Welcome to The Diamond Star! Experience beachfront living in the best location Anna Maria Island offers! We invite you to our family home, originally built by my grandfather, legendary left-handed pitcher Warren Spahn, affectionately known as “The Diamond Star.”

Marvel at uninterrupted beachfront views, white sandy shores, turquoise waters, and stunning sunsets — just a glimpse of what awaits at The Diamond Star! Our beachfront house combines all the comforts of home with the luxury of an unforgettable beach retreat.

While TVs are available throughout the house, who needs them when you can enjoy magnificent ocean views from both master suites, the living room, and the kitchen? Savor a sunset dinner on our private decks, or wander down our exclusive path to the beach for endless fun in the sun. Relish your morning coffee with a beach stroll, or dive into activities like snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, flying kites, or building sandcastles! Keep an eye out for dolphins and manatees frolicking in the waves! We also provide most beach gear, including kayaks, paddleboards, boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers, towels, kites, sunshades, sand toys, and a handy push/pull cart for transporting everything to the beach.

After a sun-soaked day, unwind with a cocktail and watch the breathtaking sunset from the beach or our private deck. Head to the sandbar for appetizers, dinner, and drinks as the sun dips below the horizon. And don’t forget your camera for family photos!

Our charming 5-bedroom home features 4 king beds and two sets of bunk beds, with each bedroom boasting its own full bathroom. Newly furnished in 2025, the house provides ample space for family fun — whether it's playing board games, starting a puzzle, or enjoying a movie night! Embrace outdoor cooking on our grill while engaging in yard games or taking a refreshing swim in the pool. We offer cornhole, ring toss, bocce ball, and a giant Jenga set for your entertainment! Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare family meals, and we even have a high chair for the little ones! The Diamond Star offers super-fast (free) WiFi that extends throughout the inside and outside of our home!

Please note the following house rules:

- **No animals of any kind** are allowed in our home due to family allergies—no exceptions.
- **No smoking or vaping** of any kind is permitted in or on the premises.
- **No parties or events** are allowed.
- The city of Anna Maria enforces a **strict noise ordinance**; quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM.
- The **minimum age of the primary renter** is 25 years old.
- The **maximum occupancy** is 8 people, which includes overnight guests, day visitors, and children. Please be aware that breaking any house rules may result in immediate eviction and a loss of all payments and deposits.

For your safety, we have exterior-only video cameras on the premises.

Amazing location and great property.

Fantastic beachfront property, with the beach on the doorstep, cafes and shops within walking distance. Only negative would be the property is a little tired in places (exterior wood needs replacing, curtain rail on floor) But this doesn't detract from a lovely holiday and perfect location

Spectacular

I'm a little reluctant to write a review, as I wish I could could keep this place a secret. In additional to having a world-class beach view, every aspect of the property is just spectacular. An incredibly well-stocked and well thought out kitchen, towels - linens and pillows that you'd expect at a 5 star resort, every beach chair - umbrella - and beach toy you'd ever need, fantastic TV packages for rainy days, and on top of all that, the house is located on a quiet residential street in the desirable north AMI - yet still within walking or bike riding distance to all AM has to offer. Host Nicole has thought of everything, including being an wonderful Host to communicate with and rent from. Like the title says, all in all - just spectacular!

A true Diamond!

This is an amazing property in an amazing location! The beach view is spectacular to wake up to every morning and enjoy all day. We felt like we were on the beach even when we weren't physically on the sand. The outdoor beach closet is well stocked with everything you may want for beach fun. Comfortable furnishings throughout and a well stocked kitchen too. The location was in walking distance to restaurants and shops. We didn't have to leave the north end of the island. Looking forward to a return visit!

Christmas at the Beach

We had a fabulous trip. The area is wonderful and the house is in a perfect location….beachfront but walking distance to everything we needed. Beautiful view and a perfectly spotless house with everything we needed.

Great Family getaway

Perfect location with quick access to the beach. A quick look out of the massive glass windows gives you immediate access to what's happening. Very private neighborhood. The outdoor shower on the deck provided easy sand clean-up every time we entered the home. This home was more than spacious for us.

Wonderful visit

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home was in the perfect spot for viewing the most beautiful sunsets each night. We have 5 children ages 15, 13, 7, 5 and 5 and they all loved AMI. The house was spotless and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The beds were super comfortable! We also didn't have to worry with bringing beach supplies with us because the home supplies beach chairs, an umbrella, boogie boards, a paddlebaord and kayak,, and the list goes on! This freed up valuable packing space in our vehicle for the drive. The owner was extremely responsive and genuinely concerned that we enjoyed our time on AMI. We would love to book this home again!

Incredible beach/ocean views!

This beach house is perfect for your next beach front getaway. The beach was literally steps away and we enjoyed all the included beach necessities: wagons, chairs, and all the toys for kids to play in the sand.

