Wonderful accommodations!

The accommodations offered a beautiful and peaceful view. All on site staff we’re extremely helpful. The owner was extremely responsive to any concerns. I would definitely book again. I was in town for a Golf Channel golf tournament. Everything I needed including the course was just a short drive away. I had a wonderful stay.

Family Time

Casual Week

My wife and I stayed at the condo for eight nights. It was very spacious and was in a good location being walking distance to the pool and beach. Overall the resort was very quiet during the whole week except at the end which was Easter weekend which was a busy holiday in the DR. Even with the influx of people it was still very quiet compared to resorts in the US. API beach bar was one our favorite restaurants and the service staff was really excellent. We visited several evenings and they took great care of us every night! We also took a short cab ride to the other side of the Marina where there were also a couple other great restaurants including Nakamura. It is located in the brand new Casino. If you like Asian food and sushi this one is not to miss. We couldn't believe how quiet it was...there should have been a line out the door. Overall it was a very relaxing week and I would recommend the condo and the area. Evelyn was very easy to work with and very responsive.

Nothing to do, items were not in working order

The condo is spacious and well decorated; however, it is very hard to find and the concierge nor any help speaks English. If it would not have been for neighboring guests we would have missed a lot of the beauty of Cap Cana. The Marina is beautiful but the beach is very hard sand and the water is not as clear as other Caribbean isles. The hot tub did not work nor the jetted tubs. The maids number did not work and the owner is not local.Hot water is limited. Very poor construction, we even had a leak from the top floor. We never found the bike and kayak rentals. The development is not finished and completely empty. Restaurants and shopping areas are closed and you have to go to different parts of the development for meals. You must have a car! If you enjoy warm weather and a book you will enjoy the spacious unit. If you have children or like close activities I would not recommend this development. I normally do not give bad reviews but feel guests should know of my experience. If you are not fluent in Spanish, good luck.

Well appointed marina apartment with great location

My wife, mother and I rented this apartment for a week in February. The apartment was well appointed with everything we needed for our vacation. We had a couple of small hitches but nothing to upset our vacation (electrical problems when we arrived were fixed within the day, the Internet went out mid-trip and never returned). The Cap Cana Marina area is a great place to be close to amenities yet in a quiet, low-traffic area. Our mornings began looking over the water, then after a breakfast sitting out on the veranda, we would read and relax outside before making our way to the closest beach for the afternoon. Evelyn gave us much information to make our trip better, and was a good host. We look forward to returning.

Beautiful!

FULL LUXURY!

If you need tranquility and luxury this is the place for you. Better than the pictures! We stayed at Aquamarina 1022 between Dec 28-Jan08 and we LOVED it! Enjoying each day more and more. The unit is simply amazing, with its brilliant design, beautiful finishing’s and attention to detail only to please the most demanding guest.The morning coffee and an evening glass of wine at the terrace overlooking the marina were priceless. We loved the fact we can relax at the beach with minimal crowds, hoping that place remains that way, quite unique comparing to all-inclusive resorts. If you like to prepare your meals at the fully equipped and beautiful kitchen, the Nacional supermarket have all you need from basic groceries, incl. milk, eggs, water, coffee bread, cheese, ham butter, fruits and a choice of good spanish wines, next to other liqueurs.There are other options to dine: Il Cappuccino Restaurant and Aquamare both in the Founders Residences; and La Arroceria Valenciana and Xoxolati in Fishing Lodge. Juanillo Beach - a gorgeous, secluded and beautiful! There is beach bar/ restaurant with cabanas and beach lounge sofas. The food is a bit pricy, but the area is luxurious and beautiful. We were a bit surprised all car rental companies were simply overbooked (Christmas and New year) and a reserved and guaranteed well in advance was simply not available. Well, it proved to be a good thing after all giving us the chance to explore more on foot. We thank the owner for taking such a care of the visitors. We will be coming back! Hasta la próxima!

Best Vacation Ever!

