The condo is nice but it would be really helpful to have a parking pass provided. On street parking is limited and there is a paid lot next to the building.

The property was very clean. The door is a little tricky but we worked on it until we were sure we understood it and then it worked perfectly. This is much better than a flaky lock that works inconsistently. We enjoyed visiting the Poe Museum during our stay.

The location of this unit is awesome. You find yourself in the middle of everything Richmond has to offer. The fact that it is the old Floodzone was super cool! I saw a few shows in there during the 1990s. The interior of the unit was super clean and probably had the nicest furniture of any of the VRBOs we have stayed. Parking is a bit tight as it is street parking. I would have given 5 stars for cleanliness but the lobby area had trash and there was leaking pipe,from the second floor, dripping in the lobby. We will definitely stay here again.

Convenient to a great neighborhood

This is a great location if you want a combination of touristy attractions and local dining/nightlife. Be aware that the street and parking lot outside will be active late into the night on weekends, but if you plan to go out yourself, you can’t ask for a better spot.

Great little 1 bedroom in Shockoe Bottom neighborhood. Easy to navigate around on foot, several restaurants within walking distance. Check-in process was nice and easy. Found street parking easily as well.

Comfortable stay in Shockoe Bottom

The apartment was exactly as advertised, and is in a renovated historic building. Very convenient to walk to restaurants, or a short drive. Apartment was very clean and comfortable. We were able to park within a block any time we left and came back

Shockoe Bottom Historical Building

Overall, it was fun staying in the heart of Shockoe Bottom in an historic building. The building has hosted a ton of well known musical groups for example. Do be aware, however, that you will likely need to pay each night to park your car in the lot next door.

Nice unit. Great Management

Really cute little unit, felt brand new in a charming historic building. Neighborhood is a short drive/Uber to most areas of the city. However neighborhood is a bit gritty and somewhat loud on a Saturday night.

2-night stay in Shockoe Bottom

I recently stayed at this apartment with my son and grand-dog for 2 nights so that we could attend my other son's graduation. The apartment was perfectly located for us - easy walking distance to food and to a nice path for the dog walks. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and extremely nicely laid out for a ground floor apartment. Mainstay was very responsive. I'd highly recommend for a single or couple.

Great weekend stay Downtown

This place was perfect for a weekend in Richmond. The location is great, but you could hear some noise from outside the bedroom window at night. My husband and I were able to walk from a concert on Brown's Island and we were always able to find street parking. The signs say 2 hrs, not sure how strictly it is enforced? But we weren't really there that long during the day. There was an issue with the code not unlocking the unit door when we arrived, but the property manager responded to our call quickly. Overall, we would stay here again!

Great Apartment, Bad* Location

Host was excellent, property was clean, no complaints about the stay except the location. Apartment has two windows at ground level that are right against a public parking lot that seems to be some sort of local hangout spot. Both nights we stayed there was loud music (shaking the window frame loud) right outside the window, once until about 4am. If you’re into the night life and need a place to crash during the day would highly recommend, but would not recommend if you like sleeping before the wee hours of the morning.

Not Safe for Weekend

Don't use parking lot next door. Saturday we were awoken by gun shots, and our parked vehicle was hit 4 times. We received a police report. The only bedroom window faces the lot this occured in. It could have easily be us that was hit with the shot as well

Good place for weekend getaway

My partner and I and our dog stayed here Saturday-Monday for a NASCAR race in Richmond. We were nervous at first because we didn’t know if there would be an area to take our dog out right in the middle of the city, but quickly found a grass area. The apartment os small but cozy and had everything we needed. The fromt door can be kinda difficult sometimes but we always got it open. The only concerning thing was we found leftover medication and a dirty sock near the washer so maybe it wasn’t cleaned thoroughly before we got there. Overall it was a nice stay and we would do it again.

The place itself was comfortable and cozy. Warm enough, and the temp controls worked well when needed. Keurig coffee maker and so-so shower ( I like more pressure from the showerhead, but that's me ) Enough dishes and supplies although sugar for the coffee would have been appreciated. The problem is the LOCATION. As others have said, there IS ONLY street parking, 1st come 1st served. SO that means you can park free from 8pm to 8am, IF you can fin a spot. Otherwise it's the lot next to the bulding for parking, and get ready to pay about 25 for overnight.There's a LOT of noise outside (yes, even now in winter) and because the bedroom window is next to the parking lot, noise and bright lights of people parking and idling their cars will fill that room with light til the wee hours.

Sundown nightmare

The property was pretty clean, however, the ceiling fans need to be cleaned, the heater vent needs cleaning. The lamp in the bedroom was broken.My biggest complaint was the noise from midnight to 2:30 am!!!! Large young crowd, fighting, loud blaring music, tried calling police without success. This happened Friday and Saturday nights. Felt like I was in a war zone! I truly thought there was going to be gun fire and was very concerned for our safety.
