Cricket Cottage is a storybook home nestled in a wild country garden. This 3-bedroom, 2 bath home sits across the street from Manitou Beach and Playground. Character and charm at every turn!

Featuring 9-foot main floor ceilings, transom windows, original fir floors and a cast-iron claw foot tub plus all the modern conveniences including central air conditioning, gas range, hot water on demand, hot tub and new ensuite bathroom in loft suite. There is a Weber BBQ and a spacious covered outdoor kitchen and dining area for al fresco garden side meals.

Enjoy a large, fenced yard and country flower plus small veggie garden just steps to the waterfront, playground, farmers market, café, Naramata Inn Restaurant, and retail stores. A beautiful backdrop for exploring wine country, resting, rejuvenating, and making memories with friends and family.

Our family had a lovely stay. The home is very close to the main beach and is really well set up for all ages (we had a range of young kids - grandparents).

Thanksgiving Naramata Stay

Cricket Cottage exceeded our expectations. The home was charming, private, spacious, extremely well stocked, and in a terrific location. Clear instructions ensured a seamless check in and stay. Anything that guests would want or need was thoughtfully provided. We would highly recommend a stay at Cricket Cottage.

Wonderful Wedding Weekend

Everything at Cricket Cottage was picture perfect! The time went by way too fast. Beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces. The hosts were awesome with quick responses. We look forward to coming back again.

Perfect relaxing stay in quiet neighborhood across from the beach.

Cute farmhouse style house, very clean and lots of outdoor seating areas. Loved it and ate all meals outside. Close to everything in naramata and able to walk everywhere. Our dogs loved the beach twice a day. Beautiful big yard with great trees and green foliage. Cute garden in the front.

Wine country wonderful!

This cute cottage is probably the best vacation rental I have ever stayed at. From the lovely welcome gift to a fantastic setup and anything you could require. We were with two other couples for a wine getaway and we had an amazing time. We cooked meals, tasted wine, and enjoyed lots of laughs. We will return for sure!!

4 friends celebrating truning fourty this year.

It was a perfect place to catch up and spend time with friends. Walks along the lake, wine tours and hot tubbing in the evening was magical. I would recommend to a friend and am looking forward to the next time I am able to go back. It is pet friendly if you have allergies bring an antihistamine. I could not have imagined a more warm and welcoming place.

Excellent 3 Night Stay .... Beautiful home and gardens.

The location is excellent, close to wineries, the beach, restaurants and a short drive into Penticton .. The cottage has a warm and cozy feel ... excellent amenities, hot tub, outdoor spaces, comfortable beds and everything you need for your stay. Chad was very helpful with tips on where to eat and local events going on in Naramata. Located in a quiet neighbourhood, ample parking and great outdoor spaces. Kitchen is well equipped and the Wolf gas range was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back for sure. There are dozens of awesome wineries close by and Naramata is a great place to visit .. Dan & Joan.

Perfect Place for a Ladies Weekend

Cricket Cottage was a wonderful spot to visit in Naramata. We were so pleasantly surprised with the proximity to the beach and the town. The backyard space and outdoor ammenities/games etc were fantastic. Not to mention, beach equipment (chairs) and a wagon to roll your way down to the beach. Every detail was thought of in the cottage: soap, shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, maekup sponges, make up clothes, hair dryer...everything! The area was really quiet. The bird song and fragrant native flowers made us feel like we were in heaven. The kitchen has everything you could want in it as well, plus Marci outlines all of the appliances on her website so you can easily plan meals.

Special birthday for mom

I just returned from a lovely stay at Cricket Cottage. It was a special celebration for my moms birthday. My sister and aunt joined us in this quaint cottage. We were so impressed with the cleanliness and well stocked cottage. Marci and Steve are so kind and helpful they ensured we were oriented and found all of the amenities in the house and surrounding area. The little house is so charming with lots of space for four adults. We enjoyed drinking coffee in the very private back yard and cozy kitchen. The cottage is located in the heart of Naramata with a very short walk to the beach and the little downtown. We also ventured out to walk the KVR and local wineries for tasting. Thank you so much for all the thought and care you have put into this wonderful vacation home, we will be back.

