Highlights

Welcome to Talley Ho!, a jewel-box cottage nestled in the desirable Morgantown community. This 3-bedroom home offers access to two neighborhood pools, a kiddie pool, and two lighted tennis courts. Plus, you'll find several beach access boardwalks, including one just a few houses away.

The Space
This recently remodeled home combines beauty with comfort, featuring granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and solid surface flooring throughout. The owners have created a welcoming, stylish retreat designed to make your stay unforgettable.

The primary bedroom boasts a king-sized bed and a private bath with a double vanity, shower, and jetted tub. The second bedroom includes a queen-sized bed with access to a hall bath, while the third bedroom features a twin-over-full bunk and a private bath. Talley Ho comfortably accommodates up to 7 guests.

Room Layout:

Main Floor: Queen bedroom with hall bath.
Second Floor: King bedroom with private bath; twin/full bunk room with private bath.
Ample free parking is available. For your safety and security, an exterior camera is installed under the house, covering the interior staircase.

Important Notes
Renters must be at least 25 years old. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Fort Morgan and Morgantown
Morgantown is a charming seaside community featuring two swimming pools, a kiddie pool, two lighted tennis/pickleball courts, and multiple beach access boardwalks. With its pastel-colored homes and beautifully landscaped surroundings, the neighborhood exudes pride of ownership. Guests enjoy strolling or biking along the quiet streets, often renting golf carts for sunset rides. For added convenience, a public parking lot near the beach is located just west of Morgantown.

Located just 15 scenic miles from Gulf Shores, Morgantown puts everything you need within easy reach. Nearby essentials include Dollar General and Sassy Bass Market, while local restaurants like Tacky Jack’s, Sassy Bass (two locations), Coast, and the brand-new Jesse’s serve up delicious meals. Fishing enthusiasts will love the newly reopened Fort Morgan Fishing Pier, offering convenient access to inshore fishing and a variety of local species.

Nature lovers should explore the nearby Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge, a 7,000-acre coastal sanctuary. With four trails of varying lengths and terrains, it’s the perfect spot for hiking and observing local flora and fauna.

Super cute house

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the house. It had a few issues that could be fixed to make it awesome. Baseboard falling off the wall needing nailed, light fixture hanging out of ceiling and bathtub had a brown film that came put of the jets, also stains on couch and pillows in living room.

Not the greatest

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived there were 5 issues( leaking ceiling, broken bed, ice maker not working, blue crayon left in dryer and inside of dryer blue) 3 were addressed and fixed right away. The leaking ceiling they could not duplicate but did state that prior complaints received, my load of clothes that were ruined because a blue crayon was left in dryer was not addressed at all, some of those clothes were brought just for this trip!

Family Vaca!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was so nice not to have to wait in line for a hot, packed elevator! Tally Ho provided plenty of room for our 6 adults, 1 toddler, and 1 baby. With close proximity to the beach, we were able to walk down each morning and set up our beach gear then walk back and forth as needed. The house was so nice! Best family vaca with both my adult kids and their families! We would definitely come back to Tally Ho!

Perfect Vacation Home

I have a family of 5 that stayed there plus my mother in law and my daughter's friend. 7 people total and everyone had plenty of space. The Home was beautiful and perfect location for a beach vacation. Short walk to the beach and a short drive to stores nearby. I'd definitely consider this Home again on another GulfShores vacation. Property Management was awesome, quick to answer any questions. Very friendly, even came and met us the 1st morning. One of the best Management I've dealt with.

It's a Gem!

The beach sand is soft, not hard-packed. We stayed the month of February, so we still needed some winter clothes. Enjoyed golf at Peninsula and Gulf Links. Be sure to visit the charming town of Fair Hope on Mobile Bay. Our favorite breakfast restaurant in Gulf Shores is 'The Ugly Diner.' Royal Red Shrimp and Fried Crab Claws are a special treat!

Let's go Talley Ho!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Talley Ho was great!Very clean and airy.The walk to the beach is so, so easy and fast, like 5 minutes, maybe even less. Every morning I would load up our car with our beach set up and grab a nice spot, there is limited parking right there. Take the car back to the house for the day (to free up spots for those who really needed them), and then we'd bring back the car in the evening to load it all back up, easy peasy. One day we took our car on the ferry to Dauphin Island, so quaint! Just look up the ferry times online, and be aware the last two ferry's can fill up early so give yourself time to get back, or you'll have an almost 3hr drive back. We saw dolphins everyday we were at the beach and on the ferry! This was such a lovely trip in a beautiful beach house with a great location away from the Gulf Shores crowds. Highly recommend!!!! P.S. Cheri was so welcoming and gave us great tips for restaurants and places to go!

Quick get away before school starts.

We love Fort Morgan. This was our first stay in Morgantown. The house was just as described. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. The neighborhood was quiet and very laid back. The beach is visible from the top deck and is only a short walk away. Talley Ho is definitely on the second trip list.

First family trip to beach

Property was very nice. We definitely will be back and might even look into a bigger property to get more family here with costal view. Very easy to get ahold of property manager and was very nice! Area was very nice and everyone was friendly felt like a good neighborhood! The beach is close enough to walk to!

Great Vacation Rental!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in a bunch of rental properties in the Gulf and this one was one of the best! The house layout was perfect and super close, very short walk to the beach. The beds were very comfortable especially the master king bed which makes a big difference in a rental house! My kids fished everyday right off the beach and caught so many different kinds of fish! My only recommendation is to go through the kitchen at the end of the busy season and replace what needs to be replaced as there were no potholders for example. For the most part the kitchen was stocked nicely. I would definitely rent this house again!
