Leave your worries behind and join Sasquatch at his HideOut. Take in the great views to the north from the large deck and enjoy dinner on the deck in the screened-in area. Quiet, easy living, snoozing on the deck then dining and grilling outside is the plan for the day.
Inside the cozy cabin offers 2 bedrooms, each with king-size beds. 2 baths, and an open living area all on one level. The bedrooms and baths are on opposite sides of the living area to give lots of privacy to all. Each bathroom has been renovated with a tiled walk-in shower.
Gather together by the wood-burning stove in the cooler months while sharing in food preparations in the well-equipped kitchen. Fiber internet for all your devices and a streaming TV to watch a game, or listen to your favorite tunes. In warmer months enjoy the coolness of the cabin with the sunny days just outside the door.
Sasquatch welcomes all, whether it is a romantic getaway for two. A besties couple's getaway, or a family gathering. Sassy Q says “come on! Enjoy, relax, connect, and hide out with me for a while”.
Sasquatch HideOut is minutes from many wineries and breweries. Some wine tours will pick up your group at the cabin, or nearby. Ask for details.
Easy drive to the Alpine town of Helen, GA. Great hiking trails, kayak input just a few miles down the road, and world-renown trout fishing are around the corner. HideOut in the beautiful North Georgia mountains with many conveniences minutes away.

Beautiful View

The home and view were absolutely beautiful. The owners need to replace HVAC to accommodate all weather. Temps in the house dropped below 62 degrees - due to mechanical problems with the HVAC. Alternative heating included a wood burning stove ( which none of us were comfortable using- even though owners had provided a 3 page instructions) and one radiant heater - owner also suggested turning oven on low - and opening oven door to help heat up the main room. If we could have been warm - it would have been a much better experience. Instead we had on 3 layers of clothing - even to sleep at night. Lastly, the town of Helen was beautiful and a nice experience.

We have gone to helen area 20 something years, this is in the top 3, clean, great views everything worked. We like to walk and hike the road was definitely a hike we loved it.

Wonderful cabin with fantastic views!

Loved spending time on the outdoor fenced deck (as did our dog) and we also enjoyed the firepit. It was a very relaxing stay, being outside with a fantastic view of Mt. Yonah and some warm beverages during some cold winter weather was just what we needed. Close to Helen, many hiking trails and restaurants. Anna Ruby Falls was beautiful. We actually saw some deer at the cabin, during our stay. The cabin was warm, inviting, cozy and well equipped. Highly recommend!

The cabin is secluded, quiet, and peaceful. The views are just like described in the description. Location is just far enough out of town to be convenient. Host was super nice and helpful. I highly recommend this property.

Great Time in Helen

My friend and I wanted to visit Helen and we stayed in this cabin for the weekend. The cabin is well kept, cozy, comfortable and the view from the deck is beautiful. It was very close to downtown Helen. We had a wonderful time and Louise is a great host! We will definitely stay here on our next visit to Helen.

We’ll be back!

My parents and I (and our dog) absolutely loved our stay at Sasquatch Hideout and should have extended our stay, we didn’t want to leave! The view from the deck was breathtaking, our mornings were spent there with coffee and cocoa enjoying the serenity and the view. The house exceeded our expectations (those mattresses are amazing!). It had everything we needed, the location is close to many activities but also secluded in a beautiful neighborhood. Louise was a great host and the checkin process was a breeze. We can’t wait to stay here again.

Great getaway

We enjoyed our stay in the mountains in the fall. The colors were beautiful. It was a good location to many things we had planned to do. I was expecting a little newer place from the pictures, so I think the pictures of the house may have been taken when it was newer. You may want to get a new coffee pot. It didn’t work correctly and the mattress on one of the beds needs replacing. There was no coffee which is usually provided at most rentals, at least for the first day. I was having a hard time getting the emails to open due to having to have a code. Impossible from a phone, but Louise texted me with the information needed to get in. She was very nice.

Great Stay

This was a great cabin with beautiful views! Everything we needed was there. The beds were super comfortable, and the showers were great. We had no problems whatsoever. We would definitely stay there again! PS The Corner Grill and Catering was a delicious place to eat breakfast.

Mountain View Getaway

Chose this listing based on the pics and reviews, and it did not disappoint. The mountain views were gorgeous. The outside decks were a little messy with fallen leaves and spider webs (to be expected in the mts), but the screened porch was lovely for morning coffee. The house was clean and well furnished, and the split bedroom plan with two en-suites was perfect. We did encounter a problem with a shower leak and brought it to the owner’s attention, who acknowledged she would correct the problem. Maneuvering the steep driveway was not as hard as we thought it would be based on previous reviews, and the carport was a plus. The location was convenient to everything we wanted to see. Would recommend this VRBO to anyone wanting to visit the Helen area.

Loved the outdoor living space. Spent most of our visit out there. Great Mountain Views. Quiet neighborhood! House was well stocked with essentials. Very clean !! Comfortable king beds ! Close to activities. Would definitely stay here again !

Nice Home. Only a very short drive to town.

This property is great! It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The linens smelled so fresh and clean. I loved that! We enjoyed lounging on on the deck under the sun. The neighborhood is quiet and there is even winery towards the end of the street. The owners were very thoughtful. There was a booklet with places to eat and there were also a few stocked spices in the kitchen. There are also free herbal tea samples. The bathrooms were nice and clean and also came with stocked items like mouth wash and shampoo. This is also a great place for a couples getaway. Definitely will stay here again when visiting the area.

Wonderful Cabin in a Lovely Location!!

This cabin and location is just perfect for a quiet getaway. The host is attentive and responsive! The property is well maintained and has everything you need. The outdoor porch is wonderful for morning coffee and evening wine. Serenity Cellars down the road is just an added bonus. It is easy to get to everything near by. It was a wonderful weekend in a wonderful location. I would not stay anywhere else. Thanks so much!!

Perfect House

I actually have no complaints about the house. The view, the set up, the amenities… all great. Super close to Helen and lots of hiking options. We loved making a fire and watching the stars each night.

Hoping to see a meteor shower

We came up to north Georgia in hopes of seeing a meteor shower. We chose this cabin as it had a good view of the night sky and you could see well above the tree canopy. The pictures on VRBO show a great view, however the pictures don't do it justice. It is nothing less than amazing! The home was very clean and comfortable, including the beds. The layout of the house is perfect for two couples as the king bedrooms are at opposite ends of the living area. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils, pots and pans. Louise, the owner was quick to reply to questions and gracious to allow us to check in early. We didn't see any meteors, but we did get to sit out in the screened-in deck area and enjoy a nice thunder storm. Hoping to come back and try it the next time there are meteors forecasted.

Perfect spot for two couples!

Cute little spot that provided everything we needed for a fun little get away! Nice view off the back deck, quiet area, close to everything you want to do but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. We loved the stocked kitchen where we were able to cook a majority of the meals. There is a nice large screened in porch that helps keeps the bugs at bay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would rent again!

Beautifully peaceful!

What a comfortable well laid out house. The view is beautiful and the surroundings are peaceful. The location is conveniently close to towns and sights. The house came with some supplies and was well equipped. Highly recommend this mountain retreat.
