Paradise on Diamond (avec maison d'hĂŽtes, spa et dortoir)

Nous aimons appeler ce paradis! La cabine principale comprend un solarium pour l'observation des oiseaux et foyer en pierre. Magnifiquement amĂ©nagĂ© avec foyer, balançoire et terrasse donnant sur le lac. La maison d'hĂŽtes comprend un bain Ă  remous, une salle de jeux et une terrasse privĂ©e. Bunkhouse est idĂ©al pour les enfants ou ceux qui veulent la vie privĂ©e. Tous les trois ont la chaleur, AC et internet et tĂ©lĂ©vision directe. Gazebo a un bain Ă  remous. La pelouse Ă  l'avant est assez grande pour les jeux de gazon ou simplement pour traĂźner. Un canot est fourni avec la location et un ponton est disponible Ă  la location. La pĂȘche du brochet, le dorĂ© et la perchaude sont bonnes Ă  droite sur le quai. Nager sur l'extrĂ©mitĂ© du quai ou tout simplement la tĂȘte dans le coin pour la plage publique de sable. Les installations comprennent deux cuisines complĂštes, une tĂ©lĂ©vision et une connexion Internet directes, trois rĂ©frigĂ©rateurs, deux ensembles de linge Ă  chargement frontal. Les propriĂ©taires, Mark et Kathy, vivent de l'autre cĂŽtĂ© de la route dans ce qu'on appelle la "cabine de curiositĂ©" oĂč vous et votre famille pouvez vivre une expĂ©rience de peinture ou de musique gratuite. Nous nous rĂ©jouissons de votre sĂ©jour! Nous accordons des pauses pour les longs sĂ©jours et ne facturons pas de frais supplĂ©mentaires pour le nettoyage. Family vacation

We have a large family of 11 from age 7-43. We enjoyed our stay very much! We rented the pontoon and enjoyed a beach day. Game room and hot tub were used a lot! We had a great time!

Annual Family Summer Getaway

We stayed with our adult son and daughter and their families (10 total). It was great to have the various areas, for both hanging out and sleeping, with younger children. The pontoon boat was a great option for our larger group. Thank you, Mark, for your hospitality. It was great to meet you and your family!

Amazing weekend getaway

Mark is an excellent host and the property was fantastic, all of the beds and rooms were clean comfortable. The outdoor spaces and the game room was so fantastic. We had a great time and would definitely recommend and stay again!

Great place to stay

Our family of twelve thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were enough beds, the property is well-maintained, and Mark is a super host. We also rented the pontoon; it worked perfectly and we had a lot of fun on the water. We would definitely stay here again!

Paradise stay

Overall we were very pleased with our stay. This is a very nice location. Many games to play for both young and old. Many amenities with a cozy cabin, guesthouse and bunkhouse. Host was very generous and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place.

Bachelor Party in Paradise

Awesome place to have a bachelor party with the buddies. We had a group of 9 and was just a blast to be on the lake. The amenities made it a great place to escape and have a great boys weekend.

This was an amazing experience. The property is beautiful. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. Having the pontoon available was a huge bonus. And the Curiosity Cabin was also a huge bonus. We will definitely be returning.

Great location, nice home. Everything was great and I would’ve given a 5 star except the owner lived next door and kept micro-managing. Which made our stay a little bit discomforting.

Paradise for sure

We had our two children and our five grandkids, and it was truly a memorable experience for us all. Probably the best part was Curiosity Cabin. Mark had the grandkids form a band. He taught them how to play the drums, guitar, tamborine,piano, and even an instrument that you didn't even have to touch to play! He also had the kids make a painting that turned out wonderful. They were very proud to take it home. Their curiosity was definitely peaked! The Gameroom was a big hit for the kids and adults alike. The bonfires and sunsets were magical. Everything was as represented. We brought our pontoon and the only downside of bringing your own boat is that Mark requires that it be taken out each night which was a bit of a hassle. Otherwise, we enjoyed Paradise and the memories that were created.

So much variety for all ages.

We 6 adults hardly had to entertain our teenagers as there was so much to do. The game room kept them so busy we hardly saw them except at eating times. As adults, there was the pontoon, the hot tub, the deck overlooking the lakes beautiful views, fishing, leisurely walks down the road, and endless board and lawn games to play. Nearby towns like Spicer and Willmar gave us grocery shopping and places to eat and hang out. The Curiosity Cabin was a fun place to jam guitar, and drums with the owner. This was a wonderful place to spend the week. So relaxing !

