Perfect Winter Get Away! Spacious home 2.5 blocks from Lake Superior!

Welcome to one of the oldest, most historic homes in Two Harbors. We are conveniently located within walking distance to beautiful Lake Superior, Castle Danger Brewery, the Two Harbors Lighthouse, and much more. You will love our spacious home with 4 private bedrooms, 2 living areas, 2 dining areas, grand front porch, back breakfast porch, and private back yard. This home accommodates groups up to 9 people, and we take same day bookings! Free offsite snowmobile/UTV trailer parking near state snowmobile/recreation trail (DM for details).

The Historic Residence of Dr. Budd is 4 BR, 2000 sq ft home with a no-pet policy. The main bathroom and only shower are on the 2nd floor. The 2nd toilet is in the basement. This home has been completely restored with period wood work and hardwood floors. The front porch and private backyard are favorites of our guests. The rental was very clean, our host was accommodating in getting us in a little early, which we greatly appreciated! It's super close to alot of cute shops and a couple amazing coffee shops! It was family friendly as well!

A wonderful winter stay for our family of 5 in this historic and impeccably maintained home! Nadine and was a kind, warm and welcoming host. When we arrived a couple of hours earlier than expected, she even let is check in early. The house was so much more than we expected. Every aspect was very comfortable-- from sleeping to sitting to eating meals. Easy access to town and out for adventures. In warmer weather we would have taken advantage of the walking paths and park! We will absolutely be staying again the next time we are in town.

Charming home to enjoy Two Harbors. Family loved staying here. Interesting to read about the history of the home. It's beautiful with lots of character and charm, but despite the age has great amenities. The deck(s) were pleasant places to sip coffee and enjoy the evening. Great location, just a few minutes walk to trails, shore, restaurants, and shopping.

Very nice place to stay especially for fisherman looking for a place close to the two harbors landing or just a even a two harbors vacation home to visit the city of two harbors. Definitely recommend!

This historic home was the perfect place to stay during our family vacation to the North Shore of Lake Superior! It was clean, spacious, and had a little somethimg for everyone in our family, including a piano, board games, and a front porch swing. It was the perfect location for exploring Two Harbors and other beautiful locations along the North Shore, and it was so nice to return to this home base after a day of adventuring. Nadine is a thoughtful and attentive hostess. Highly recommend!

Love this house!

We had the best time in this beautiful old house! It is in such great shape and gave easy access to lots of great hikes on the north shore. We also loved being able to walk down to the water and the brewery. We will definitely be back!

Very fun stay in Two Harbors. The house was clean and stocked with all the necessities. Great location, quiet neighborhood A little rough to just have 1 bathroom for a group of 5 ladies, but, we made it work. Overall a wonderful time 😊

Enjoyable stay

The house is very well maintained. Be aware there is a full bathroom upstairs plus a stool in the basement. It worked fine for the 8 of us with getting a routine down. That may be a little hairy for some people. Otherwise, it had a spacious dining room for eating and games. It made for an enjoyable stay.

Two Harbors Snowmobile trip

Nadine and Jayme were awesome to work with. We were able to leave our snowmobiles and trailers at there property which was super nice since we coudn't leave them in town. The house was spectacular and had everything that we needed. Nadine answered any questions that we had from when we first started looking for a spot to stay, and up until the very end when we left. We would defiantly stay here again!

Charming and cozy historic stay

Excellent property in quaint location, close to shops and restaurants, and brimming with wildlife. Cozy home with lots of room and plenty of amenities. Home was clean, neat and well stocked with essentials. Just over an hour to Lutsen where we enjoyed two full days of skiing. Thank you for the complimentary coffee/tea/hot cocoa and the welcome basket. House was decorated for he holidays and made our stay between Christmas and New Years special. Don’t miss Do North pizza in town - delicious! Thank you for the hospitality - we look forward to another stay

Historic Getaway!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful historical home! Plenty of space for each of us to relax. Our son, who loves to write, spent a bit of time putting the roll top desk upstairs to use. The amenities were easily accessible and the home was sparkling clean. Above all, Nadine was a gracious host, providing plenty of info in the description and in reaching out to us with more details, as we got closer to our visit. She made herself readily available, should we need anything, and welcomed us with a fun basket of "treats" and a note waiting for us when we arrived. The only disappointment for us was that we didn't have the time for a longer stay. Maybe on our next visit! :)

This home is very unique in that it holds so much history. Dr. Budd was a very positive force in the community. Many community members talk today about how Dr. Budd saved their parents or grandparents lives. Dr. Budd was a doctor skilled beyond his time, and he was also very community/civic minded. He was the county physician/coroner; he was the chief surgeon for the railroad; he brought the Carnegie Library to Two Harbors; he was one of the original founders of 3M; he was the president of the local gun club; he served in the state legislature; he arranged for local lakes to be stocked with fish; he was the Grand Marshal of the July 4th Celebration.