There are no words to explain the relaxation that I experienced here in this place... we stayed for a week, my husband and my two kids, and they also loved it! The condo was just as pictured...very pretty and spacious. The terrace was huge and also beautifully furnished.The kitchen is equipped with anything you could need. The best grocery shopping was right near the airport at the Nacional supermarket. Although it is a 15 minute drive, it is easy to get to and they have a good selection of everything plus they take credit cards! In the same shopping center as the supermarket, there are several other restaurants (the Mexican one was good) plus other shops. We were extremely happy with the condo as it is truly beautiful. Both pools are large and very clean and your able to bring down a cooler and food and eat at the bar. Everyone is so nice at the resort and the people at the concierge speak very good English and are very helpful. Everything about Cap Cana met our expectations and more; the location, the grounds, the views and the staff. After this trip my husband said that he would never stay in hotels again! This is a gem.

Fantastic, peaceful, clean and relaxing

We had a wonderful time staying at Acquamarina 1022 in Cap Cana. The property is more spacious than the pictures do justice. We were 5 people, including 3 children, which was very comfortable in the condo. The location for a relaxing vacation cannot be beat as even during high season, this property feels very secluded. The property grounds include two large swimming pools, two hot tubs, large semi-private beach with coves designed to keep the rough waves away. There are even a number of cabanas available on a first come, first serve basis across the beach, which were wonderful. Absolutely stunning views of the ocean, white beach sand and more. We also really enjoyed the restaurants located in and about the marina property. A nice 5-10 minute walk from the unit with some of the best Italian and local foods you'll find anywhere in Punta or Cap Cana. If you want more action, it is only a 15-20 minute drive to Bavaro area, which has shopping, restaurants, more. There are plenty of activities in the surrounding areas within 10-20 minute drive as well for those who like cave exploration, swimming in natural cenotes, zip lining, dune buggy tours and more. We highly recommend this property if you like space, quiet beaches, and relaxation with a go-at-your-own-pace feeling.

GOOD VALUE. NICE CLEAN BEACHES,POOLS AND PROPERTY. VERY QUIET. TOO QUIET. MOST SHOPS AND SUCH ARE LOCKED UP. NOT MUCH TO DO. IF LOOKING FOR NICE QUIET VACATION THIS IS AN AWESOME LOCATION. JUST REMEMBER THAT LEAVING THE PLACE FOR ACTIVITIES/FOOD WILL REQUIRE TAXI COSTS/RENTAL CAR. AQM1022: MATTRESS IN MASTER SMELLED OF URINE....WERE TOLD WILL BE STEAM CLEANED NEXT DAY. SO WE DID LAUNDRY THAT NIGHT SO WE CAN SLEEP ON CLEAN SMELLING BED. MANAGER SAID HE WILL ONLY STEAM CLEAN IF WE ARE PRESENT IN THE CONDO. SO WE HAD TO CANCEL OUR PLANS TO MEET HIM AT 1030 AM. CLEANING WAS DONE IN 30 MIN. PILLOWS ARE STAINED WITH SWEAT ETC. SO WE JUST TRIPLE PILLOW CASED THE PILLOWS. DISH RACK IS RUSTED. THE PROPERTY GROUNDS ARE WELL MAINTAINED

Amazing and gorgeus, 5 Stars property!

Amazing, gorgeous, 5 stars. First let me start off with the owner, Evelyn, is such a nice person. The apartment has everything you need, kitchen , amazing bathrooms, living area, bedrooms, closets, terrace looking to the Marina. We stayed 10 days, and couldn't be happier. We rented a car for 60 a day that's including insurance. Drove all over the next town Bavaro, go to Juanillo Beach breath taking, great restaurant on beach. Take a taxi to Noah restaurant next to supermarket , delicious, also the Punta Cana Village great supermarket and adorable shops, restaurants. So sad to be back in NYC.. Next time we go I am staying for a month. Make this place your home, and people who work at this development are the nicest. Don't pack to much, bathing suits and dress for dinner casual is ok. You will love it!

