Ready for a southwest adventure or need a cozy place to stay in the land of enchantment? This colorful updated Victorian is happy to oblige. It's a short walk to downtown Aztec for groceries, coffee shop, brewery, restaurants, museum, park & art gallery. Visit the Aztec Ruins National Monument, fish the Animas or boat at Navajo Lake. Day trip to Four Corners, Mesa Verde or Durango. Off-road at The Dunes or Glade Run recreation areas. Hike or mountain bike the Alien Trail. Then return to relax!
This place was amazing in quiet neighborhood with close proximity to center of town with ability to walk to restaurants and grocery store. Best of all the kitchen was great with all amenities.
In Aztec on business for 4 days. Didn't spend a lot of time in the house but it was very comfortable for a couple of hours in the evenings and for sleeping. Location is great as it is close to the Safeway/ Starbucks and also 3 blocks to the best restaurant in town.
This was a great weekend getaway for my husband and I! Super cute house close to lots of ruins. And the host was a wonderful communicator and very sweetly left us a nice bottle of wine. Would absolutely stay again!
We felt so lucky to have found this place. It is very nicely decorated and set up, cozy and homey. We were actually sad to leave it!! Everything you can imagine wanting or needing is there-from kitchen staples to really nice shampoo and body wash!
I will absolutely be staying here again, in fact I cant wait!!
We loved this little house so much last year that we reserved it a year ahead! We will reserve early again because itâs such a pleasure to stay in this little house. The hostess Kyla is easy to communicate with also! Thank you Kyla!
This little house is the kind of place you want to pick up and take everywhere with you. The neighborhood is quiet and so is the house. The bedroom is cosy and comfortable and quiet. Everything works like it should; the AC is efficient and unobtrusive. The location is great--it's easy to get in and out of the neighborhood, and you can walk to restaurants and the Aztec Museum. Stay here with confidence. I loved it!
Walking through the antique iron gate gives one a sense of stepping back into a simpler time. The house was tastefully decorated with comfortable period pieces. The kitchen, while keeping the charm of a bungalow, was appropriated with all the modern gadgets that make tasks easier. The bedroom was cozy and welcoming. The bathroom exquisitely updated. The entire property was well kept. The peaceful, convenient, and beauty of this bungalow, puts it on my return soon list!
We booked this place in Aztec because we wanted to visit Aztec Ruins National Monument. What a great choice! It was clean, comfortable, had interesting art on the walls, lots of intriguing books in the "study" area, and it was about a mile from Aztec Ruins.
I had several communications with the host. She was very helpful and friendly.
If you are going to be up in the Aztec/Farmington area, I highly recommend staying here.
This little Victorian house has been beautifully restored and furnished! The photos are accurate! The kitchen is a âworkingâ kitchen! The outdoor space is private and nice to sit in! The neighborhood is quiet and the homes are mostly small and well maintained! Main Street is 1 block away and one can easily walk the town! Safeway is an easy walk and has a great Deli as well as Starbucks! Rubioâs Restaurant is an excellent choice and within walking distance. And as the street implies churches on Church Street are open and welcoming! The hostess was readily available and answered my texts in a timely way, but we had no problems and enjoyed our stay! We will be back! Oh, and Durango is just up the road as well as Mesa Verde!
Azetec is a very nice town. Kyla's house was very comfortable and very well stocked with commodities that you may need while eating-in. Beds were comfortable, furnishings were all excellent.
My husband Steve and I purchased âAzteca Amorâ in September of 2021 after looking for over a year for the perfect property to create as a vacation rental in the Aztec area. We live just north of the border in Colorado. We love exploring New Mexico with our family. If you have not yet had the opportunity we think you are going to love it too!
Steve is a builder by trade and I am a photographer. This house has been a fun project for me. Every piece of furniture has a story. I am a big fan of color and comfort. I put a lot of effort into bringing both those elements into this house to make it a cozy place for anyone to relax and enjoy.
This is a quiet, relaxing neighborhood to chill out in. It is in the heart of Aztec. I enjoy walking around the neighborhood in the morning and evenings. Everything you need is nearby. Because you are right down town, this house is central to all kinds of exploring. Day adventures for fishing (Navajo Lake and Animas river), culture (Aztec National Ruins), hiking and biking (Alien trail) and four-wheeling (Dunes Recreational area) are all near by.
Gatherings are welcome but because it is in a residential community âpartyingâ is not acceptable. Please be respectful of our neighbors. There is a casita on the back of the property lot that is a full-time rental. The backyard divides the two houses. The casita has a separate private entrance, so as not to disturb any vacationers during their stay and vice versa.
You can walk to whatever you need in the way of groceries, food and even entertainment. This house is located one block from the main street of Aztec. Driving is easy to navigate. Aztec is a mellow community and easy to find your way around.
You are also close to a lot of other fantastic areas: 40 minutes to the Mountain town of Durango, 1 hour and 15 minutes to Mesa Verde, 25 minutes Navijo Lake State Park, 30 minutes to the wine of the San Juans vineyard, 16 minutes to Tico Time river and festival resort.
