You will have plenty of space in this 10 bedroom, 16 bed home. Relax in one of two living rooms while you enjoy views of beautiful lake Norway. Sit around the fireplace and relax, or go for a Kayak/or paddle board ride. You will find the kitchen supplied with all the appliances and dishes needed to celebrate together. Roast some marshmallows out in the fire pit, or catch a tale worthy fish. Even in the winter there are things to do, great ice fishing, snowmobile trails and more. Whatever you choose you will enjoy your stay here!

America House New London

We had a great stay! It was our second year staying at this house. Our family of 11 came traveled from 3 states to gather together. There are ample bedrooms and living spaces. Two fridges in the kitchen and large counter areas for food prep. We especially like the extra large dining table. It is perfect for dining and for two separate groups of card players. The house was clean and the beds that we used were all comfortable. One of the bathrooms has been remodeled since our last visit. We enjoyed the sunset each evening as it set over the lake. This is a great house for large families or a group.

Fishing with the Family

Or stay at your place was exceptional. Everything was nice and clean. It was nice at our family it was 16 of us, that we all had a bed! Definitely would put in again for next year.

A great Stay

Great for our family get together. Plenty of bedrooms. The huge dinner table was perfect for meals and playing board games. Very comfortable family rooms up and downstairs made social time great. The assortment of kids toys downstairs was a big hit with the 3 year olds. The outdoor fireplace was fun on a chilly afternoon. Carmen was quick to respond to all inquiries.

Quick trip

I stumbled upon this gem of a rental when looking for a place to host 8 adults and 4 kids. For a quick trip over the long weekend. This place was perfect. The sunset night one made the drive from the airport worth it! So beautiful! There were plenty of bedrooms for all of us to have our own space. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking things we might need. The high chair and pack and play were life savers for me traveling solo with a 7m old. We came to the area for a sad occasion but are already discussing on coming back for a happier occasion where we can take advantage of all the outdoor amenities! Thank you for being such a kind and responsive host and sharing your home with us!

Family Vacation

This was the second time we’ve stayed here and it was just as good as the first time! Finding a large enough place to accommodate the big family is tricky and this place checks so many boxes- especially the large dining table! Thank you for another wonderful stay!

Spacious place to stay on a lake

Great place for groups with a lot of bedrooms and gathering places. Well stocked and maintained - everything worked which isn't always the case at VRBOs. People appreciated the paddle boards and kayaks. Great room for movie night. Would definitely return.

Just what we were looking for!

Great space for a large group. Backyard was lovely with plenty of things to do! We enjoyed kayaking, paddle boating, corn hole, and croquet.

America Cabin on Lake Norway

This is a great property for families or large groups. We had 11 people and there were ample bedrooms and gathering space for everyone. The kitchen had plenty of counter space for several people to be preparing food. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and serving pieces. The large living room windows afforded a fabulous view of the lake and at sunset. We have stayed in many properties for our family gatherings, but only this one had a dining table that could seat 16! It was perfect for dining and for two groups playing cards. The property manager, Carmen, was great to work with; very responsive to my email communication and she was extremely helpful to me when I needed to move our dates back one day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at America Cabin!

Perfect property for a family gathering!

This house was a great find for a group our size. They kids loved all sleeping together in the room with multiple twin beds. It was nice that each family had their own room. The location was super too. We hope to return!

Awesome setting and host for a work retreat

With 10 bedrooms, our leadership team was able to use the common space for discussions and meals, yet had our own space as well. Great team building environment.

Sisters weekend fun

There were 8 of us that stayed and had more than enough room. Beds were comfortable and was nice that everyone had their own room. Kitchen is well stocked. Outdoor area is nice for yard games. We didn’t use the lake at all. Owner was very responsive with any questions. Would stay here again! Only about 7 miles to downtown New London with some cute cafes and boutiques. Fun shopping!

Great location!

We have a large family and this house fit us perfectly. We loved the separation of some of the rooms to fit the different people who stayed. The lake was beautiful and the kids loved all the lake toys. We hope to be back again.

Family Vacation

This was our second year we have rented this cabin/house for our family vacation. It worked out very well for our group of 20 including 8 adults and 10 grandchildren. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed during our stay. There were plenty of beds - we didn't even use a couple of them. We spent a lot of time swimming and tubing from our pontoon, but the kids also enjoyed swinmming from the dock and the floating raft. Spent an afternoon enjoying mini-golf and go-carts at the Big Kahuna in Spicer, and another hiking to Mt. Tom in Sibley State Park. Water quality on Norway Lake was ok, but generally greener than some of the other lakes in the New London-Spicer area. Unfortunately, fishing was not great while we were there, but the fishermen among our group still had fun trying. The neighbors were friendly and went our of their way to say hi. We have already booked the cabin for next year and look forward to being back!

Great space for large groups

Our extended family of 16 (8 adults, 8 children) had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay here. The cabin is very clean, and so spacious that we had plenty of options for rooms and still had beds left open. The giant kitchen table fit our entire group! The double living room provided a nice opportunity for kids to play downstairs with toys and books provided, and adults to visit upstairs, enjoying the beautiful view of the lake. The backyard had lovely views of the lake and a nice bonfire pit. We chose to visit a different lake nearby in Spicer for swimming due to the water at the cabin appearing to have high levels of algae. The cabin is very well supplied with anything needed for a comfortable stay including kitchen supplies, towels, bedding, high chairs, pack and plays and toys. A washer and dryer was the only amenity we found ourselves wishing for. We found the owners to be easy to communicate with, flexible, and invested in our trip being enjoyable, which it very much was! Thank you!

Mother’s 80th Birthday

We had an amazing family vacation for our mothers 80th birthday. There were 18 of us and we had plenty of room and enjoyed the large family table for meals and games. The access to the lake was perfect and all of the kids loved swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. The house was perfect for all ages. It was easy to find with plenty of parking. The fire pit was fun at night making s’mores, sitting by the fire and great conversation. I would recommend this property for large family or lots of friends for an awesome get away!!

Family Weekend

We were very impressed. We’ve been doing family weekends for 10 years and this was a favorite. Lots of water activities, a beach just down the road, a bike/walking path across the road. Lots of room. We will go back.

Very spacious to accommodate our blended, and growing family! Hard to find an 8+ bedroom where we can all be under the same roof! Carmen was very helpful and quick responding with any questions as they came up. Fishing was okay, but bountiful enough to have a fish fry. Grandkids learned how to kayak, and catch large fish of off the dock. Bass, blugill, off the dock, and a good size. We might venture back this way soon!

Paul and I have been married for over 30 years and raised a large family of 4 who are all now grown up with their own families. We were ready to take on a new adventure and owning and running this lake house is exactly what we were looking for. We feel blessed to be able to assist others in bringing their family and friends together to enjoy their time together.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This beautiful spacious lake home is so unique in how many can sleep there. Being able to have 20 people all be in a bed is a game changer. As large as the home is, it feels cozy. There is almost nothing you need that you won't find there. Our goal is to make this the best place you have ever stayed!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

You will find a biking/hiking trail right across the street from our drive way that leads to Sibley State Park. This is a beautiful park worth checking out. There is also a golf course in neighboring Spicer and many family friendly activities to enjoy. Not to mention amazing restaurants to check out.
