This beautiful Black Hills vacation rental is located in a private spot, just outside of Deadwood, with beautiful scenery, a wrap around deck and a fabulous back yard area with a running spring. On the chilly nights, a fire pit and lots of seating is just one way to really enjoy the Black Hills!

Bear Butte Gulch Lodge is a beautiful vacation home with spacious living room with gorgeous rock fireplace, pool table, flat screen TV and a wall of windows to enjoy the scenery. Just off the living room is a full kitchen and washer/dryer - all on the main floor. There is also a main floor bedroom with queen size bed and full bath. Upstairs you'll find another family room with Big Screen TV, walk-out patio, 2nd full bathroom and private bedroom with King size bed, TV and balcony. The couch in the upstairs family room folds out to a queen size sofa sleeper.

The sunken addition is just 2 steps down from the main level with a family room with rock fireplace, poker table and desk area, 2 bedrooms, one with a full-size set of bunk beds and the other bedroom bunk with a full on bottom, twin on top.

BEDS: 4 bedrooms - 1 King and 1 queen size bedroom, 1 bedrooms with full-size bunk beds (full up and full down),1 bedroom with bunk (full on bottom, twin on top), sofa sleeper in loft. Sleeps 14.

Side by Side group

Our group of 6 stayed here to off road for a long weekend. This house is perfectly located for the trails we like. the trailer parking is tight but they have made an area at the bottom of the hill, so we just took turns driving up, unloading and then backing down the driveway with the trailers. The house is beautiful, and we had plenty of room. We would stay again!

Great Famiky Time

Great place to relax and enjoy lots of time with family. The house was very easy to get to and well supplied for our needs. The kitchen area and large table were great for meals, games and a family craft. Location was peaceful and private.

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. Lots of room for our family. House had everything to offer! Yard was beautiful, especially the pond! Close to town and easy to navigate getting to cabin.

Friends and family get away

It’s a beautiful home that worked perfectly for our vacation. We were there with friends on an atv trip and to get away to the awesome Hills. Location was perfect for our needs. I would recommend this home for anyone wanting to get away to the black Hills. Dave

Great House

House was clean and welcoming! Beds were all comfortable which was a plus! Accommodated a large group very well! Snow removal was kept up during our stay! Cell service was poor, but the house had great Wifi. Will gladly stay again!

Property was great. Roomy and good location for all main sites in Black hills. Kitchen is well equipped. Only minor concern is the gas grill needs a burner repaired.

ATV Paradise

Beautiful property located in the heart of Black hills activities. Deadwood, ATV trails, hiking, biking, you name it. Or just sit back with a campfire and enjoy your own little piece of heaven.

Beautifully perfect

Loved the privacy and the home was beautiful. Kitchen had everything for cooking for our stay. Our 5 kids and dogs loved sledding down the drive and playing in the snow. Do recommend 4wd in the winter. Thank-you for sharing your home.. we hope to come again.

Best VRBO experience we have had yet. great location, backyard was perfect, house was beautiful, all appliances in great shape. We may not get to stay there again as my family is growing, may not be enough room in 5 years, which is too bad!!!

Absolutely Majestic.

I rent a house every year in the Black Hills for Myself, My Wife and a few close Friends to go riding. We are all 50 plus years old and I always try to get a place that is spacious, clean and comfortable. Hit the jackpot here. Absolutely beautiful Log home, clean, spacious and well apointed. The pictures dont do it justice. THANK YOU.

Good Location

Very nice lace to stay, a little rough around the edges but is to be expected being a VRBO. Perfect location close to Deadwood, the main road, gas station and bar and grill right up the road. If you plan on bringing trailers, there isn't enough room in the driveway for them, you have to park them at the bottom of the hill or across the road. We had a 32 foot enclosed that couldn't even enter the driveway because of such a small entry off the road. The internet was completely unusable our entire stay which was very inconvenient. Being so close to the main road, fiber should be easily accessible. Overall a great place to stay.

Many nice features

This cabin had one of the best back yard/fire pit area. It is a nice location, right off Highway 385. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well supplied for cooking onsite. I don’t recall that the ad mentioned it is on open range. We had cattle visiting the yard daily. Another downfall of this cabin is the comfort of their beds. New beds would definitely make this a more desirable place to stay! Overall we enjoyed our stay at this cabin!

A Must-Stay Cabin for Large Families.

We stayed here for 3 nights and found everything about this cabin perfect. Our group found the house very roomy and there was certainly enough room for us all to move around in comfortably. I just asked the whole family on the road home if anyone had any complaints at all, and nobody could come up with anything. By the way, my son left some Bose earbuds in the right bunk bedroom. Please let us know if you happen to find them. Thank you!

Great Property

The property and house was as described. We spent 5 days over new years and many memories were made. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals and the beds were super comfortable. The pool table was a highlight with our adult children, then enjoyed playing many games. The large dining room table was also great for board and card games. We also loved having a fireplace. There was some wood provided and a place to purchase additional wood right across from the driveway. It snowed a few days before we arrived and the driveway was plowed, but would recommend if going in the winter to have 4 wheel drive. The property isn't too far off the highway and only about 5 miles outside of Deadwood - great location.
