Nestled in the foothills on a nearly 5 acre lot, this spacious home provides comfort, entertainment and a taste of country living, all while being close to shopping, recreation and everything else Oroville has to offer. Located just minutes from Lake Oroville and Gold Country Casino, this 4 bedroom 4 bath retreat offers a pool, game room, large soaking tub, and plenty of outdoor space. Bring your boat, there’s plenty of parking! Please note that we charge an additional fee for guests over 10 at $25 per day, per guest.

Oroville Country Home

We loved our stay! It was a great place to call home base as we moved both our daughters into their new apartment together and also attend and celebrate our daughter's graduation from Chico State.

Wonderful Family Property!

We loved our stay! We spent a week of swimming ,barbecuing and bonding. The Game room was a great spot to hang out. Looking forward to rebooking next year.

Great House for Families!

Large house with lots of room for everyone. Great location - central to the lake, the dam, and the Casino. Plenty of parking, easy in-and-out with a boat. Hosts are very responsive and helpful. A great stay for our family (10) and dogs!

Host was easy to deal with and despite interesting issues with fires, remained open to communication and resolutions. Highly recommend this property.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The home was perfect for our family and our little grandchildren. We loved the pool, the location was great and close to the lake ( we brought our boat and our jet skis) and everyone had a fantastic time. Thank you so much!

Great for fisherman!

My husband and a few friends stayed here for a fishing tournament. The location was perfect and close to the boat ramp. Spacious house and lots of parking. Communication with host was quick and she was very responsive to my emails.

Oroville stay

This day was perfect for our party of travelers. It was an easy process check in with simple instructions were very clear. The house was extremely clean, nice private location and all the amenities s were available to us. I would definitely rent again

Family get together.

Fantastic family get together. Enjoyed the pool, foosball, and billiards. House is spacious and held our 10 people with no problem. Location is remote and secure.

Fun family weekend

This property is great for a family weekend, your family will never be bored. There is plenty of board games, a pool, and the game room. The house is clean and full of essentials. Melissa is such a great host. Our family of 16 had a great time!

Having family all together for my son’s graduation

The house was perfect. All my family/friends that were in town to celebrate my son’s graduation from lineman college were able to stay in one place comfortably. The game room kept the teens occupied. It had all the necessary items needed for a comfortable stay. It felt very warm and welcoming. Due to the storm we weren’t able to enjoy the beautiful outside, but the view from the living room was nice. Thank you!

Great place tucked away

Great find for our 2 families, the house was big enough with plenty of space. The basement was great for family fun (and separation at times) with the pool table, foosball, large chess board and bar. With TVs in every room and a great porch with bbq and plenty of space outside to play football. With closeness to grocery stores, Starbucks and local casino we always had something to do.

Quiet family gathering

Smaller than we'd expected but no major complains. Had hoped the sofa's were actual pullout beds or futons, but only one was (or maybe we just could not figure it out). No problem though, as we made it work. Note that there were no real bottles of shampoo etc... just a small travel size, so if you need more bring your own, or let the host know (as she is very prompt in responding. She was wonderful). Pool was lovely but the area around it could do with some shades/umbrellas or even a tree (it's sun from AM to 8PMish) as the sun was super hot when we were staying, and it made it difficult to enjoy the very nice area around the pool. Everyone had to hide inside while only the daring stayed in the pool and feel like he had his head underwater most of the time! Still overall, lovely stay. Nothing we couldn't fix or adjust accordingly.

Not for Us

With the exception of the property being unmowed, a couch in the basement with exposed hardware, a sink in the kitchen with an unsecured faucet, weeds on the balcony, and a property owner who engaged in racial profiling and unnecessary harassment, we had a great time. I found the owner's constant monitoring of my guests via a Ring camera outrageous and a bit disgusting. The pervasive text messages indicating how many people she saw entering the property, the number of cars located on the property, references to me forfeiting the rental if the police were called, alleged noise disturbance complaints initiated by the neighbors, and protecting her investment from me and my guests were a bit psychotic. I’m positive the individual(s) responsible for the cleaning of the property were pleasantly surprised when the front door was opened to reveal a home that was immaculately cleaned and dare, I say, in better condition than it was upon our arrival. I even had friends/family load excess trash onto their own vehicles and remove it from the premises to not overwhelm the garbage cans on the property. Unfortunately, the owner did not know that the African American individuals that rented the property for a weekend of reminiscing and fellowship were professional, highly educated, home and business owners who were native to the town of Oroville and returned for their annual visit. I wanted everyone to know that this owner made me, and my guest/family feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.

We loved our stay at this house! The pool is awesome! The house is large and clean ! Everything was great. The host is awesome, she was so helpful in everything all the questions or concerns we had she helped! Thank you ! We would love to come back next summer!!!

Great Stay

Our family had such a great time staying at this rental! The pool and outside area was phenomenal for a BBQ, the house is spacious and clean, and the basement area offers games and plenty of space for extra fun. To top it all off, the owner was so nice and welcoming. We will definitely be back!
