A quiet cabin set up to be comfy , homey with a lil bit of old time charm with a porch to sit on n enjoy the birds , you can expect a bottle of sparkling juice hersheys kisses and a few rose petals here n there , candy in the dishes and tons of pillows . There is a hotplate. microwave , toaster and a coffeepot in the kitchen. Teas , hot cocoa even the coffee , creamer n sugar and a few bottles of water in the fridge if you need it and its not there let us know ...Now during the warmer months there is an outside shower , one towel provided †We do have a camper on the property that is sometimes rented if this is an issue just let us know â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Missed that it was an outdoor shower! Shower wasn't clean...also way to cold to use. No bathroom photos just the closed curtain. Well water had a very strong sulf/iron smell. Coffee maker didnât work. My partner reconnected the water hose inside of it.The good: EXCELLENT comminication with the host! Firepit with some firewood left for us to use, adorable outdoor spaces, mini fridge n microwave. Relaxing getaway location, allows dogs, and very inexpensive!Could use better lighting in the kitchen n bathroom areas.Would stay again but only for 1-2 nights.
The cabin was cute, very small but cute. We knew there was an outdoor shower but did not realize how rough of shape it was in until we arrived. We made it work though. The camp most definitely needs an air conditioner, it was so hot that we slept each night with the door open. The propane bottle for the grill was empty but the owners did not waste anytime bringing one over and setting it up for us. When we arrived back to camp after fishing Lake Ontario all day, we went to start the grill and 6 or so hornets flew out from under the cover of the grill. It seems we may have killed them when we lit the grill. All in all it was a good stay but does need a little TLC
Had no info on a check in or that the place would be unlocked but a key hanging outside. At first it seemed ok just a lot of aerosol spay. Checked the bed, "black sheets", hides dirt and stains. Was full of sand, didnt look soiled like it was slept in, but a lot of sand and lint like was washed after a day at the beach. Black dust on a small window fan showing just how poorly clean this place is on a regular basis. Dust mites and dust webs around the place. Told host about bed, no reply for hours. We couldnt stay and ened up driving another 4 hours toward home. Place is very cute and has potential for what it is, looks like host is trying. Just doesnt realize the level of clean needed for a rental. Disapointed.
This adorable cabin was a great stay. The environment around the cabin was full of adorable treasures to search for. The stay was so peaceful and relaxing. I would recommend the cabin to all my friends
The host is very nice. The smell of rotten eggs from the water is hard to ignore. The place is hot. The fans are disgusting with so much lint and hardly have any air pushing threw. When it rained the toilet wouldn't flush. No towels for hands or shower. Yes theres a shower now but remember rotten eggs smell of water.
One last thing... Too many nick-nacks . Its a small place you dont need all this stuff in your rental. Again, host very nice lady but place needs work.
The bed was very comfortable. I found the place a little dark, as all the windows are up in the front part by the kitchen. The kitchen worked out really well - had everything i needed!
It was cold, damp and windy, and then snowed, so did not spend much time outside. I think I would love sitting in the yard or on the front porch in warmer weather.
I liked that Amish buggies drove by and the road was very quiet. Also like that it is relatively close to Lake Ontario (maybe 15 miles) -- took a ride the first day to Oswego and then up to Mexico Point State Park. There are other state parks also along the lake just a bit up from Mexico Point.
Nice, cute little cabin, perfect for a quick stop. Reasonably priced. No shower or internet access but that wasn't a problem for us. My kid appreciated all the candy around!
This was such a cute little cabin to stay at while we explored the area and enjoyed being away from the city for the weekend. We stayed the weekend before the Fourth and had such a great night enjoying a fire in the back and watching fireworks in the distance. A really great stay and weekend overall. Thank you so much!!
