The home is absolutely stunning. The kitchen is fully stocked and has everything you need. All the rooms were comfortable.The views were beautiful. This property has everything you need and/or want. We had a lovely time and enjoyed entertaining family!

We had a wonderful week with our family at this lovely spacious home on Taylor Pond. This was our 2nd time staying at this property - we were here 3 years ago. Location is great with lots to do in the area. The lake/pond is clean and relatively quiet - we spent lots of time enjoying it!There were many cooks in the well appointed kitchen and on the outside grill. And a family movie night in the game room added to our stay.The house was alive with giggles and laughter from our grandkids throughout the week -wonderful memories made!Papa & Bibi

Everything was extremely easy from reservations to check-in. The communication was great. The accommodations were excellent and the location perfect for our three generation family and all had a great time.

Our family had an excellent stay at this property. It was very spacious for the grandparents as well as two families with three children and two children. Even then we had space to spare.The setting is spectacular and we would’ve loved to have experienced it in warmer weather and take advantage of the lake and the available craft. It is a good sized lake for a body of water that is called a pond! The grounds were beautiful and we really enjoyed spilling out onto the back deck even in cooler weather. It was nice. The fire pit was well stocked with wood for our use and we enjoyed the fire pit very much.This is definitely a cook’s kitchen! We were not wanting for a single utensil or sharp knife to use. What a treat that was because rentals do not usually have such a good selection of kitchen tools and bakeware.The character of the house is true Maine. There was plenty of TV for those who needed them, but I really liked how they were not the main feature in the common areas. Having an extra room off the kitchen, which we could have used as a bedroom, but did not, was very useful. Some of us in our group had to get a little work done sometimes and it was easy to get some peace and quiet in there.Having the laundry room was very handy! You definitely benefit from having a space for what shoes and what not.I would love to come back to this rental in the summer if possible. It was very convenient to grocery stores, which was great!Thank you for letting us stay there!

We stayed at this beautiful home for a week-long family vacation (6 adults, 5 kids) and it exceeded expectations on every front. The house itself was thoughtfully designed and immaculately kept, with plenty of space for our whole crew to spread out comfortably.The kitchen deserves special mention — it was one of the best-equipped kitchens we’ve encountered in a rental, with a fully stocked spice cabinet, basic pantry staples, and appliances we didn’t expect to find (rice cooker, espresso machine included). For a group that likes to cook, this made a real difference.The lakefront setting was the highlight for the kids and adults alike. We had bonfires and made s’mores a couple of nights, and the kayaks provided by the host got daily use. It’s the kind of property that makes a group trip actually relaxing instead of logistically stressful.Highly recommend for families or multi-family groups looking for a well-equipped, beautiful lake house. We’d book again without hesitation. Thank you!

This is our fifth year coming to Maine and this house was by far the best. It was a great location, close to a lot of towns. It had the best stocked kitchen, we did not need to buy anything. It was nice to enjoy the pond and go kayaking. Great place to rest and relax with amazing views.

Stunning lake compound

A property perfect for large groups and family gatherings. The spaces are generous and well appointed, with wonderful settings for recreation and contemplation. The kitchen is the best stocked we’ve ever experienced at a vacation rental. And the lake is a dream. The property exceeded all our expectations!

Great House

Had an amazing stay at summerfell! The house, yard, deck, dock, and lake were all perfect - just like the listing. It accommodated our large group extremely comfortably. Would definitely come back!

Family fun

We are from Texas, the foliage was amazing, great view of the pond. The weather was awesome. The house was nothing short of perfect! Privacy when needed and family time areas. Very nice amenities and perfect location. Five star VRBO for sure!!

Peaceful escape

The home is well stocked with appliances, and all utensils needed for everything. Rooms and bathrooms are all clean. Great central location. The dock is excellent with a cup of coffee in the morning and a beverage at night!

Lakeside getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Summerfell. Taylor Pond is quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding (rented paddle board in Portland on our way). The house had everything we needed and the owners were responsive when we had a minor issue. We hated to leave!

Beautiful House, Beautiful Location

Our family had a wonderful week due to the beautiful location on Taylor’s Pond. Family members with different interests could enjoy the property by either relaxing by the lake or being more active with the kayaks and lake equipment. The location is very family friendly. The house is spacious, clean and very well maintained. We definitely hope to be back.

Family Destination

Three generations of our family came together from several compass points. This large property had plenty of room inside and out for active kids, their parents and aunt, and grandparents too. We made many memories and meals together in the well-appointed gourmet kitchen. The older generation appreciated being able to retreat to the separate guest apartment for quit time. The outdoor toys and waterfront were well used during our stay.

Lovely place

The property is lovely-- just like the pictures. Great morning sun and afternoon shade, nice swimming, comfortable beds, great kitchen and really nice places to sit in groups outside. We also really enjoyed the lounge floats. I wish other reviews had noted that linens are not provided in the summer months-- bringing all of our own towels, sheets, bathmats, dishtowels etc was a bit of an unpleasant surprise. It is written in the description but easy to miss.

Spectacular Property for Bates Graduation

We had such a delightful experience at this magical property. The location and setting are stunning and feel very private and secluded, but you are just minutes away (about 10-15) from the Bates College campus and Lewiston/Auburn. The house is perfectly appointed with extremely comfortable beds and linens and a kitchen any chef would love. Our hosts responded quickly to any questions, and left/sent plenty of information about the house, local stores, and activities in the surrounding area. We had 3 couples and felt very comfortable with room to spread out. We happily give our highest recommendation.
