I have never had a guest like this one. It was numerous messages and a phone call before arrival about information in the listing. I was on the phone with her for over an hour listening to how she doesn't get along with her husband and other personal matters. She requested balloons be left for her grandson, and I obliged. I let her check in early at no extra charge. Her first complaint came at 12:30 am, full of racial slurs and complaints about children playing in the common area. I responded that I had never heard these complaints. The second message was replied with "What would you like me to do?" and "I can send the cleaning service over." I got no reply. I was not sent any pictures or videos of her complaints. I have a Wildwood Crest rental license so my condo is inspected yearly. I have a maintenance person who I call for our condo. In return, I received many complaints about the guest continually cigarette smoking, drinking, and marijuana smoking in the common area around children, I understand it is legal in New Jersey but use discretion. They called VRBO and said they were leaving a day early, requesting a full refund. They didn't go, stayed past checkout, and left the place a mess. There was trash, and food in the refrigerator, on the stove, and in the sink. The back door was left open and a screen ripped. They smoked inside the condo and the smell was awful. VRBO was sent pictures and I was told to add a charge to their stay. I am a Premier Host with VRBO and my other reviews support that. I have guests who come yearly to our place. We have a second personal home in the Crest and are around most of the summer.
