In the heart of an old Bajan neighborhood sits this Villa that was once a family home built by the ownerâs ancestor over 70 years ago. It features 18 inch limestone outer walls which keep the interior cool on hot days. Villa Dorothea, named for the matriarch who build it, has 3 bedrooms and 2 updated full bathrooms. East-facing bedrooms give optimal airflow and also come equipped with ceiling fans and A/C wall units. The large, fully equipped and modern kitchen is a chefâs delight and relaxing is so easy with spacious living and dining areas as well as a large, breezy balcony. A barbecue is also available for use on the balcony. If youâre working while you stay or catching up on the latest Netflix series, the high speed (300Mbps) WiFi keeps you connected.
Villa Dorthea is a short walk to the beach and many restaurants including the Worthing Court food trucks nestled sit under a giant breaded fig tree for which the island was named (Los Barbados). The British dropped the 'Los.'
For what. The host charges the place needs to be updated, furniture very old and replaced. The washing machine leaked terribly all over the hall way floor. It was reported to the host. There was a type of repair but it still leaked badly.
The house needs definitely updating the floors tho clean looked dirty. Would I stay again, no Iâm afraid I will not.
Would definitely recommend this property. It is a beautiful bajan villa situated in a quiet residential area, that is a very short walk to restaurants and the beach. Well maintained with everything we needed.
What made it special for us was the lovely welcome from Charmaine who was waiting for us on arrival to show us the villa. She then took us in her car to familiarise us with the neighbourhood and shopping for firstnight essentials at the supermarket.
She kept in touch with us via whats app and even dropped off umbrellas when it rained.
She is a wonderful host.
