We didn't bring our family pet, but there were special touches that would have made a pet's stay just as satisfying. The hot tub was clean and had a wonderful view of the river from a raised fully finished deck. We would have stayed longer, and would definitely try to reserve this property again if we come back through Peoria. Thank you!
This location is even better in person! We were looking for a relaxing stay while visiting my family and couldnt have chosen better. The entire house felt beautifully curiated and comfortable plus it was so much fun! We got to watch firework shows going across the entire river and enjoyed fishing and playing ping pong to pass the time. Cant wait to stay again!
Great place to relax after a long day of volleyball games. Kids loved recovering in the hot tub and adults loved the view of the river, the creative and artistic decor, and super comfy beds. This would be a great place to visit in the warmer months as well. We also enjoyed dinner at a nearby restaurant called Thyme Kitchen and Craft Beer.
We enjoyed our stay at this property while we visited our son at Bradley University. The host is very responsive and helpful. The view is very nice and we wished it had been warmer so we could enjoy the deck and patio! There are nice touches like snacks and coffee pods available as well as shampoo/conditioner/shower gel. We enjoyed looking at the artwork.Things to consider if you book this property:-there is a full flight of stairs to the main level and lots of throw rugs (mentioned for people with mobility impairments)-the second bed is in the lower level and has a enclosed area/screen for privacy, but not a separate room.-both sleeping areas do not have shades on the windows and get morning sun. None of these things bothered our group, but I mention them in case they may help someone else.
We had a great time visiting Peoria. The house was in a great location. We enjoyed spending time at the house while enjoying the water equipment, ping pong table and hot tub. Kim reached out several times making sure everything was ok and that we had everything we needed.
The property was very clean and well kept. Was just small and somewhat crowded. Itâs very close to road tracks and trains came through at 4:30 in the morning.
This is a great little house. The back deck overlooking the river is just what I needed at the end of the day. From the plants and flowers outside to the amazing decor inside, this is a great place to stay. If and when I'm back in the area I hope its available at that time because here is where I would stay
This was such a well planned, placed and designed house. It is right along the river where you can watch bald eagles land, or watch the barge go by in the winter and crackle all the ice as it pushes to shore. The hot tub on the upper deck gives you such a great view and if you wake up early enough sunrise is a beautiful scene! The hosts have all the right comforts in place for a really amazing stay.
Stayed overnight after visiting the frozen waterfalls at Starved Rock. Watching the sunrise over the frozen lake from the hot tub was the highlight of the stay. We enjoyed the eclectic decor and playing ping pong with the kids. We are planning to come back in warmer weather to try out the kayaks on the lake.
Our family was in town for Ledgestone disc golf tournament and the house was a great place for locations of disc park's and with the hot tub to relax, also the beds were so comfortable đ and the neighbors were very friendly đ. I will be booking for next year đ đ Kim was very reachable with any need which were none!
The view was absolutely stunning and made the entire trip. I rated lower due to some listed amenities not being available and items in need of repair. However, being able to sit on the deck by the water and roast s'mores over a fire was golden. The trip was very relaxing and enjoyable.
Eclectic decor in a cute 1 bd 2 bath cottage overlooking river ! Nice kitchen space with 2 great sitting/family rooms both overlooking river and deck with hot tub. Huge flat screen in one room . Master bedroom has comfortable king bed with great sheets! Love the feel of this spot and would be great in all seasons! We will be back again !
We had a girlsâ weekend in Peoria for my sisterâs 38th birthday celebration. This charming and eclectic lake home provided all the comfort, escape, and amenities we were hoping for. The hot tub was clean and easy to use. The instructions for the property were clear and accessible. The house is super clean, stocked, and conveniently located. We ended up spending more time in Peoria Heights (shops, restaurants, gorgeous parks/historic homes) than downtown.
Thank you so much for sharing your home! We had a wonderful time!
Nice property, Owner helpful with any questions but not a true 2 bedroom.
The place was very clean, a lot of really neat artwork and lighting. Upstairs family room, kitchen, deck and bedroom were great. Great views of the river. Listing says â2 bedroomsâ , thatâs not correct. My sister in law only stayed 1 night due to the lack of privacy.â 2nd bedroomâ is in the basement and 2 feet from the ping pong table. No dressers or privacy door to be a true bedroom, just a folding panel. Nice place but inaccurate description. Felt presser to give a 5 star rating since checkout instructions said give me a 5 star review and Iâll give you one too. Thats not how it works. Again, nice place, very clean, great river views but itâs not a true 2 bedroom place.
This was a 2 night stay for my husband, myself, and our dog while our kids were out of town. We were looking for a relaxing trip along the water driving distance for us. This was a great find. They had kayaks, a paddle boat, a hot tub, and 2 levels of decks for enjoying the outside. The house was clean with a nice kitchen. They provided things like hand soaps, shampoo/conditioner, dishwasher tabs, dish soap, k cups, toilet paper and paper towels. Which I forget about often with rentals. All these things were very nice thoughtful touches! We found it extremely nice that we could bring our dog along too.
We spent most of the time relaxing at the property, but did enjoy dinner out in the Peoria Heights area one night.
The house is cozy and you will find some new neat art piece each time you walk through a room. Treats and toiletries and plenty of cozy bedding and fluffy towels were provided. Everything inside was wonderful... But the real highlight was the back yard! We didn't end up having time for the paddle boat or kayaks but they would have been a blast without a doubt. We did take full advantage of the beautiful views, comfortable seating, amazing hot tub, and fire pit. Great parking for 2/3 cars, more than that gets tricky but is doable. No complaints about comfort from the guy who slept on the fold out couch bed, and my bed was so comfortable I might need to get a new one for home now. All around great stay, super accommodating hosts, beautiful getaway. You'll forget you are in Illinois.