In a word...Perfect

Charming, quaint and welcoming are just a few superlatives that describe this fabulous property. Equipped with every amenity one could possibly wish for, Cricket Cottage is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a relaxing, enjoyable and stress-relieving vacation. A two minute walk to the lake, beautiful scenery, hiking trails, numerous nearby wineries and then awaiting you upon return to the cottage, all the comforts of home - amazing! A hot tub, two fire pit options, indoor and outdoor games, a generously-sized well-maintained yard complete with two cornhole boards, an outdoor kitchen/dining area to the very well-equipped cottage itself...the owners have thought of everything and it doesn't get any better than this. From the personal welcoming touches upon arrival to the thoughtful attention to detail, we absolutely loved our one week stay in September and would return in a heartbeat!

Old-time feel with modern comforts

We had such a fabulous experience at Cricket Cottage. It brought back so many memories of our own childhood's at our families' cottages. However, the cottage has all of the modern amenities - everything from wi-fi to up-to-date laundry machines, hot tub, and gas BBQ. Even though the outside temperature was pushing 40 degrees during the day, the air conditioning kept us all comfortable at night. Great location, with an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, and stores. Close to great wineries (and a new brewery). Cottage was very clean when we arrived and had everything we needed. The gift basket and bowl of fresh cherries was an added bonus. Looking forward to our stay next year!

UNFORGETTABLE!!!

We have been coming to Naramata for over 15 years now and staying with friends, however, this year we wanted to extend our stay and include our now adult children and dog. This was hands down one of the best vacations we have spent with our entire family. Attention to detail was incredible, from the well-stocked kitchen to the bottle of wine left for us, it was perfect. The air conditioning was a godsend and worked incredibly to keep us cool during our stay. I would give this 10 stars if I could. All the "extras" that we didn't have to pack was so appreciated from the wagons, beach chairs, beach towels, dog kennel, etc. Marci was always so very quick to respond to any queries we had and was a pleasure to deal with. We will be back!

Great place for the fam!

This home has lots of vintage charm with all the modern day perks! The beach is clean and super close. Great farmers market, close to wineries and cute bakeries and shops right in town.

First Girls’ Trip since Covid

Our travel group usually goes a little further afield, but this three day wine tour of Naramata Bench was our answer in this Covid time. We enjoyed Cricket Cottage with all of its amenities, walked around the village and enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Naramata Inn.

Wonderful Cottage!

Our two week stay was just perfect. The cottage is very well stocked with everything we needed (cooking essentials, linens/towels, toys and games, etc). There was more than enough space for our group of five. The extras such as high chair, travel crib, beach chairs, beach toys, cooler & wagon were very much appreciated! The cottage was very clean with comfortable beds & lots of places to sit and relax. Great communication with Chad, he was a breeze to deal with. We highly recommend Cricket Cottage! Thank you for the warm hospitality & lovely stay.

One of my favourite properties I've rented.

A charming and beautifully appointed cottage just steps away from the beach with lovely manicured grounds and whimsical touches everywhere. The outdoor dining area, fire pit and hot tub make it a true gem. The hosts have thought of absolutely everything needed to enjoy a stay in the area - wagons, coolers, beach chairs, towels and much more. Can't wait to return!

Excellent Experience

From the very beginning we have had a great experience. Right from the booking. Chad and Val were very friendly and prompt with replies. They were extremely accommodating with allowing us to check in 2 hours early as we were trying to beat the weather. When we arrived everything was so clean and put together. They even left us a box of chocolates. Those small touches meant everything. They also had everything you could think of. Bedding, towels, spices condiments a highchair and playpen so we didnt have to bring our entire house. I cant say enough good things about this experience. It was seamless. I will for sure be returning. Sad they are booked up for the summer but I'll be booking for next summer.

Anniversary Getaway

We and another couple are both celebrating our 25th wedding anniversaries. Cricket cottage was the perfect home base for our getaway together. Wonderful touches throughout, a full kitchen for creating memorable shared meals, hot tub, and outside fireplace. Situated close to the beach, shops, the KVR and of course the many wineries in the area, there was always something to do and see!

Naramata in October

This is a funky little cottage that has been carefully renovated so that the kitchen and 2 bathrooms are updated & very functional . There are 2 main ( king/queen ) bedrooms and a larger bedroom with 3 beds ( queen/ 2 twins ) suitable for a third couple or kids. Large garden, hot tub, picnic table ......nice for a family vacation within walking distance of the lake and several wineries .

This home was one of the original Naramata Cottages, originally built in the 1930's. It has been lovingly restored and upgraded over the years but still maintains much of its unique heritage charm while offering many modern conveniences. The yard is a magical country garden offering complete privacy and tranquility.
