Paradise on Diamond (avec maison d'hĂŽtes, spa et dortoir)

Nous aimons appeler ce paradis! La cabine principale comprend un solarium pour l'observation des oiseaux et foyer en pierre. Magnifiquement amĂ©nagĂ© avec foyer, balançoire et terrasse donnant sur le lac. La maison d'hĂŽtes comprend un bain Ă  remous, une salle de jeux et une terrasse privĂ©e. Bunkhouse est idĂ©al pour les enfants ou ceux qui veulent la vie privĂ©e. Tous les trois ont la chaleur, AC et internet et tĂ©lĂ©vision directe. Gazebo a un bain Ă  remous. La pelouse Ă  l'avant est assez grande pour les jeux de gazon ou simplement pour traĂźner. Un canot est fourni avec la location et un ponton est disponible Ă  la location. La pĂȘche du brochet, le dorĂ© et la perchaude sont bonnes Ă  droite sur le quai. Nager sur l'extrĂ©mitĂ© du quai ou tout simplement la tĂȘte dans le coin pour la plage publique de sable. Les installations comprennent deux cuisines complĂštes, une tĂ©lĂ©vision et une connexion Internet directes, trois rĂ©frigĂ©rateurs, deux ensembles de linge Ă  chargement frontal. Les propriĂ©taires, Mark et Kathy, vivent de l'autre cĂŽtĂ© de la route dans ce qu'on appelle la "cabine de curiositĂ©" oĂč vous et votre famille pouvez vivre une expĂ©rience de peinture ou de musique gratuite. Nous nous rĂ©jouissons de votre sĂ©jour! Nous accordons des pauses pour les longs sĂ©jours et ne facturons pas de frais supplĂ©mentaires pour le nettoyage. Mark was very accommodating and the cabins had space for everyone and the place was beautiful with a great view of the lake. The pontoon, hot tub and game room big key features that we loved.Everyone should check out curiosity cabin it’s a really cool and inspiring place to explore for kids and adults! My kids loved all the friendly dogs in the area too! 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Our contact person, Mark, was easy to communicate with before arrival and during our stay. The property is amazing, something for everyone. Our kids & grands loved it. This vacay was to celebrate our 50th. We fished off the dock, took the kids to the public beach, went for pontoon rides (our kids rented Mark’s), cornhole, shuffleboard, air hockey, went into Spicer to the go carts,etc. , enjoyed the hot tub. Each family took a turn at making dinner. Mark & Julie are very accomadating.

We had a great time at Paradise! We had 7 people in our group including a toddler. The property is beautiful, and the owners have created a special experience here. The owner was very nice and extremely responsive. The firepit is amazing. We enjoyed the hummingbirds and other birds visiting the feeders. The gameroom is great and so much fun for a rainy day. We rented the pontoon and enjoyed the lake. Kitchen is well stocked with pots. Pans, baking dishes, measuring cups- all you need to cook meals. Everything was clean and neatly organized There is just the right amount of privacy, while still being a short distance to stores for supplies or restaurants to visit. One of my favorite things were the games that were hand made that were located around the cabin, like royal rummy- they added such a special touch.

Family vacation

Nice place if you’re looking for a busy neighborhood and entertainment for kids (age 10) in the guest house. Air hockey is hard to play due to puck getting stuck in the plywood. Hot tub was nice but very strong chemical smell- and couldn’t stay in long. Teens had fun fishing off the dock and taking bike trails. Only 1 kayak was available and was missing a plug. Fire pit is extremely deep and not easy to have a fire outside. Birds were fun to watch- tons of chipmunks running everywhere. Massage beds/beds extremely uncomfortable. Kitchen supplies were very basic- be sure to pack Tupperware, tinfoil, ect. Bathrooms only include shampoo/conditioner. Be sure to pack all bathroom necessities. Kitchen had leaking water consistently on the floor and into the dinning area if not kept dry with towels. Hidden fake rat was an unpleasant surprise. Uncomfortable feeling in main bedroom with windows facing directly into the owners place. Site stated they stayed there on the weekends. Owner was there our whole stay and we felt like we were always being watched. Owner was very nice but overly communicative. Teen boys enjoyed curiosity cabin band. This may be a great place for some families.