Great Condominum

There were two adults and two children in our party. The condominium is really nice with plenty of room. The condominium is part of a larger complex, which is part of the Cap Cana community. It is somewhat "secluded" from the Punta Cana community. You will need a car to get around the complex and to visit other parts of Punta Cana. If not, taxi rides could be tedious and expensive. The unit itself is spacious. One of the reasons I did not give it a five-star rating is because there were a few "minor" issues with the unit, indicating it needed updating or TLC. But, these were minor issues and overall the accommodations were excellent. Also, we travelled during the off-season when there appeared to be a lot of maintenance work being completed for the upcoming busy season and not a lot of tourists or residents. We thought the solitude was a good thing. We ate on the premises the first day and then used the great kitchen to cook breakfast and dinners. We usually ate out for lunch. There is a super market near the Punta Cana Village that we highly recommend guests use to stock the kitchen for the week(s). While this was not the fault of the owners, but contributed to a four-star rating is that the beach had an awful "sewage-like" smell that Sunday-Wednesday and the Concierge Desk had stated that this was typical during this time of year (August). This smell was attributed to a lot of dead sea weed. We did notice that by Thursday, with the crowds picking up, the dead seaweed was being cleaned from the Beach and we could enjoy postcard picture beaches and swimming. Evelyn was very responsive to any of our questions, which was very helpful. Overall, this was a good trip. As other guests have suggested, I strongly recommend you get a car. Also, the Concierge desk was extremely helpful. We had kids and found Cap Cana Scape Park, which is part of the community, a lot of fun. Overall a thumbs up.

Great Vacation

Our family of 6 just returned from a wonderful vacation here. The entire week was relaxing and quiet. We enjoyed many hours on the beach nearby which was practically empty. Another day we went to Juanillo beach and loved the atmosphere there - food and drinks available, great beach set up. What was originally going to be a couple hours turned into six hours there. Took a tour with Outback Safari and zip lined at the Scape Park. I would recommend renting a car. Cap Cana is huge and while you can take a shuttle around Cap Cana ($3/person each way) or rent golf carts (for 4 people and only until 5), we found it easier to have a car. Really enjoyed eating at the Blue Marlin and Jellyfish Restaurant plus going into Punta Cana Village for some less expensive dinners. The unit itself is very large and well equipped. With its view of the marina, the balcony is a great place for reading and playing cards. Highly recommend!

Great condo!

My family and I decided to go to the Dominican Republic for this years family vacation. After lots of research, I stumbled upon this amazing condo on VRBO. It's a huge condo that my family of 4 truly enjoyed staying at. The pictures are exactly what you will see once you enter the condo and complex. Evelyn was truly a pleasure to deal with from the beginning, during, end, and after our stay. Transportation recommended by Evelyn was Rafael from Sol Cana Tours. They picked us up from the airport and brought us back when it was time to leave and provided great service. We did 2 tours with Sol Cana (private tour of Santo Domingo and Higuey) which were amazing and of great value. Our tour guide Felix was very knowledgeable and informative at Santo Domingo, and our driver Arlington for both Santo Domingo and Higuey was very safe, funny, and kind. I highly recommend their services do not hesitate to email Rafael and book some tours with him. Rafael, Evelyn, and Leonardo (manager) all made our stay very easy, comfortable, and fun! Cap Cana is a great location that is very quiet, has friendly staff, and safe. The restaurants at Cap Cana are also really good (we ate at Il Cappuccino, Club Aquamare, Il Portico, La Palapa by Eden Roc, and Juanillo Beach food & drinks.) We did Ziplining and the Hoyo Azul eco tour at Scape Park (inside Cap Cana) which were lots of fun that I also highly recommend. Other tours we did and highly recommend are Outback Safari Adventures and Saona Island (Seavis tours.) Supermarket is close by, which makes it easy to purchase supplies for the condo. We rented a car for part of our stay and were able to browse other areas of the DR like the Bavaro area (we ate at the Jellyfish Restaurant, which was really good!) In the end we didn't want to leave! This place is truly a piece paradise that we highly recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat if we ever come to Punta Cana again! The apartment has the best of both worlds the peace and tranquility of the beachside and the activities and liveliness of the Marina. Its location in a second floor provides privacy to all the guest.
