Listen for coyotes at night while stargazing into the Milky Way galaxy.
Visit. Enjoy a golden cotton candy sunset. Stay awhile. And weâd love it if you helped feed the chickens too.
We absolutely adored the Rancho Contento. The kitchen was well stocked with some amazing touches like fresh eggs from the onsite chicken coop. Dori was nice enough to give us a tour of the coop, which I highly recommend if she's available. Our only regret during the trip was not getting to spend more time at the ranch. My family loved it. Would stay again!
Morongo Valley is a small unincorporated sweet town between Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. Best known for the hidden gem, Big Morongo Canyon Preserve where thousands of bird watchers from around the world visit each year. The stargazing and sun rises are some of the most romantic moments you'll experience.
Rancho Contento is loaded with history as it was the home of Cowboy Ed. Ed nurtured his family of humans and animals for a few decades at the ranch. He even built a unique chicken coop filled with a dozen chickens who lay eggs daily for our guests. There's a ton more to experience at the ranch, you'll just have to come for a visit.
