We had such a wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptionalâour host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well cared for, which made it easy to settle in and relax. The location was also perfect for our tripâjust a quick 15-minute drive to The University of the South. While you can occasionally hear the train horn, it didnât impact our trip in a negative way at all. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and weâd gladly stay here again!
We loved our stay here! Each room is unique and the entire place is cozy and charming. Rachel was very friendly and kind and offered a delicious continental breakfast in the morning. Weâll stay again if weâre ever back in town. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
The Inn is a delightful place to originate daily excursions in the area. We were there for an event at Sewanee and it is in an ideal location for access to the University and also the adjacent communities.
Very cozy with sweet personal hospitality and touches all around. So glad we chose a locally owned boutique hotel. Our journey was most definitely enriched by it!
We met both the owner and manager and they were incredibly hospitable! Our pets (which we notified of in advance) were spoiled by everyone they met too! Thank you for a lovely weekend and a close proximity to our student! We look forward to our next visit!
This was a wonderful little gem! Every room was special and the hosts were super friendly and made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back and recommend this Inn to anyone!
Lovely place. Beautifully restored old building, quiet, and sparkling clean! Captures the old time vibe of the locale in the best way. Tom was a wonderful host.
I've lived most of my adult life in Florida where I have this beachside bungalow aka "home". I am also spending time in Tennessee where I have family ties, Firefly Farmhouse in Winchester and a historic railroad hotel, Franklin House in Cowan.
I am a mixed media painter and worked in Interior design for 25+ years. My heart is to redeem things by changing the energy and making them better. In my small way I create pleasant environments to be enjoyed by myself and others.
Ormond by the Sea is a jewel tucked in between the Atlantic Ocean and the Halifax River. My place is about a half a block from either, so an easy walk to see the sunrise over the ocean and the sunset over the river. The late 50's-early 60's community smacks of a mid-century modern style combined with beachy. My place still has the old jalousie windows and cross ventilation abounds when you open them. The ocean can be heard from the back yard where you'll find a sitting area and pergola. The morning sunrise can be easily enjoyed from the front porch. This is simple, straightforward living with the ocean breezes in your midst.
I have a unique sense of style which abounds from the tool box in the kitchen to the original artwork throughout the house. I purchased the bungalow in 2016 and put alot of effort into giving it a fresh and artistic vibe. Our street is unique in that we have 2 dedicated parking spaces right at the beach so if you want to conserve steps rather than walking 1/2 block to the beach you can drive!
