Beautiful Cabin on private lake close to all the attractions in the Eastern UP!

Come for a get away at Papa’s Place!!! This newly remodeled cabin sits on a quiet, private lake, with a large main floor, master bedroom, and a loft with a pair of twin beds. You will find a fully furnished kitchen, brand new appliances, and spacious dining area. A great place for relaxing, you can take a ride around the lake in a paddle boat, fish off of the dock, or have some S’mores around the campfire. Enjoy the sunrise over the lake while sitting next to a cozy fireplace in the cold months, or from the deck in the warm months. Crank up the AC if you need to cool off! Located just off of I-75, and situated between Sault Ste. Marie and St. Ignace, it is the perfect gathering spot to enjoy all that the Upper Peninsula has to offer. Just over 1 mile from the Chippewa County Airport, and only a 15 mile drive from the Soo Locks. For the winter months, it is conveniently located within a hundred yards of some of the best snowmobiling trails in the Eastern Upper Peninsula!

We were very happy with this place. It was nicely decorated, clean and laid out well for what we needed. We loved the live edge bar, fireplace and view of the lake. We also utilized the grill on the deck. There was plenty of parking as we had a truck with a boat trailer and a second truck. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

This is a beautiful place to stay. It's so calm and peaceful. It was the perfect size for my husband and I. We spent a lot of time on the porch looking over the lake. Cabin was clean and the kitchen was stocked nicely with cook gear and spices. Located close to grocery store, Dollar general and gas station. If you don't want to cook the pizza patch was really good too. Thank you for the stay.

Beautiful cabin and well stocked. Host were prompt in answering all our questions and quick to have the AC fixed when it went out. A wonderful place to stay on your next trip to the Upper Peninsula!

Beautiful cabin on a private lake. Cabin was very clean, fully stocked, and very comfortable. The hostess responded to text quickly and was so helpful and gracious. Would definitely stay again! Will also recommend to others traveling up that away. The only comment i would have is, and this is not a negative comment, is there is no wifi or TV. Phone reception was very limited. There is so much to see and do in that area that you really don't miss it until you return in the evening. If you want to unplug, it's perfect!

Stayed with 3 of my siblings and it was wonderful! Kitchen was well equipped and we used the grill for dinner on the deck. Very peaceful! We actually met Vanessa and her daughters when we arrived. Very nice family! We will definitely book again!

Family get away

Your home was beautiful. Wish we had more time there. Thank you for opening it up to us. We got in late and ordered food from a nearby sub shop. The sandwiches were delicious and we sat outside on the back and ate those and overlooked the lake. By far the best place up in the that may have been to. Thank you again

The cabin was very cozy, clean, and updated with new appliances. The host was very responsive and accomodating. The reason I left a 4 star review was because my family and I were expecting to swim on the lake. That was the whole reason we booked the cabin. I did not read anywhere on the listing that the host recommended not to swim in the lake. I read that in the binder left on the table at the cabin, so that was really disappointing. And the mosquitoes were so extreme that bug spray didnt help much, so we weren't really able to sit outside on the deck and enjoy the view. Other than that, we had a good experience.

Great location just 40 minutes north of Mackinac Island. Very clean and it has everything you need. Great host and beautiful home. You can't go wrong with booking this one.

Cabin was even better than pictured. Easy check in and great location to Soo Locks and Mackinac island. Cabin was spacious and setting was so peaceful.

The cabin was very clean. The lake was great for fishing, but not able to swim in it. It’s very relaxing and peaceful there. Would definitely consider staying there again.

The place is absolutely beautiful- actually, a lot better than the photos in the listing. It was spotless, and we loved the interior and decor. The lake view was truly the cherry on top. We did face a minor issue with the restroom not flushing properly due to a full septic tank, but everything else went smoothly. Check-in and check-out were hassle-free. We wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Beautiful place!

Location was perfect. Beautiful inside and out. The lake and wildlife were just what we needed. Everything you need was provided with lots of extras for fun family game time. Would book again!

Great cabin!

Very quiet and peaceful location! Our kids enjoyed the paddle boat, playing in the yard and playing the games and puzzles that were supplied in the cabin. The inside of the cabin was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. My husband appreciated that the propane tank was full for the grill and that he didn’t have to go out and get some after our long drive! Check in and out was also very easy!

The rental was an adorable log cabin with a wonderful view and a beautiful, cozy fireplace. The decorations and location helped it feel extra homey.

Such a cute place inside is all remodled and has everything you need..no tv which is fine with me my internet worked well in bathroom...waking up having coffee on deck looking over the water is amazing..decent price