Amazing location for young kids

We were traveling with a toddler and baby who still nap during the day, and this beachfront location was ideal. My husband and I felt we were at the beach, even when we had to be at the house due to. After bedtime we could listen to the ocean and look at the stars on the deck. Getting onto the sand was easy with the provided beach wagons, and simple to run back to the house If we forgot something. Outdoor shower was also excellent for kids! The location was walkable to plenty of restaurants, which we loved. Bedroom layout and downstairs living space was good for nappers, and we appreciated the provided high chair. The owner was very responsive over text. The home is being renovated in the fall which will match the structure to the 5-star location (deck was a little run down, one sliding door didn’t lock) so that is great news. But location made any small thing easy to over look! We even saw dolphins from the primary bedroom window every morning. Thanks for a lovely trip! We would book again.

Spring Break 2022

We enjoyed our week stay at The Diamond! The house was beautiful and the view was incredible! The house was well stocked with kitchen items, games, beach supplies, towels, and was very clean! It was a GREAT choice for our vacation.

Nice big house on a beautiful beach!

We enjoyed our stay at this beachfront place. The living room and master bedroom were roomy and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your meals, or enjoy the many restaurants on the island and mainland. The Ugly Grouper was a fun place and we loved Habanero Mexican on the mainland. The Donut Experiment was awesome and the AMI Beach Hut has huge ice cream scoops! Both of these are within walking distance. There was a little glitch getting into the house the first night because the keypad doesn’t work if the internet is out. But Nicole was very quick to respond to anything we needed. There are a few minor items that need repair, but I’m sure they will be taken care of soon since more updates are planned.

Highly recommend for a family stay!

This house has everything you need for an extended stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook for six adults for a week. The gas grill worked great. The beds are obviously brand new and very comfortable. Lots of hot water available for the many post beach showers. The proximity to the beach and the beach equipment supplied by the home owner allowed us to have the perfect Florida experience. Food, restaurants and shopping are just two blocks away and there is a great beach bar 1/3 mile down the beach! Sunsets at the beach or on the deck were memorable every night. Nicole is amazing to work with; super responsive and helpful.

Great location, Poor inside

What a wonderful spot. At the beach, at the ocean. Great location. View the ocean all day long. The problem was the insides. Very, Very poor kitchen utensils. Teflon was eroded from all the pans, so you would not want to use them. Shades were broken so they you had to manually close them. The lights were bad, poor light bulbs, etc. You would not expect all of this at this price. The owner has to put some money into making this a more attractive property. Again, the look to the outside and the location were perfect. But, the insides were deplorable.

It's Truly Paradise in Anna Maria

What an amazing house on the pristine beaches of Anna Maria Island. The house is perfectly located--on the beach with a path right outside the front door. The covered parking is an extra bonus, which was extremely helpful during rain showers and to protect from the afternoon sun. The porch off the main living area provides spectacular views of the ocean, including breathtaking sunset portraits. The house is well equipped and the air conditioning units work superbly! Our accommodations could not have been better. We will, most definitely, return to this property on a regular basis. All of the comforts of home, but you're in a home in paradise. What could be better? The property is also very close to great shopping and great dining venues. The famous Sand Bar is a mere stroll down the beach. Don't miss out on this property--the only way to experience paradise!

Great home, clean, comfy and beach at back door.

Great roomy vacation home for entire family or group of friends. We have been starying here for many years and continue to repeat. Quite, nearly private beach just out the backdoor. All amenities are described to a T.

While there are TV’s throughout the house, who needs them when you have incredible ocean views from the master bedroom, living and kitchen! Enjoy an incredible ocean sunset dinner on our private deck. Stroll down our private path to the beach for some fun in the sun. How about coffee or a walk on the beach? What about snorkeling, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, fly a kite or build a sandcastle! Don’t forget to look for the dolphins and manatees showing off in the water! Don’t worry we have most of your beach entertainment needs covered with kayaks, paddle boards, boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, kites, sun shade, sand toys, and a push/pull cart to assist you in getting everything to and from the beach!

After a fun full day in the sun, It’s time to make a cocktail and enjoy the most beautiful sunset from the beach or our private deck! Stroll down to the sandbar at sunset for appetizers, dinner and drinks. Don’t forget your cameras for family pics!

Our cozy 3 bedroom home currently has 1 king and two queen beds, however the week of November 15th the house will be getting all new furniture! We will be upgrading the house to 3 kings beds, new mattresses and all new bedding. Our house offers plenty of living space for the family to sprawl out, play a board game, start a puzzle or watch a movie! Cook outside on our grill while enjoying a yard game with the family! We have cornhole, a ring game, bocce ball and a giant Jenga set! Our kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to cook any family meal!

The Diamond Star comes with super-fast (free) WiFi that works throughout the inside and outside or our home!
