It was amazing very clean on the river. Everything you needed was close by. Only one this i did not like was the toilet paper way to thin lol. We will definitely be back
Owner cancelled our reservation at the last minute
At 7:00 p.m., the night before when we were to leave, we were contacted and told our reservation had been cancelled because the owner had decided to have painting done. The owner had not notified Vrbo until the last minute. I have walking problems and cannot do stairs and must have a walk in shower. We were offered other places by Vrbo, but I didnât know if they met my needs. This was no fault of Vrbo. They tried to help but was not successful. I did get a full refund, but if I were the owner, I would have offered a complimentary night. Please share with owner.
The place was great. Location was nice along the river and would have been a relaxing place to chill if we weren't on the go, go, go checking out all of the things in the surrounding area. Only issue i took with the place was the blinds. The blinds don't fit appropriately in the kitchen windows or bathroom window; moreso the kitchen. Unit 402, located on the ground floor, this could be a privacy issue for some. Bathroom window should have been installed with frosted glass; owners may want to consider frosted vinyl sheets (privacy) to go over glass at least in the bathroom. All things considered, I would stay here again without any hesitation.
Our room was wonderful! It was clean, had nice linens, a comfortable bed, and we loved the gas fireplace that covered both the bedroom and living room. The office had great communication. The location is perfect. Close enough for shopping but still off the main street. We will definitely book again!
First of all this was by far one of the best cabin / condos I have stayed in and I stay in a lot for work 10/10 I will be staying here again. Right in town close enough to walk to everything. Very clean and right on the creek.
I took my son for a short mountain getaway after visiting Atlanta for a Braves game. The apartment was surprisingly large for a 1 bed 1 bath. Had all the amenities to cook and do laundry if desired. The location couldnât have been better. Just a few steps off of the back porch was the river. Enjoyed having coffee while I sat on the porch. Very short walk to nearly every attraction Helen has to offer. I never took the car anywhere the entire stay. We went during the hot air balloon festival that also coincided with a bike rally so the town was as busy as I have ever seen it but the property was always quiet and never had an issue with noise at night. Perfect all the way around if you donât have a big family. We ate out for every meal, went tubing, did the mountain coaster, went gem mining, and visited the ballon festival across the river and never had to take the car. The only thing I would do differently next time is bring a fishing rod for the trout.
We enjoyed the location. Close to restaurants and shops. We were disappointed that we werenât able to use the fireplace due to the season, even though it was a little chilly at night.
Couldnât get no one on the phone when they supposedly had issues charging my card, take hours to reply. Finally got that taken care of. Canât contact the same person when calling and after the stay they try to add on extra charges with no notification, make excuses on what the charges are for when I have proof of everything being in perfect condition when we checked out. Other guest couldnât get in because no one was at the office. Get calls 4-5 days later after the stay with supposed âissuesâ just a all around problem.
The property is close enough to walk to town, but still far enough to have a peaceful night. I love that each place has a different them. The fireplace was an amazing touch. Probably one of the best weekend getaways i have had. I highly recommend!
