Lake Daze Escape- Entire Cabin on Barren River Lake!
Beautiful 4-story cabin on the Lake This Lakeside escape is a perfect getaway! Relax on the wrap around porch and double tier deck. Prepare meals in the spacious kitchen or serve in the second half kitchen. Large loft area makes it great for kids or large gatherings! You are 4 miles from Barren River State park and only 33 miles away from Mammoth Cave National Park. There are so many other cool places to visit, if just relaxing on the deck in natureâs beauty should get old. đ
The house was very clean and spacious. Loved the wrap around porch for morning coffee and late night sâmores. Location perfect for our trips to the Barren River and to Mammoth Cave.
The host was very responsive and flexible. We had a family member die after the reservation was made and the property was very accommodating to our needs. Thanks again Randy.
Just did a multi generational family gathering at this cabin. Great place for multiple adults and teens. Beautiful property, be sure to spend plenty of time on the back deck when the rain is falling. Nothing like the sound of rain on a tin roof.
The state park that is less than 10 minutes away was amazing. Mammoth Cave NP is close too!
We had a great family gathering at this wonderful property. The host is very nice and super accommodating! Very clean. Great fire pit and decks. Ample space for the 13 of us. Kids had a great time in the yard and made friends with the horse across the street. House was cosy and well stocked!
We got together with family over the 4th of July holiday, and had a wonderful time! This home had plenty of space, and we enjoyed meals around the large downstairs table, cards and board games around the smaller upstairs table, games in the yard, s'mores around the fire pit, hanging out in the front porch to chat and watch the horse across the road. We spent a day at Mammoth Caves national park, and spent most days at the state park just a short 8 minute drive away, where we enjoyed the beach, tennis, volleyball, basketball, and long hikes.
Beautiful home, very quiet neighborhood. Loved the wrap around porch and layout of home. Wish there had been a lake view but understand the rules. Would definitely go back some time.
My family and my bestfriends family enjoyed a long Labor Day weekend celebrating my bestfriends 50th Birthday. We had so much fun at the cabin and on the lake making wonderful memories.
Our family rented this cabin as a place to stay while in Kentucky for a wedding. We were looking for a place were we could all relax, enjoy family time and share meals together... and this cabin was perfect!! We loved sitting on the porch, playing games and walks to the lake. There was plenty of room for 13 adults to sleep, eat, play games and get ready for a wedding. We didn't even need to use the table downstairs because most of us ate on the porch. The owners were very accessible and accommodating when we had questions! Our family highly recommends this cabin. Thank you Randy and Yvonne for the great weekend!
We had a great time at this relaxing getaway. We spent time in both Nashville and Louisville. It was a great place to relax and just enjoy the beautiful area.
We just completed a three-day, two-night stay at this incredible property, and, could not have had a better experience!
Our family ranged from age 7 to age 62. The five grandchildren had an absolute blast with "their" dedicated loft area. They occupied themselves for hours playing games (when they were not outside enjoying the grounds.)
The adults had a spectacular time as well and enjoyed both the main level as well as the lower level.
Highlights and favorites included:
* The wrap-around deck, and, the tranquil peace and quiet sitting outside early mornings, sipping coffee, and listening to nature slowly wake up
* The fire pit where we enjoyed (thanks to Mother Nature) two rain-free campfires, toasting marshmallows (graciously provided by our hosts), making s'mores, and, just enjoying a brand of fellowship not possible in the city
* Plenty of room in the cabin so that everyone was able to find "together" space or "alone space" in a comfortable, inviting environment
* The huge number of recliners. No one was left out!
* The beauty of the cabin itself, both inside and out, captivated us the entire time we were there
I also cannot say enough about Randy and Yvonne. Two very generous and caring hosts! Communication was above and beyond, and, the little things that were important to us were important to them. We could not have been more blessed.
Each member of our family left enriched by our time together and the beauty, comfort, and charm of this rustic hideaway. Big enough for all 11 of us but small enough to feel cozy during the Sunday night thunderstorm that rumbled through the area.
We cannot say enough about this property and our experience. We were thankful that this cabin, despite the prolific amenities, still was rustic and "woodsy." We definitely felt we had gotten away from it all! :-)
Will we come back? Definitely! For a special getaway or as a home base to explore the area (and Nashville as well) this is an unforgettable experience (and one that we hope to repeat in the future.)
Thank you, Randy and Yvonne, for everything!
We enjoyed our extended family stay at this lake cabin. We had 14 people in our group (ages 5 to 67). There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out and enjoy time to relax and play. The property is on a beautiful piece of Kentucky land. We enjoyed the several decks/porches that allowed us to take in nature any time of the day. The kids really enjoyed having a fire pit to roast marshmallows and have s'mores. And we all loved being able to explore a little in the woods. The cabin was very clean and well stocked (even had roasting sticks for the s'mores).
From the moment we walked in, we loved this place! There was a few nice treats and note to welcome us. This place has all the extra things that you donât think to bring so there was no worry about heading out to get things. Plenty of space and our kids loved the loft area where they stayed and did a lot of their playing. Definitely would recommend this cabin!
We are so excited that you're checking out our cabin! We live in and have raised our family in Barren County. We enjoy cruising around beautiful Barren River Lake and spend quite a bit of time here soaking up the scenery. My wife and I both work in Glasgow and love to vacation when we can sneak one in.
