Rustic 2BR Summer Cabin Getaway with Stunning Mountain Views
Hamden Hill House â Cozy, Accessible, and Full of Charm
Hamden Hill House is a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom cabin that sits on 8 acres of rolling meadows and forest. With stunning valley and mountain views, authentic stone walls, apple trees, and a frog pond, itâs the peaceful upstate getaway you've been looking for.
At just 900 square feet, this intimate retreat is cheerful, welcoming, and designed for comfort. Itâs the perfect match for couples, families, or small groups looking to reconnect and recharge.
Great Location with Total Privacy
Located only 4.6 miles from the charming town of Hamden and 8.1 miles from Delhi, this home offers both quiet seclusion and easy access to restaurants, shops, and conveniences. Wedding venues, hiking trails, and seasonal events are all within a short drive.
Tucked away on a quiet country road, youâll feel miles from everythingâwhile still being close to everything you need.
Easy Access Year-Round
A short gravel driveway with a gentle incline brings you to the house. In the winter months (OctoberâApril), we keep the driveway plowed and shoveled to the door, but we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles when snow is likely.
Accessibility Features
Hamden Hill House is step-free and accessible, making it a comfortable choice for all guests. A wraparound deck has both stairs and a ramp for easy entry.
Inside, the home is all on one level. The bathroom includes a walk-in shower and a grab bar beside the toilet. (Door width measurements available upon request.)
Bright, Open Living Space
The front of the cabin features a wall of windows that tracks the sun throughout the day, filling the space with natural light. Both sliding glass doors open to allow in a fresh summer breeze.
An open floor plan makes the home feel spacious and social. The kitchen, dining, and living areas flow together, making it easy to cook, gather, and relax.
Dining & Remote Work Friendly
The dining table comfortably seats everyone for meals and also doubles as a desk with a viewâperfect for remote work or virtual school sessions.
In colder months, a propane Jotul fireplace adds warmth and ambience, making the cabin feel extra cozy.
Bedrooms & Bathroom
The two bedrooms are located at the back of the house for privacy and quiet. One shared bathroom features a walk-in shower, toilet grab bar, and easy access for all guests.
The bedrooms are simple and comfortableâjust what you need for restful sleep after a day in the fresh Catskills air.
Outdoor Living
Enjoy the view from the wraparound deck or have a meal outdoors under the string lights. A charcoal grill and outdoor dining set create the perfect spot for summer evenings.
The yard next to the home offers plenty of space for kids to play or to spread out a picnic blanket.
Explore the Property
Winding trails throughout the 8-acre property invite you to walk, run, snowshoe, or cross-country ski. There are perfect spots for sledding in winter or sunbathing in summer.
The setting is both pastoral and energizingâideal for afternoon naps in the grass, quiet meditation, or spontaneous outdoor games.
Before You Book â What to Know
We want your stay to be smooth, relaxing, and enjoyable. Please take a moment to review the following important notes before booking:
Quiet Hours & Neighbor Respect
We love our neighborsâand we know you will too! Please keep outdoor noise to a minimum after 9 PM, especially around the fire pit or deck. Letâs help preserve the peacefulness that makes this community so special.
Check-In & Support
Check-in: After 4 PM
Check-out: By 11 AM
Early or late check-in may be available for an added fee with at least 24 hoursâ notice. Same-day requests cannot be guaranteed due to cleaning schedules.
Weâre available by phone or email if anything arises. Please note that this is a private homeânot a hotelâso response times may vary slightly, but weâll do our best to assist you promptly.
Important Travel Info
There is no cell service at the house. Please enable WiFi calling on your phone before arrival to make and receive calls over the internet.
We recommend saving or writing down key check-in detailsâlike the address, door code, WiFi info, and host contact numbersâin case you lose signal while traveling.
A vehicle is required to get around. There are no ride-share services (Uber/Lyft) or reliable taxis in this rural area.
Winter Travel Advisory (OctoberâApril)
Delaware County is mountainous and beautifulâespecially in the winterâbut it can be snowy and icy. Please plan accordingly.
We strongly recommend:
AWD, FWD, or 4WD vehicles
Winter or all-season tires with solid tread
Avoiding 2WD or RWD vehicles in snow or icy conditions
The driveway is plowed and maintained in the winter, and a shovel is provided to help you clear walkways if needed.
Country Living Note
This home is located in a rural area, surrounded by nature. While we professionally treat the exterior, insects or mice may occasionally find their way indoorsâespecially in cooler months when they seek warmth.
If you're sensitive to wildlife or critters, this may not be the best fit for your stay.
Water & Septic System
The home runs on a private well and septic system, which is common in rural communities.
Please help us care for it by:
Conserving water during dry spells
Avoiding water games like sprinklers, kiddie pools, or Slip âN Slides
Only flushing toilet paperâno wipes, paper towels, or hygiene products
Misuse can lead to water shortages or costly repairs, so we thank you for your care and consideration.
Pet Friendly
We welcome well-behaved dogs with prior approval and a small pet fee. Sorry, no cats. The open space and fresh air are perfect for your four-legged friend to explore.
Land Use
To help maintain the safety, quiet, and natural beauty of the area, the following are not permitted on the property:
ATVs
Snowmobiles
Fireworks

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
