Les points forts : Propreté, arrivée, communication et emplacement
The place was very nice and clean. There was a water issue the owner knew about prior to arrival and it was not taken care of the week we were there and the carpeting was soaked and we needed to walk through it to get upstairs. The owner also knew three families were staying and bringing two boats and the parking was not adequate

My family of 7 had a great time at this property in Arbor Vitae. Eagle sightings every day, calm lake with hardly any boat traffic, and generally a relaxing vacation. Unfortunately, the lake was green with algae, and we were unable to swim (more of a nature/time of the year problem - neighbors indicated it is not usually like this). We were still able to swim at the beach at nearby Big Arbor Vitae Lake. Things to keep in mind - the road/driveway going to the house is very narrow and parking is limited due to this. (Slightly more difficult to maneuver a truck and boat trailer while trying to stay out of the neighbor's area). Also, the dock is not very stable - it is usable, but wobbly and the charcoal grills worked, but we had no control over the heat). Overall, this house worked well for our vacation and had everything we needed (kitchen stocked, clean house, washer/dryer, 2 bathrooms, separate areas for young people versus the parents). We recommend if you want a quiet, peaceful area to enjoy nature.

Family getaway

Was a very pleasant stay. The home was layed out perfectly so everyone had their own space. The lake was quite and the eagles were amazing to watch, with one hanging around the property all week!

The house was clean and was everything as listed. We really enjoyed our stay. Fishing could've been better. But you cant control that. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone. Thanks

Second Stay

Our favorite parts: staring out at the lake each morning and evening, watching the eagles land in the pine tree and cruising around on the pontoon boat. The lake is very quiet, mostly people fishing, and the view of the other shoreline in the evening is very beautiful. Huge firepit and a storage shed full of kayaks, life jackets and even a paddle boat. Inside the beds were all updated this year and wi-fi worked great. Great place to get away from the resort-style vacation.

Great Lake house

The house has all the amenities needed for a home away from home. Full kitchen and laundry were great. Very clean and new furniture and flooring. Plenty of towels, laundry detergent, dish soap, coffee filters etc. Could have used a few more coffee cups and a few wine glasses to round out the kitchen ware. We enjoyed our stay and use of this lovely lake house. The lake view is beautiful, we enjoyed the wildlife of ducks, eagles, osprey and green herons. Even a deer or two at the edge of the lake. Nice quiet location and a good sized fire pit.

The house was well sized for our family of 4 plus one set of grandparents. The house was clean and had a washer and dryer for use, which we did. It was nice to have two living spaces, one became for the kids and one for adults. The kitchen was adequately supplied and we cooked about half our meals in. However, the small grill was barely standing, with an extremely dirty grate of the wrong size (we rigged it to use) and no ash pan so we took it to the driveway so ash was falling on gravel instead of grass. I've never showed up to a rental with a gross, uncleaned grill. There was even charcoals we had to clean out. The dock is there but very wiggly. The swim platform in the pictures is not in the lake and looks like it hasn't been for some time. It is not swimmable off the dock. We managed to get the kayak and paddleboard launched off the side of it, so that was nice. If you like fires, you get 8 sticks of wood total which is a laugh. Plan on brining in more. If you're planning on bringing a boat, the launch is across the other side of the lake (small lake) and it is TIGHT to have the trailer at the house if you also have two cars. It worked but the neighbors are not very neighborly and one must take care to not touch their driveways to assist in turning around. In fact, I heard one cussing out his wife outside so I'm guessing he's one of the ones who'd have a problem with his driveway being touched. Our stay was fine, but I've paid less for better.

Million Dollar View!

We wanted a location with a great lake view...and we got it, and more! We loved having morning coffee outside watching the sun come up and the bonus was a family of bald eagles in the trees above us. We got to watch them all week and it was priceless. We understand from the neighbors that this family is here year-round. The house is very comfortable and accommodated us and our guests nicely. Lia provides everything that you might need for your stay. Our main goal was spending time outdoors and Lia's place was perfect for this. The fishing was a bit of a disappointment, but again, the neighbors were great in telling us that it's normally not like this. I guess there was an overgrowth of grass due to the warmer water temps but we caught many blue gill. We saw and spoke with others who were catching Muskie and one eagle caught and ate (in the same tree above us) a large mouth bass, so we know that they're out there. We would definitely consider staying with Lia again, she's a great host!

Last days of Summer get away!

The property is everything it is promised to be and more! The view is beautiful with all types of wildlife including a bald eagle nest a few houses down makes seeing them in action a reality! The home has everything covered from shampoo to games/DVDs to plug-in night lights to help you navigate at night in a home you aren't familiar with. Even the night stands have USB ports and outlets! Truly a great cabin! New furniture, comfy beds & pillows, high quality sheets and very comfortable bath towels! Fishing is fantastic as well! We were here 4 nights and the kids caught (and released) 15+ pan fish, including a near land of a big northern on bobber fishing! Really a great place that we would be blessed to stay at again! And the owner, Lia, couldn't be nicer and more attentive. I highly recommend this spot for your get away!

Serene Lakefront Paradise

This is our second stay at this property and it was once again a true "home away from home" experience. The house is clean, comfortable with all the necessary amenities and the most amazing view of Little Arbor Vitae Lake. The setting is so quiet and peaceful. There is little to no lake traffic. The most activity we saw during our stay was four fishing boats. This made kayaking and paddle boarding a dream. Last year we saw tons of wildlife: eagles, osprey, herons, otters and loons. This year there was an algae bloom on the lake and wildlife was little to none. We were told that this can happen in August and the wildlife leave in search of a lake with better visibility. The new owner was great to communicate with and quick to respond to any concerns. One nice addition to the property would be a wider dock. It does not extend at the end and there is no space to sit side by side and enjoy morning coffee or just take in the lake view without sitting single file. Lastly, I think the $300 cleaning fee is hefty and the requirement of purchasing insurance was a bit of a put off. But if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful location with the most beautiful lake view, then this is your place.