Exactly as advertised and pictured

Our family of 9 just returned home from a 4 night stay at this cabin. It was exactly as described. Spotlessly clean with a definite 'cabin in the woods' vibe. Just about everything one might need is provided, from kitchen tools and dishes, to paper products, to bath/beach towels. Two sets of washer/dryers, detergent, extra cots, lawn games, flashlights, plenty of bedding, a gaming system, a baby gate and stroller, an air pump and more - the place is very well provided! We used all three cabins - 4 in the main, 3 in the guest and 2 in the bunkhouse. Each was equally clean and inviting.The bathrooms were very nice and well stocked with oodles of towels, toilet paper and tissues. Plenty of hot water! Diamond Lake is a nice lake - the water was clear and the the bottom not muddy. Perfect for kayaking (we brought our own). Around the dock area the bottom was very weedy - felt like walking on thick shag carpet. The water around the dock was not deep - maybe 3-4 feet. We did not use the pontoon boat, but it looked very nice. The firepit area was our favorite. The owners provided ample firewood and a lighter. We enjoyed a bonfire and smores every night. There was plenty of outdoor seating. The hot tub was equally enjoyed, especially as the weather took a cold turn while we were there. There is a big basket of towels next to the hot tub - very convenient! Like the rest of the house, it was very clean. The yard is obviously well maintained with very attractive landscaping and fun little outdoor decorations. The lawns are green and well manicured. Overall it is a very nice property. You can tell that the owners really care about it, and work hard to keep it in pristine condition for guests. Several suggestions for future hosting: 1. A half bath somewhere on the main floor of the guest house, or bunkhouse. The only downstairs bathroom is in the main house. Kids sleeping either in the bunkhouse or in the downstairs level of the guest house may find it difficult to get to the bathroom at night. 2. A dock ladder. The dock is really high - about 3 feet above the water, and there is no ladder. The shoreline is brushy and rocky with no clear access to get into the lake. There is a ladder on the pontoon boat, but it also is very high - I am 5'7" and fit, and found it very difficult to get up. We had to lift the kids up and down with difficulty. 3. Screen in the hot tub gazebo. Too steamy inside to keep windows closed, but the bugs at night were terrible.

A great weekend stay

We had a great time over Labor Day weekend. House was well appointed and comfortable. There was plenty of space for us all to spread out. Game room and hot tub were awesome! Mark was a great host. I highly recommend stopping over at the Curiosity Cabin. Mark gave us a painting lesson, it was very fun! Can't wait to go back again

Great for multi-age group!

We had a group of 12 stay at Mark’s place on Diamond Lake. He was very accommodating to our group as we all came from different directions meeting for a long weekend family gathering. We were able to fit 8 vehicles with space across at Mark’s place. And you must visit his Curiosity Cabin. He jammed with my 12yr old son on the drums and piano and handed our nephew a fancy bass guitar to play, who had never held a guitar before but now wants to take lessons! Mark’s energy and friendliness was enjoyed. The rain kept us off the lake at times but we throughly enjoyed the game room and hot tub. Great spaces over all for large groups, elementary ages, high school, college, young adult, middle age up to grandma at 71. We all enjoyed our time!

Great lake front location.

Nice accommodations and fun game room. 4 generations enjoyed a great vacation. The owners are very nice and helpful. You do need to be careful on the stairs to the loft. The railing does not extend the entire length and the stairs are quite “squeaky “. There are lots of games for all ages. Fun place.

Look forward to a future visit

We actually had to cancel at the last minute, after our Mom was hospitalized. But the property owners were great at communication and went above and beyond to try to make their sailboat available for our stay. We appreciate it and look forward to a future stay.

Daydream Believer

I can’t say enough about Paradise on Diamond. Far enough away, yet close to everything. If you are in to fishing, there are so many good lakes in the area you won’t be disappointed. Plenty of room for parking boats. People in the area are so friendly. We had a family and friends of ages 14 to 73 and something to do for everyone. Game night was fun and also the game room was a blast had by all. For myself, I enjoyed my coffee by the fire pit overlooking Diamond Lake when I wasn’t fishing of course. As for the Host of our stay was Mark and Kathy. They were perfect for quick response for any questions we had. The Curiosity Cabin was amazing. Mark is so talented and takes pride in everything he does. Got us playing music in a short time and some of it sounded really good. I highly recommend this place to have some downtime and relax with Family and Friends. Thank you Mark and Kathy for a great week. Your friend from Missouri, Don😎

Great Winter Getaway

This was great! We started a tradition of going “up north” after Christmas to find a place where we could just hang out as a family. This fit the bill perfectly! We loved the fireplace and the hot tub! The game room was fantastic! They had just installed a REALLY cool device to play lots of the old ATARI and Nintendo games from the 80s and 90s. My husband went out and played PAC-man every day! Mark and Kathy were very welcoming and friendly when we first arrived and gave us some minimal instructions on the game We would definitely go back again and would definitely recommend!

Family Joy

This property was very suited to our needs Clean and so much to do. When a month before our sons fiancee asked if they could be married there, IT worked out beautifully! The owners were so gracious and kind to allow it to happen there. We booked for 10 people and had 19 additional guests for wedding and lunch. The guests were all very impressed with the property and I am sure there will be future reservations!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I have been working on this property for almost twenty years! What I initially loved about was the privacy and relaxing atmosphere. It's not called "Paradise" for nothing!
One of our guests said it best. "It's a charming traditional wood cabin with modern amenities!"

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Because the property has three separate buildings for sleeping it is more private than most. If you like woodsy rooms, there is plenty here. The property on the lakeside of the cabin is tiered into three levels. It's just lush! Set up for a relaxing getaway.
