Honu's Hideway-a newly renovated condo with all the amenities, located just steps from the warm tropical waters and on Ali'i Dr a few minutes from Old Kona town Enjoy swimming, snorkeling sun bathing or surfing at Banyons, a local favorite. Swim, sun and enjoy the hot tub after a day of exploring, then open the door to your private paradise. Enjoy the large fully equipped kitchen plop on the couch, listen to music or enjoy a movie, sit on the lanaii overlooking the Mountains , people watch and have an island drink or two
The space
The condo is a one bedroom with a king size bed, 2 large closets. living room and dinning area host a lovely Hawaiian style 4 seat table and chairs along with a love set that is NOT a hid abed, coffee and end tables along with a 32" smart TV. The kitchen is quite large and is graciously equipped to accommodate almost all cooking needs. Not this condo is perfectly suited for two guest, if the need arises for a third adult guest please contact us for special arrangements and additional cost involved.

Kona Vacation

This condo is very well appointed with all of the comforts of home! It is in a convenient location, close to shops and restaurants. It had everything I needed for a Hawaiian vacation. The hosts are easy to get ahold of, and forwarded all check-in information early on, so I had everything I needed for a smooth check-in. I would definitely stay here next time I am in Kona!

Bali Kai nights

We like this resort. It is the 4th stay in the complex. First one in this unit. It is clean, parking is easy, the ocean front area is awesome. This unit faces the road but the balcony is huge, comfortable. It has all the amenities you need. We would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay, especially with the beach pretty much being our backyard. The atmosphere was very chill. Terry was nothing but kind and generous our whole stay. The pool was right outside of our door and was always available to take a dip in and relax. I absolutely loved chillin on the balcony when we got in at night. Everything about our trip was great and Terry made sure he was available for us at anytime. Can’t wait to visit the island again!

Perfect hideaway in Kona!

Perfect location! Loved being able to walk right out to the water for coffee every morning and sunset dinner every evening! Loved watching the surfers right out front the lawn area daily! Turtles in the water at the lawn area were so fun to watch! This condo is stocked very well! Everything we needed in the kitchen for easy meal prep! The very best!

Convenient location. Unit is next to Alii road and noisy. Also, there were ants and bugs ib the kitchen cabinets, drawers counters and under the sink. The unit need to have an exterminator treatment.

Aloha Douglas, Fighting bugs has of late been quite the battle, we did a through treatment the morning that you checked in. We spray we bomb we set out traps, but as any place warm and humid and a little food left out it tough. Had you let me know we would have been more than happy to have made a visit and done another treatment. I have found it is always best to communicate a problem when it is happening.

Close to beach and kona, great place

We loved honu's place, they had great space plus nice welcoming touches when we arrived. Was also really nice that they have snorkel gear and boogie boards in the box on the patio that we could use and didn't have to rent! The place was welcoming and comfortable - close to kona and right on the ocean however the unit is overlooking the road rather than the ocean side of building. Not a big deal as the road wasn't usually too noisy, but it did make the patio less pleasant to sit outside due to the traffic. Overall though we had a lovely time and the place was well appointed and clean, plus had everything we needed and more! Would 100% come back again. Mahalo!

Roadfront, not oceanfront condo

The condo is described as oceanfront. While the condo building is on the ocean, this condo fronts onto a very busy road. If you stay here, you will not hear the ocean. Rather, you will hear lots of very loud trucks, motorcycles, and cars. The owners photos and description are very clever in not showing this flaw. Stay someplace else!

I am sorry Alan was not happy with his choice of properties to rent, In my description of the property it states the balcony faces the mountains and is on Alii Dr., in a photo of the balcony with a view it plainly shows the road and the mountains Not the ocean. This is a wonderful condo and at a very good value, a similar unit with and ocean view is at least double the cost. I am sorry this happened and I am updating the photos to plainly show what the view is from the lanai.

Swimming Pool had no heat. Manager said heating had broken. No umbrellas anywhere. Poor signage for parking when first checking in. Road side condo very noisy. Unit badly located

Perfect Workcation Spot

This stay was phenomenal, yall. All the comforts of home, many which you won't find elsewhere. Full size kitchen including a dishwasher, in-unit laundry, living room air conditioning, parking spots galore!!! Not only were the hosts kind, communicative, and understanding when I got my dates mixed up, but they proactively provided all the info we might need. The instructions to enter the garage came in clutch. Great internet, comfy bed, spacious balcony, and a great location. We had one evening where the unit smelled a bit of sulfur, but Terry explained that the island tends to release gases every now and then. The smell didn't persist and was gone by the time we woke up. Trust me. This is the one you want. Book it if you have the chance! We certainly will whenever we have the opportunity to return!

We are originally from California and now live on this wonderful Island of Hawaii,
the Big Island. We bought the condo to live in as we looked for a home to buy, at the time we never would have thought about using it as a short term rental at the time. We had always came to the Kona Bali Kai for many years and enjoyed it's location and the ocean
front to enjoy beach and the surf. When we decided to remodel we took into account all the amenities that we enjoyed in the many places we stayed and incorporated them into Honu's Hideaway. My wife Tammy loves to cook and the kitchen is set up for just that !!!!!
We have also made sure the bed and bedding is very, very comfy. You will also find all the ocean play gear and picnic goodies that one would need to explore our beautiful
Island.
Hosting has been very rewarding knowing we have helped make there experience much greater.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We have always stayed at the Kona Bali Kai for convenience and beauty and the best Poke
on any of the island " DA Poke Shack" mmmmmmmmm good it located on the main floor.
If you would like to save on rental expense the trolley stops right in front of the condo and travels up and down Alii Dr. and can take you into town with no need to park.

We have taken our time to appoint the unit with local Hawaiian furniture and décor. The unit is just steps away from the warm waters of the tropical pacific, and is located very close and walking distance to some premier beach locations on the Kona side.
