Backstage Gallery House

The Backstage Gallery House was designed with a love of music and good food in mind. The house features artwork from local venues and artists as well as a private collection of vinyl albums from local Atlanta musicians. There are plenty of incredible dining experiences nearby however, the home is fully equipped should a quiet night in be what you need during your stay.

Conveniently located to downtown Atlanta and in a historic Decatur neighborhood, the Backstage Gallery House is a 5-10 minute drive to many popular local attractions, such as Downtown Decatur, Ponce City Market, Fernbank Science Center, Agnes Scott College, Emory University, Grant Park, Atlanta Botanical Garden, Zoo Atlanta, Little 5 Points and is walking distance to the East Lake MARTA Station.

The space
The exposed brick and industrial kitchen is fully equipped with all new LG appliances and includes a double oven with a pro-bake convection, dishwasher, cookware, flat ware, and dishes for in-home dining, as well as a Nespresso Breville coffee and espresso machine.

In addition to the kitchen, there is also a top-of-the-line Weber propane gas grill for outdoor grilling on the private back deck.

The modern design living area has a super comfy couch, Smart TV which includes Netflix, Hulu, Youtube TV, etc, record player and a private collection of vinyl albums from local musicians. The living and kitchen area are open concept.

There are two private outdoor spaces for you to enjoy during your stay, the screened front porch with rocking chairs and back deck with French barrel cocktail table and bar stools and a propane table-top fire pit with outdoor chairs for those cool Southern seasonal nights.

The bedrooms include comfortable and cozy queen beds and ceiling fans.

The master bedroom also includes a small private bathroom with a shower. The guest bathroom includes an antique claw foot bathtub in addition to the shower. Perfect for a bubble bath after a day spent enjoying the city.

There are a number of bars, restaurants, breweries, music venues and shopping nearby. Ask for recommendations, we love to share our favs!

Please note there is no smoking or pets allowed in the house. Security cameras are installed on the front porch and back deck, they do not face the living space.

Home away from Home

We stayed at this adorable cottage for a family wedding. Location was perfect - just 2 blocks from my brother's home! Perfect location for walking into Decatur, my brother's "local" The Thinking Man and if needed short walk to the MARTA station. The home was as pictured - we made use of the front porch, back porch and the fire pit. Truly felt like our home away from home for the long weekend. Enjoyed chatting with Nike & Keith and we all loved the rock n roll decor too! We will definitely stay here next time we're in Decatur.

Perfect location for exploring Atlanta. The house was very cozy with plenty of space for my daughter in law and I. Would highly recommend.

Great stay in Decatur!

Stayed here with some friends for a wedding after moving away from Decatur. Everything was lovely, and it felt almost like coming home! The house and neighborhood are beautiful, the hosts are great, and we had a wonderful time!

Great space for couples weekend!

We wanted some place cozy for a couples weekend to come down for the Peach Bowl. This house was perfect for our needs. Our hosts were in touch with us throughout the day on check in day and even left lights on for us since we were arriving after dark. We would definitely stay here again!

Retro quaint house

This house was great! The music theme was nice and the pictures and art were very cool to read about! The house was very cozy, and close to some great restaurants and bars! The neighborhood is nice and quiet. Definitely had a great stay, oh, and the Nespresso coffee bar was awesome!!!

It was great!

The house is very cute and in a lovely neighborhood convenient to everything we wanted to do in Atlanta. Everything has been perfectly restored with great attention to detail. There is a patio with a grill and fire pit table which was perfect for sitting outside in the evenings. The hosts were wonderful, and so accommodating when we wanted to add another night to our stay.

Great place to stay

My fiancé and I, along with the other couple who stayed really enjoyed our stay. Perfect place for 4 people. The home was very clean and comfortable. The host were great with providing us detailed information regarding our stay. Neighborhood is quiet and kept us away from traffic as we traveled to and from the ATL area. The one thing I’d mention is the patio set was worn,although I could tell it was due to just normal wear from the weather so couldn’t sit out and enjoy the beautiful firepit but I will definitely stay here again for sure!!

Perfect City Getaway

Your Hampshire Street Home was the perfect in-town getaway for us to celebrate our 15th anniversary! The house was perfect! The warm details could not go unnoticed - gift upon arrival, nice note from the owner/manager, a fully furnished cooks kitchen, fluffy towels, soft and comfy bed linens. Our plans did not let us enjoy the quaint front porch and rockers or fire pit, we must make more time to relax and enjoy next time. Morning coffee is a must and you had every detail covered - selection, creamer, sweater-what a treat! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Spectacular stay in the heart of Decatur

This was by far the best vacation home we've ever had the pleasure to visit. Everything in the home looks brand new and sparkling, and Kevin and Nike have appointed it so beautifully. From the film and musical decor to the modern/rustic style and appliances and fixtures, the home was a visual treat! And we had everything we needed, in easy-to-find spots. Even checking in and checking out was seamless. It was quite cold during our stay, so we did not get to enjoy the front porch or back patio, but they are as inviting and cool as they look in the pictures. If we visit the Atlanta area again before we buy our permanent home there, we will book this beautiful vacation home!

College friends attending funeral

We were a bit loud the first night on the front porch. Our mistake! We weren’t thinking clearly as we have been preparing for a funeral and emotions were all over the place. We stayed up a bit late drinking wine on the front porch. Would’ve greatly appreciated the details of checkin prior to day of. I was flying in and since late check in I decided I could only take a carryon because I wasn’t sure if I would be wandering around Decatur with a rolling bag for a couple of hours. Nike was super friendly and tried to get WiFi fixed while we were there but we were too busy to accommodate person to come back later as we were not going to be home. Not sure if the issue got fixed while we stayed there but there was an attempt. No wifi was no big deal for two nights. Thank you for sharing your little cottage.ac unit was loud every time it kicked on if you slept in back room. Other than that cute little bungalow. Coffee was fabulous and the little snack with water bottles was appreciated!

Great place to stay convenient to Decatur

We stayed here to attend our daughter's wedding. House was very nice and right next to downtown Decatur. The only downside was that metal barstools are not that comfortable after a while. Otherwise, the decor was perfect for an arts focused theme.
