This was a beautiful space for us to spend Thanksgiving. The subway was a nice 20 minute walk and the neighborhood and neighbors were friendly and interesting. The space was restful, homey, and included everything we needed. Our host was helpful and always available with great information before we arrived. I canât wait to return.
The most comfortable home in the city! The (quiet) a/c kept us totally cool in August. The beds and living room futon are unbelievably comfy - we slept like logs. Found great produce and groceries at markets on Church St. Food prep and cooking is easy in the fully stocked kitchen with gas stove, toaster, Keurig and fridge. The bathroom is roomy and the shower feels great. We easily accessed Brooklyn Museum and all parts of Manhattan by walking to the subway (easy 1 mile walk) and catching a train. We (women) werenât comfortable with the train/walk after dark, so we used Lyft instead to get home. The host is beyond wonderful, helpful, and responsive. Enjoy the comforts of home while enjoying NYC!
My Name is Wendy Jones and I'm from Trinidad and Tobago. I grew up in East Flatbush in the house I'm now hosting. This is an American Caribbean area where you will find all nationalities which makes you feel at home. Today this area is called "Little Caribbean" which is no surprise. They could not have picked a better name.
I grew up in this house and have been a landlord for over 30 years and enjoyed giving back to the community. Well, I have decided to change gear and now be a host to those that will share my home with me.