A great weekend stay

We had a great time over Labor Day weekend. House was well appointed and comfortable. There was plenty of space for us all to spread out. Game room and hot tub were awesome! Mark was a great host. I highly recommend stopping over at the Curiosity Cabin. Mark gave us a painting lesson, it was very fun! Can't wait to go back again

Paradise for sure

We had our two children and our five grandkids, and it was truly a memorable experience for us all. Probably the best part was Curiosity Cabin. Mark had the grandkids form a band. He taught them how to play the drums, guitar, tamborine,piano, and even an instrument that you didn't even have to touch to play! He also had the kids make a painting that turned out wonderful. They were very proud to take it home. Their curiosity was definitely peaked! The Gameroom was a big hit for the kids and adults alike. The bonfires and sunsets were magical. Everything was as represented. We brought our pontoon and the only downside of bringing your own boat is that Mark requires that it be taken out each night which was a bit of a hassle. Otherwise, we enjoyed Paradise and the memories that were created.

Annual Family Summer Getaway

We stayed with our adult son and daughter and their families (10 total). It was great to have the various areas, for both hanging out and sleeping, with younger children. Great for multi-age group!

We had a group of 12 stay at Mark’s place on Diamond Lake. He was very accommodating to our group as we all came from different directions meeting for a long weekend family gathering. We were able to fit 8 vehicles with space across at Mark’s place. And you must visit his Curiosity Cabin. He jammed with my 12yr old son on the drums and piano and handed our nephew a fancy bass guitar to play, who had never held a guitar before but now wants to take lessons! Mark’s energy and friendliness was enjoyed. The rain kept us off the lake at times but we throughly enjoyed the game room and hot tub. Great spaces over all for large groups, elementary ages, high school, college, young adult, middle age up to grandma at 71. We all enjoyed our time!

Paradise stay

Overall we were very pleased with our stay. This is a very nice location. Many games to play for both young and old. Many amenities with a cozy cabin, guesthouse and bunkhouse. Host was very generous and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place.

So much variety for all ages.

We 6 adults hardly had to entertain our teenagers as there was so much to do. The game room kept them so busy we hardly saw them except at eating times. As adults, there was the pontoon, the hot tub, the deck overlooking the lakes beautiful views, fishing, leisurely walks down the road, and endless board and lawn games to play. Nearby towns like Spicer and Willmar gave us grocery shopping and places to eat and hang out. The Curiosity Cabin was a fun place to jam guitar, and drums with the owner. This was a wonderful place to spend the week. So relaxing !

Bachelor Party in Paradise

Awesome place to have a bachelor party with the buddies. We had a group of 9 and was just a blast to be on the lake. The amenities made it a great place to escape and have a great boys weekend.

Great lake front location.

Nice accommodations and fun game room. 4 generations enjoyed a great vacation. The owners are very nice and helpful. You do need to be careful on the stairs to the loft. The railing does not extend the entire length and the stairs are quite “squeaky “. There are lots of games for all ages. Fun place.

Look forward to a future visit

We actually had to cancel at the last minute, after our Mom was hospitalized. But the property owners were great at communication and went above and beyond to try to make their sailboat available for our stay. We appreciate it and look forward to a future stay.

I can’t say enough about Paradise on Diamond. Far enough away, yet close to everything. If you are in to fishing, there are so many good lakes in the area you won’t be disappointed. Plenty of room for parking boats. People in the area are so friendly. We had a family and friends of ages 14 to 73 and something to do for everyone. Game night was fun and also the game room was a blast had by all. For myself, I enjoyed my coffee by the fire pit overlooking Diamond Lake when I wasn’t fishing of course. As for the Host of our stay was Mark and Kathy. They were perfect for quick response for any questions we had. The Curiosity Cabin was amazing. Mark is so talented and takes pride in everything he does. Got us playing music in a short time and some of it sounded really good. I highly recommend this place to have some downtime and relax with Family and Friends. Thank you Mark and Kathy for a great week. Your friend from Missouri, Don😎

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I have been working on this property for almost twenty years! What I initially loved about was the privacy and relaxing atmosphere. It's not called "Paradise" for nothing!
One of our guests said it best. "It's a charming traditional wood cabin with modern amenities!"

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Because the property has three separate buildings for sleeping it is more private than most. If you like woodsy rooms, there is plenty here. The property on the lakeside of the cabin is tiered into three levels. It's just lush! Set up for a relaxing getaway.
